The canal-side branch seemed crowded, so I decided to go to the main branch, even though it was a bit far from the hotel. However, there were many foreign tourists even on a weekday, so I had to wait a bit before being seated. The first tea served was lukewarm, which was disappointing. Since it was dinner time, there was no lunch course available, so I ordered the lamp meat. The meat was smaller than I expected, but it was very tender and delicious. All the female staff members were cute, but their smiles seemed a bit cold.

In the 13th year of the Meiji era, the first railway line opened in Hokkaido for development, and in Showa 60, the 105-year-old railway history came to an end. During a walk on the former railway tracks, we stopped by at "Wagyuu Kurosawa Otaru Honten" for a break. The beef cutlet set meal made with Hokkaido's pride, "Shiraoi beef," was excellent. The beef patty made with 100% beef was delicious, especially with the sweet tomato sauce.

Food: Special top-grade white beef cutlet set meal for 3000 yen. First, a set other than the beef cutlet is brought, and the beef cutlet arrives about 10 minutes later. Rice is free to refill, but it seems salad is not. The miso soup contains seaweed and fried ingredients. The dressing for the salad is onion sauce. The beef cutlet is cooked rare and can be grilled to your preference. The meat is tough and doesn't melt in your mouth if it is rare or slightly cooked. It is recommended to cook it a little to enhance the flavor and make it easier to eat. Personally, I recommend cooking it to bring out the delicious taste of the meat. The sauces available are garlic soy sauce, wasabi, and grated ponzu sauce (wasabi goes well with garlic soy sauce). My favorite is the garlic soy sauce.

I have avoided writing reviews for this restaurant in Otaru, as it seemed to have rapidly increased its number of stores catering to Chinese tourists in the past year or two (based on the name). However, I decided to write one this time. It is a restaurant mainly serving sukiyaki, with options like gyukatsu as well. The interior was about half full at around 11:30 AM, with some customers having made reservations. I ordered the sukiyaki lunch set, which was around 1500 yen and came with a drink (I chose cola). The sukiyaki arrived, made with black wagyu beef, and was accompanied by miso soup and gobo mayo. I was surprised when I tasted the sukiyaki - it didn't taste like any sukiyaki I had tried before. It lacked the usual sweetness and saltiness of sukiyaki, tasting more like the broth that rises to the top of the pot. Additionally, the meat was in small pieces, unlike the whole slices shown in the pictures, which left me feeling a bit deceived. I don't think I will visit this restaurant again, even though I think it could be considered tasty as a hotpot. If you are planning to visit this restaurant based on this review, please keep in mind that the sukiyaki here is quite different from the usual sweet and salty sukiyaki you may be used to. Wagyu Kurosawa Main Store. I had the Wagyu Sukiyaki set meal and the Beef Cutlet set meal. Fugu Karaage and Milk Ice Cream were served as a complimentary service. I used 2,600 points from the Gotoeat program to pay around 1,000 yen. The food was delicious and it was a great restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

Visited at 4:00 PM on December 7, 2020. I missed lunch, so it was a late lunch or early dinner. Where should we go? After searching, we decided to try this place for the first time because it looked delicious. When we entered, there was no "Welcome." Not a great start. When I asked if it was okay to sit, they just said "Go ahead," without any guidance. We ordered the beef cutlet set for two. When it was brought to us, the meat was rare. You can also grill it to your liking, so you can enjoy it warm until the end. We had it with grated ponzu, wasabi, and yakiniku sauce. I personally liked the grated ponzu the best, but all three went well with the meat, so it was delicious. The meat was so tender that it was almost springy when lifted. Despite being tender, the price was not too high. Compared to other menu items like Kobe beef or Hokkaido beef, the price was much lower, so I wonder if it's processed meat? Nevertheless, we enjoyed it until the end. We also got some takeout and went home full. I would like to go again because it was delicious, but I hope they improve their customer service.

This is my third visit to this restaurant, and I went with my family this time. We had the Miyazaki beef sukiyaki set meal. It's a welcoming and cozy place in Otaru, with a good atmosphere. The prices are not too high, and you can eat to your heart's content, which is rare. The parking lot in front of the restaurant can accommodate about 4 cars. They are strict about street parking in the area, so if the parking lot is full, the staff will guide you to another spot. Last time, they had a half-price sale on all items (in the evening), which was quite impressive. This time, they had a new lunch menu and a half-price sale on beer and sour drinks (available during lunch too). I ordered the sukiyaki set meal for 1,540 yen including tax, which is a bit on the higher side for lunch. I also ordered a melon soda. The food was served after a short wait. As more customers came in, I felt relieved. The first time I came, there weren't many customers, so I was a bit worried, but they seem to attract lunch customers well. I lit the fire and waited a bit. The meat was delicious - tender and not too strong in flavor. They even said, "If you find it too bland, please let us know," which was nice. It did taste a bit light at first, but as it simmered, the flavor developed nicely. The vegetables were a bit lacking compared to the meat, but the udon and portion size were sufficient. They offer free rice refills, but I couldn't eat that much (laughs). The pickles and miso soup were delicious, as expected. Everyone in my group loved the flavors and enjoyed the meal (and I had a fun time drinking 6 beers with them. I was the designated driver, so I had melon soda...). The staff were friendly, and I would love to visit this lovely restaurant again. I hope more people write reviews about this place. I will definitely come back!

