On the morning after revisiting the hotel, I ended up drinking quite a bit of shochu at the hotel (lol), but I woke up feeling refreshed thanks to the comfortable air conditioning. Now, time for breakfast! I stayed at a place that offers free breakfast, which is quite convenient. It was my third time staying at Toyoko Inn Sapporo Station Nishiguchi Kitadaimae. When I went to the lobby at the designated breakfast time, the dining area was already full and there was a long line, making me briefly think, "Should I just buy something from the convenience store?" But since it was free, I decided to wait in line (lol) and ended up taking the food back to my room due to the crowded situation. Rice is a must, and I also tried some bread (lol) along with a few side dishes that seemed fitting. Back in the room, I enjoyed the meal. I've had Toyoko Inn breakfasts many times before, and I guess it's okay since it's free (lol). Still, it's really helpful. The sausages were delicious as usual, and the chicken meatballs were a nice addition to the meal. Oh, I should have brought some coffee. Well, I have tea, so I'll just drink that. Before I knew it, the meal was over (lol). Well, tomorrow I'll be staying in Sapporo again, but I couldn't book consecutive nights, so I'll have to pack up and check out. I have a full day of training ahead, so I need to get my spirits up! It was a delicious breakfast! Thank you!

[Breakfast] I had some bread, but by 7:00 a.m., I felt like having a proper breakfast (lol). Well, I'll eat lightly and head to the training. Toyoko INN Sapporo Station Nishi-guchi Kitamidai [2nd time] I don't really feel the impact of COVID anymore, as breakfast is being served in the lobby as usual. Although they allowed us to take it to our rooms, I decided to eat in the lobby. I'll have a light... really light meal. Just a little rice, with the bare minimum of side dishes, like miso soup. Toyoko Inn's breakfast is really just a service, so I shouldn't be too picky. It's enough to fill my stomach, with a decent lineup and taste. The sausage and sweet potato tempura were delicious♪ It was just the right amount for breakfast. Satisfied. Now, I'll take a shower, get ready, and head to the training. Since I'm staying multiple nights, I don't need to tidy up the room. Let's do our best! Thank you for the delicious breakfast today! It was delicious! Thank you for the meal♪

I stayed at a hotel located near Hokkaido University, walking distance from Sapporo Station West Exit. The room I stayed in was unique, with twin beds separated by a bathroom. The hotel is quite old, which gives it a dark atmosphere, but overall it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included in the stay, with a decent variety of dishes. It was not a large selection, but the food was tasty and satisfying.

This may be my first time at this Toyoko Inn. It's the Toyoko Inn Kitajima. As the name suggests, you can see Hokkaido University campus from the window, it's a hotel very close to Hokkaido University. There's also a CoCo Ichibanya very close by. Actually, it's right next door. And a Seiko Mart is also nearby. There is no parking lot, so you have to park at the nearby Yodobashi Camera parking lot and walk. If you're driving, it might be better to park at the north entrance. Starting from November 17th, the breakfast service has been changed to a buffet style. You wear a mask and gloves and pick only the items you like. They provide trays for eating in the dining area and packs for room service, just like other Toyoko Inns. The bread in a plastic bag that you can take home was appreciated, and I used it as a souvenir for my companion who was still sleeping in the room. Thank you for the meal! I haven't been to this Toyoko Inn much, so it was interesting!

Yesterday, I had a great time staying here! I stayed at Toyoko Inn Sapporo Station Nishi-guchi Kitamachi, which was pre-booked for a single room in the 3,000 yen range. It's better to stay and relax if that's the case. In the end, I bought a pack of Kuro Kirishima 900 at the convenience store and drank it at the hotel (laughs). It's always like that. Now, I'll take a good rest and have breakfast. Toyoko Inn offers free breakfast, which is nice. Last time, it was in Susukino Minami, and they already had the regular buffet set up, which was the same this time. However, this time I chose the bento-style for taking back to the room. They served hot rice and put miso soup in a cup, which was great. The side dishes were all above standard in taste. It's very important that the rice and miso soup are hot. I ate quickly, but I was quite satisfied (^^♪ Now, I just have to go back, but I'll make a little detour (laughs). Is this the grand finale of enjoying Sapporo? Thank you for taking care of me! It was delicious! Thank you♪

Breakfast on Sunday, August 8, 2020. I stayed at my usual hotel, Toyoko Inn. It is located on the corner of a intersection in front of the main gate of Hokkaido University. In the past, this area had many traditional inns. People used to stay overnight to receive medical treatment at Hokkaido University Hospital, so the inns were thriving. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, breakfast is no longer buffet-style. Instead, the food is already plated and covered with plastic wrap. The lobby is not very spacious, so seating is a bit close. The breakfast menu includes scrambled eggs, sausages, and more. It was neither outstanding nor disappointing. I stayed at a fairly reasonable rate thanks to the Sapporo Summer Discount program, a tourism support program implemented by the city of Sapporo.

