This summer, the hotels in Sapporo were quite expensive. I had made a reservation a while back, but the price was higher than usual. I chose this hotel because it included breakfast in the price, which seemed reasonable. It was nice to have a large communal bath. The breakfast wasn't too crowded, which made it easy to enjoy without having to wait in line. They had local meat dishes like Rusutsu pork bowl and Rusutsu pork curry, as well as Hokkaido specialties like Ishikari hot pot, using quality ingredients. The watermelon for dessert was delicious. I also enjoyed the vegetable tempura, chicken tempura, and soba noodles. The gratin and almond tofu were also tasty. The dishes were constantly replenished, and the service was efficient and pleasant.

I stayed here on a weekend because I had some free time. It cost a little over 6000 yen for two people with breakfast included. The location is great, near Sapporo Station. The room was spacious and clean. The front desk staff were friendly. The main reason for staying here was the breakfast, which had a high rating on Jalan. The breakfast area was surprisingly small, with only about 30 seats in total. The food was set up in a buffet style, with dishes like fried chicken and ginger pork available for unlimited servings. There were also many side dishes, including unique items like herring soba and crab chawanmushi. There were also salads and desserts available. Overall, the breakfast was good and lived up to its high rating. For the price, it was definitely worth it. The herring soba was delicious and I had four servings. I also enjoyed the breakfast at Hanakura Club in Hakodate. I would stay here again if given the chance.

A few minutes walk from Sapporo Station on all lines. Breakfast at the hotel where I stayed. The selection is like a typical business hotel, but there are also some unique items such as herring soba, Matsumae pickles, Hokkai golden, and scallop salted fish. Let's dig in! There are a lot of salads in the presentation, probably due to a guilty conscience about lack of vegetables. Overall taste is at the level of a typical business hotel. However, there are quite a few unusual items as mentioned earlier, so that's quite nice. I realized after finishing eating that there was also stew available, so I should have tried that. Anyway, thanks for the meal! Overall, quite satisfying. It's also nice that paper cups are provided for coffee and drinks that can be taken back to the room.

On the 5th day of my Hokkaido trip, I stayed at the Hokkawa Club in Sapporo. It is an old hotel but the rooms have been renovated and are clean. The breakfast was substantial as expected from Hokkawa Club, and the staff were very kind. In the evening, I arrived in Sapporo and took a stroll in Odori Park before having a sushi dinner at Arima. Later, I took a taxi to Moiwa Mountain and rode the ropeway to see the night view. It was a hot day but the weather was clear at night, providing a good view. I was prepared for long lines at the ropeway, but it wasn't too crowded so it wasn't too stressful. Sapporo was quite hot, not as much as Biei or Asahikawa, but still warm.

On September 12, 2017, the morning in Sapporo started at the hotel I stayed at, Hokke Club Sapporo. I had a breakfast included plan, but some people paid 1,080 yen in cash to enter. The breakfast service started at 6:30 am, but they opened 15 minutes earlier to prevent crowding. I arrived on time at 6:15 am, but I was the 10th in line. I grabbed a tray and started picking up food. There were various dishes like tarako (cod roe) on rice, salmon and tobiko delicacy, chawanmushi (savory egg custard), saury, bamboo shoots, crab meat omelette, zangi (fried chicken), chan-chan yaki (salmon and vegetables grilled with miso), Ishikari nabe (salmon and vegetable hot pot), herring soba, and more. My favorite was the tarako on rice. The crab meat omelette was also good. The chawanmushi was a bit sweet, maybe due to the local taste. The Ishikari nabe was lukewarm, and the saury was cold. There was a salad and a small amount of fruit, which was a nice touch. They provided paper cups for coffee in the room, which was thoughtful. I had coffee twice, once in the dining area and once in the room. I am so full now! Thank you for the meal!

I used it for breakfast during my hotel stay. I visited around 7:30 in the morning. The price is 1000 yen excluding tax. First, a female staff member greeted me at the entrance with a pleasant smile. I am happy to be welcomed by such a nice smile. I received a tray from the staff and started the buffet. There are not many dishes, but there are local specialties such as saury, salmon, egg omelet with snow crab, chawanmushi, and deer curry. The side dishes are delicious one by one. If you think about having seafood for lunch or dinner, the breakfast with calm local dishes is quite satisfying. If I could make one improvement, the rice was a bit soft and had some lumps, so it was a bit disappointing. I would be happy if the rice was crispy next time I stay. By the way, coffee also has paper cups for takeout. There are various considerations to make guests feel comfortable, and it was a pleasant breakfast. Thank you for the meal.

There were no salmon roe in the buffet today, so I couldn't have the salmon roe bowl. Instead, I had Ezo deer curry, Ishikari soup with herring and soba, grilled salmon Chan-chan yaki, Hokkaido chawanmushi, tofu grilled on a riverbank, rice porridge, and rice.

I stayed at the Hakata Club in Sapporo and had breakfast there, which I can't forget, so I had it without hesitation when I came to Sapporo. The breakfast venue is small, with no seafood, but each dish is of high quality, as expected from the Hakata Club. The chawanmushi, pork bowl-style stir-fry, and Hokkaido cream stew were especially delicious. The shirasu dashimaki was also good. It was nice to have hot milk next to the hot coffee to make a café au lait. The old man always drinks hot coffee even in the summer, so thank you for the meal.

It had been a long time (probably about 20 years) since I stayed here, and the accommodation plan included breakfast, so I used the restaurant in the hotel. The breakfast menu lined up with the typical breakfast you would have in a regular Hokkaido household, which was comforting. Dishes like pickled Chinese cabbage, simmered butterbur, and fish cake were all home-cooked flavors that you wouldn't find in other hotels. The only downside is that the breakfast here is limited to guests staying at the hotel.
