I met up with some old friends from my hometown for the first time in about 15 years. We went to an izakaya, and even though I was planning on ordering a lot from the menu, they said they had already eaten dinner. So, we carefully selected fried horse mackerel, grated raw fish, edamame, and horse mackerel sashimi along with the all-you-can-drink plan. The horse mackerel was delicious and plump, a real treat after so long. And of course, the grated raw fish was also delicious.

Furano City Honcho, in the bustling area around Furano Station, there is a chain izakaya restaurant called Hamayaki Hokkaido Uoman Furano. It seems that there used to be a sister store called Shirakiya in the same location. There is a menu at the entrance of the restaurant, but the same items are also available inside. The interior of the restaurant has box-type partitions, and the menu includes set meals with noodles and rice bowls, as well as zaru soba and bara chirashi set for 1150 yen. The soba noodles are thick and rustic, which I personally like. The bara chirashi is a mini bowl with various toppings. Despite being a chain izakaya, I think the quality is high. All-you-can-drink for 1200 yen, plus 200 yen for beer. Ordered spicy cod roe, seared grated daikon, Ginji-style potato salad, and doteyaki skewers. Today's second bar is Hamayaki Hokkaido Gyoman Furano Branch. It's great that I can do all-you-can-drink alone. Skipped the hamayaki and ordered small dishes. The potato salad had a pre-made feel like a hotel breakfast, but I drank quite a bit in about 90 minutes.

Furano Station area. I thought it was a seafood izakaya that I was not familiar with, but it turned out to be a Monterosa group restaurant. There seems to be one store in Atsubetsu Ward in Sapporo. The spacious interior had only a few customers, almost like a private room. All orders are done through a touch panel, so it's comfortable. You can order various dishes without worrying about the price. Let's start with a beer! (* ° ∀ °) ♡ The appetizer that came with it was a sticky okra, hijiki, and carrot salad. It was delicious, but maybe not suitable as an appetizer... I ordered various dishes, but the most delicious one was surprisingly the grilled scallops. Honestly, I didn't expect much since it was probably frozen, but even considering that, the scallops were delicious! After grilling, you pour the special sauce from Fishman and eat it, and maybe that sauce made it taste better? (laughs) It was also nice to be able to cook it to your liking (*^^*) Thank you for the meal!

I used it for lunch. The mixed fry set meal includes 2 shrimp fries, cream croquette, menchi katsu, and white fish fry. They were all okay in taste, nothing special... I guess. Well, it's 850 yen so I'm satisfied... It came with a bowl of rice, which was quite filling. The miso soup had grated yam in it? It was a pretty good amount. Rice and miso soup are free for refills. There were 2 side dishes, spinach and cold tofu. Surprisingly, the cold tofu was delicious. The parfait was topped with hot chocolate sauce and frozen fruits. The chocolate sauce was lukewarm. For 430 yen, the cost performance wasn't great. I also ordered orange juice, which was served in a juice glass commonly used in izakayas for 100 yen per glass. I was surprised by how cheap it was! I didn't check the daily special set meal, but I wish there were more meat options for lunch. Since it's a fish restaurant, there were many variations of seafood bowls and sashimi sets. This time, we reserved the kids' room because we had a large group, but there is a 2-3 hour time limit. However, about half of the room was a kids' space with a slide, pretend play toys, and toy cars. I think it's good for families with children.

There was some business in Furano... and I have a little time to spare♪ I'll wander around Furano during the day... There was a new shop that wasn't there before, "Uoman"... It looks like a chain store, but it was rare in Furano, so let's give it a try! Taking off my shoes and entering the store... It's a spacious store... with a layout that feels like semi-private rooms? They didn't guide me right away... but I patiently waited. The cute female staff in yukata-like uniforms seemed busy... but there were only about 3 groups of customers... I was guided to my seat and looked at the menu, which seemed to focus on seafood... I was hoping for soba, but oh well? The "Today's Sashimi Set" for 1050 yen... I waited for about 20 minutes ( ˙꒳˙ ) First... the smell was overwhelming... I immediately noticed that the sardine was discolored, so I flipped it over with my chopsticks to confirm it was bad, then changed chopsticks and tried the other sashimi that seemed okay with the rice... ( '༥' )ŧ‹"ŧ‹"ŧ‹"... Hmm... it's cheap but... I can't eat this... I'll try making vinegar rice with the magic powder I always carry... How about the negitoro? It looks kind of white and greasy... like eating lard (๑¯ロ¯๑) Especially the sardine... both pieces had tails... what's up with that? Normally, you discard this part, right? Some places serve it! Surprisingꉂ(*°∀°*)ﾊﾊﾊ Too bad...

I suddenly felt like eating grilled fish, so I visited a restaurant and ordered grilled Atka mackerel, scallops, rice, and oolong tea. The total came to 2636 yen. The rice was a bit hard and lumpy. The grilled scallops were cooked using a gas stove at the table. You need to call the staff for recommendations and to pay the bill. The appetizer was dried daikon radish, priced at 430 yen. The Atka mackerel was machine-cut, making it difficult to eat the crispy parts near the bones. I prefer it to be hand-cut. The rice was so hard that I had to moisten it with the sauce from the scallops before eating. I hope they pay more attention to the rice texture next time.

The total bill was 3,798 yen including tax. The charge was 438 yen for a 90-minute all-you-can-drink, with an extension of 30 minutes costing 530 yen. The seafood sashimi was 548 yen, onion slices were 328 yen, grated cod roe was 438 yen, scallops were 329 yen, and LINE clams were 109 yen. Overall, not bad, but the cost performance is a bit lacking. The salty staff received high praise. Let's order two more dishes and leave after 90 minutes!

Seafood bowl and non-alcoholic drink for 1,300 yen. It's average. The seafood bowl costs 1,000 yen and the non-alcoholic drink costs 300 yen. The cost performance is not great. The taste is ordinary, nothing special. I wouldn't come here on purpose. This izakaya is just okay, nothing stands out.

You can enjoy seafood dishes at a relatively reasonable price. Considering that Furano is an inland town, it would be good for hosting a drinking party with all-you-can-drink options.

The ingredients were good, but it was very disappointing that the fried chicken came out cold.