※We are refraining from evaluating cost performance as the content and price of dining with accommodation vary depending on the room grade and arrangement method. This is a business hotel near Sapporo Station. As expected, there are many guests staying in Sapporo, as there are five Toyoko Inns in Sapporo city. This Toyoko Inn is located on the west side after exiting the north exit of Sapporo Station, just before Hokkaido University. Toyoko Inn is a low-cost and functional business hotel, and all plans include breakfast. Therefore, the individual price of breakfast is not known. What I had was: Breakfast Breakfast is available from 6:30, but everything is ready by 7:00, starting with bread and coffee. Although the variety of dishes is not that large, it seems more fulfilling than the Toyoko Inn in Kyoto that I used last time. The salad includes fresh vegetables, potato salad, sesame seasoned spinach, simmered konjac, meatballs, sausages, and boiled eggs. There are two types of rice, white rice and hijiki rice, and also bread. The soup is only miso soup. You can also have coffee. The abundance of vegetables is attractive. It's nice to have this much vegetables for breakfast. The sausages are eaten with ketchup, the meatballs are pre-made, but the boiled egg is excellent. It's a small size, about medium, but the flavor is solid. It's cut in half, and the yolk is half-cooked enough not to flow out. The cooking varies depending on the individual, but since it's cut in half, you can choose your preference, which is nice. I'm happy with the hijiki rice as well. After the meal, you have coffee, and since it's in a paper cup, you can take it back to your room, which is convenient. This is my second time at Toyoko Inn, and I had a better impression than last time, so everything is positive. It's healthy to get plenty of vegetables, and it would be appreciated if they could standardize this level of quality.

I stayed here for two nights this time. Breakfast is available from 7:00 am, but you can have bread and drinks (coffee and orange juice) from 6:30 am. The dining area is located in the lobby on the first floor and can accommodate 38 people at once. There are 24 three-person round tables, 16 sixteen-person square tables, and 28 twenty-eight-person square tables. Perhaps because it was a weekday, it never got full and people came and went at a good pace. The buffet-style dishes lacked a homemade feel, but there was a wide variety and the flavors were diverse. Everything was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I had breakfast at the familiar Toyoko Inn buffet, which is the first one in Hokkaido. I had white rice with bonito flakes, miso soup, spaghetti, salad, tamagoyaki (rolled omelette), meatballs, toast with margarine and strawberry jam, and hot coffee. The spaghetti, salad, tamagoyaki, and meatballs are common menu items at other Toyoko Inn locations, so there is a sense of reliability. There were no particular local Hokkaido dishes, but the white rice seemed to be locally sourced, so I was able to taste a bit of Hokkaido.

On Saturday at Toyoko Inn. Just like in Fukuoka the other day, there are no vacancies in Sapporo as well. There are many foreigners in the city too. As for Toyoko Inn, there are new facilities such as check-in/check-out machines, but the room facilities are old. The breakfast is quite good.

Toyoko Inn allows payment with gift certificates, so I used JCB gift cards and rice vouchers obtained through points or shareholder benefits to pay for my stay, which was very cost-effective. However, it was difficult to secure a room on weekends at this hotel, so I made a reservation for 3 nights almost 6 months in advance using my membership benefits. As for the breakfast review on Tabelog, Toyoko Inn offers its own unique breakfast options, usually consisting of onigiri and a couple of side dishes. Here, breakfast is served from 6:30 am with a wide variety of dishes that are satisfying and filling. The only downside is that it's easy to overeat in the morning, but I was satisfied with the portion sizes during all 3 nights.

I came to Sapporo. I stayed at the typical Toyoko Inn, but this time I chose the one near Hokkaido University. It's less than a 5-minute walk from Sapporo Station, but there is no parking lot, so those with rental cars need to be careful. For breakfast, there was quite a variety at the buffet. There were hamburgers, sausages, scrambled eggs, and surprisingly many side dishes for a Toyoko Inn. I chose a roll bread, but instead of the usual rice balls, there was rice. I haven't been to all Toyoko Inns, but it seems that the breakfast buffet varies depending on the location.

I finally managed to get a reservation at Toyoko Inn Sapporo Station Nishi-guchi Kitadaimae, a business hotel with free breakfast service on weekends. I had stayed at Toyoko Inn in Sapporo at various locations before, such as the south exit, north exit, Susukino intersection, and south Susukino, but this was my first time at Kitadaimae. I was a bit tipsy from a networking event and live performance, dragging my luggage as I checked in. Recently, there are many business hotels offering free breakfast, but I appreciate the Japanese style breakfast with rice and miso soup, not just bread and coffee. I always eat breakfast, and I need rice and miso soup. It's strange how I can eat more at a hotel than at home, even though I don't intentionally overeat just because it's free.