I went to Wagyu Kurosawa Otaru with my daughter. I had the recommended Wagyu cutlet set (first time trying it) and my daughter had the sukiyaki set! Beer! I let my parents drive, thinking they're a terrible driver! But because she's cute, I forgive her, a bad father, a parent fool.

Local Otaru. Otaru, a tourist destination, has been directly affected by the corona virus since around February, and the tourist street is quiet. I went to eat lunch at a shop I thought was for inbound tourists, and was pleasantly surprised by the high quality and reasonable prices, and I was satisfied. I received an email from a certain thermal paper company giving me 1,000 points. They probably want you to use it at izakayas or something, but I always use it for lunch. The choice of P-usable shops is limited, but this time I chose "Wagyu Kurosawa Main Store". They are offering a strange strategy of halving all menu items at night due to the impact of the corona virus, so I decided to support them by making a reservation for a seat only and visiting. There is a parking space in front of the shop where a few cars can be parked. When you enter the store, there is hand sanitizer at the entrance. The friendly female staff and male staff make me want to support this place... It cost 1,000 points, so I was thinking of ordering the ginger pork set meal for 800 yen + tax or the pork cutlet curry, but since it's Wagyu and it's in the name of the store, I decided to go with the Wagyu sukiyaki set for 1,090 yen + tax. At this shop, you get a free large serving of rice with set meals, and free rice refills. It's heaven for rice lovers! And a little happy thing is that soft drinks are complimentary!! I ordered a melon soda. I drink the melon soda that came early while listening to pleasant background music and spacing out. ...But no other customers are coming... It's lonely. The sukiyaki set has arrived. (With a little extra rice) Oh, it's a sukiyaki bowl. But it's in a box!!! It's great that the egg comes separately! This way, I can eat it the way I like...! I take a bite of the meat. Dip it in the egg, and then eat it (laughs). It's delicious!! The meat has just the right amount of fat. The rice soaked in the sauce is also delicious. The miso soup is also tasty! The pickles are not bad either! It's a really good shop. It exceeded my expectations in a good way! The sauce for the sukiyaki, or rather the broth, is delicious, and the meat itself is not tough, but soft and tender. They serve the meat in the most delicious state. I couldn't stop eating with chopsticks. I ordered a little extra rice, but I think it was a bit too much. It was a very delicious meal. Thank you for the meal. In November 2019, I visited the center of Otaru for the first time and found that a new restaurant, "Wagyu Kurosawa Main Store," had opened in a place that used to be a okonomiyaki restaurant. The restaurant is operated by Otaru Karubi, which has been opening various stores in different locations, showing a lively and energetic image. The menu offers luxurious options like Kobe beef sukiyaki set (12,000 yen), Matsusaka beef sukiyaki set (10,000 yen), and Hokkaido Wagyu sukiyaki set (5,000 yen), which may cater more to wealthy tourists. I decided to go for the lunch menu, choosing the tempura bowl. The lunch tempura bowl (1,000 yen) came with pickles, a side dish, and miso soup. The tempura included 2 large and thick shrimp, 2 squid, shiitake mushrooms, sweet potatoes, lotus root, and pumpkin. The tempura coating was crispy, but the shrimp had a slightly rubbery texture that I didn't like. The sweet potatoes, pumpkin, and lotus root may not be the best choices for tempura. The rice was slightly soft for a rice bowl, and the sauce had a slightly thick consistency, but I felt it was not significantly different from the sauce you find in supermarket tempura bowls. This experience made me realize the importance of a good tempura sauce.

I visited Wagyu Kurosawa Honten during my car inspection time. It was my first time, so I tried the lunch course with domestic beef charcoal-grilled Kappa Don (Otaru is Kappa recommended). It was a delicious bowl with meaty flavor. Thank you for the meal.

I have used this place for lunch twice. The lunch menu is rich and has a good portion size, but the service from the elderly female staff member was terrible. She was rude and sloppy, with messy hair and walking in a careless manner for someone working in a food service establishment. It was very disappointing.

My mother and I used the points we saved up at GOTO to eat at a restaurant where we can use them. The reviews were good, so we were excited to try it. We ordered the pork cutlet as recommended, but when we tasted it, it was not as good as we expected. Maybe my taste buds are not refined enough, as I always thought beef cutlet was better (sorry to the pork). I also tried my mother's eel and rice bowl, but it left me puzzled. Thank you for the meal.

The price of the beef cutlet is reasonable, similar to what I had in Shinjuku before. It's rare to find this price in a tourist spot. However, the eel is expensive and not very delicious.
