Visited around 1:20 pm on a Sunday in August 2023. There were about 3 groups ahead of us waiting in line. I had been wanting to come here for a while, so I was prepared to wait. It took about 5 minutes to reach the ticket machine, and I ordered the Three Major Kombu Dipping Noodles and Zhong Kui Don, while my wife chose the Pork Broth and Dried Sardines with extra noodles. The restaurant was full, so we sat on chairs and waited. After about 5 minutes, we were seated. I was prepared to wait longer, but we got in sooner than expected. We sat at the counter with Southern music playing in the background. Customers kept coming in, but the turnover seemed good. Water was self-service, so we poured our own. There were condiments like shichimi and black pepper on the table. The ramen arrived in about 5 minutes. First, I tried my wife's Pork Broth and Dried Sardines. The delicate flavor of the dried sardines was delicious. The balance of the soup was good, not too heavy, and went down smoothly. The sweet and crunchy onions added a nice texture. The noodles were chewy. The soup stayed warm until the end. I wanted to finish it all, but I held back. The Three Major Kombu Dipping Noodles, even just the noodles alone, were delicious. The gentle saltiness of the kombu water was tasty on its own. When dipped in the broth, the balance of saltiness was perfect. The meat and fat in the dipping sauce were sweet. The large slices of chashu matched well with the broth, it was amazing. There was no unpleasant smell, and it seemed like they made it to go well with anything. Among the recent mediocre restaurants, I was very satisfied. I would definitely line up to eat here again when I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered tsukemen. The noodles coated in kombu water, dipped in a broth with green onions and spicy black pepper, taste three times better. This is delicious. The noodles are shiny and have a good texture, with a strong wheat flavor and a solid umami from the kombu. Squeezing the lemon served towards the end enhanced the dish, but it might have been better to add it earlier. The lemon goes really well with it. They also provide a strong broth that you can mix in different ratios to enjoy. I like the balance between the extracted umami from the kombu and the punchy dipping sauce that doesn't overpower. I usually prefer ramen, but I actually liked the tsukemen more at this place. Thank you for the meal.

The special house-style soy sauce ramen with extra noodles, rice. The ramen has a house-style "feel" but the taste is definitely authentic. The thick soup is addicting, even if you think "I should stop," you find yourself drinking more. The seaweed is a big impact, but it's a bit of a hassle to tear and put in (lol). The other toppings like chashu are the same as Shouki's niboshi ramen, which is a bit different from typical house-style ramen. The thick noodles go well with the soup and provide a satisfying bite. If you order rice, regular size is better. You can also get garlic on the side for flavor variation, which is nice.

The ramen shop that has been making a lot of noise in the media recently. There is always a line of cars passing by, but I was able to get in without waiting on a weekday. I ordered the recommended back fat and dried fish ramen. It's the era of 1000 yen. The staff's customer service is also good. The ramen had a refined taste, with a soup that is not overly fishy, which is rare in Sapporo. The manager even reminded customers to be careful on their way home. That's unusual. Next time, I want to try the soy sauce ramen. It was delicious.

I went there on Sunday after 3 PM and there was a line. It has become a very popular restaurant. I had an elegant style ramen that was delicious without any strong smell. They also seem to have limited edition items, which I am curious about. Thank you for the meal!

This is a restaurant I have always wanted to visit. Finally, I had the chance to go and there was already a line of about 10 groups before noon! It's a popular place. I was looking forward to trying the tsukemen and rice dishes, while my husband ordered the limited edition ramen. It was a very hot day, but everyone was ordering a variety of menu items. We were seated and our food arrived in about 10 minutes. I was so excited to try it! The noodles were delicious, with a smooth texture and a refreshing taste of kelp. Dipping them in the broth made them even more delicious! The rice was also slightly salty and fantastic! My husband's ramen was also tasty and we shared a bit. It exceeded our expectations. We finished our meals and when we left, the line had almost doubled! Even though we were full, we were happy with the delicious food and the satisfaction of finally being able to come here. I can't wait to go back again soon. Thank you for the meal!

I visited seeking the limited-time menu of house-style soy sauce white broth in September. At Shouki, they offer monthly limited-time menus in addition to their regular menu, and the quality is outstanding. This time's ramen is more like house-style, with a good balance of pork bone and soy sauce flavors. The broth has a rich and creamy taste. The noodles are also the right kind for house-style, which is short and satisfying. Next time, I will ask for the noodles to be cooked firm and add garlic. It was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The first of the three major konbu dipping noodles, the flavor of the konbu water soaking the noodles is amazing. I tried a little bit of the noodles as is, but it made me want more, so I quickly stopped myself. When you dip the noodles in the broth, a different flavor hits you hard. The noodles also have a great wheat flavor that doesn't get overshadowed by the broth, and the smooth texture is excellent. Wow, it's really delicious. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for the meal.

I finally got to visit the popular restaurant! I went around 5 pm when it was less crowded because they are open all day. The menu is so extensive, it's hard to decide. I ordered the "Back Fat and Dried Fish" ramen. The thick and chewy noodles in the unique soup from Menya Taeoh perfectly complement each other! The slight bitterness at the end is irresistible. I want to try all the other menu items too!

I was able to try the limited menu announced on SNS for just that day after waiting in line for a bit. I also ordered a mini Zhong Kui bowl. Both the ramen and the mini Zhong Kui bowl were incredibly delicious. I would love to have this ramen again. Luckily, I was able to find a parking spot this time, but it's usually a struggle. Thank you for the meal!

I lined up at a customer's recommendation for a delicious ramen shop and tried their kombu tsukemen with extra char siu topping. The kombu noodles were delicious on their own as well. The rice bowls were also excellent. Thank you for the meal. The staff was also very friendly.

I arrived at the restaurant a little after 1 o'clock! I usually see a line from my car, but today there was only one person waiting! A chance? I thought, so I decided to give it a try. I have a weak stomach, so I have always avoided fatty ramen, but I couldn't resist my curiosity. Among them, I chose the Kyoto soy sauce ramen, which seemed light? I also enjoyed changing the taste with the recommended apple vinegar halfway through, and ended up slurping it all up! I recommend it to ramen lovers. Thank you for the meal! (My stomach was fine) On the way back, there was quite a line.

Arrived at the restaurant at 10:56 am on Saturday. There were 5 people already in line. 4 more people joined after me, and one person was waiting when the store opened. More customers arrived steadily afterwards. The restaurant is located a 5-minute walk from the North 24th Street subway station, exit 2, on the opposite side, crossing the Sosei River and turning left on Higashi 1-chome Street. It opened in January last year. The owner previously started a super famous restaurant called "Seaburano Kami" in Kyoto (I haven't visited it). Sapporo's intense heatwave is expected to ease off today. The background music playing was by Kuwata Keisuke. It's funny that it's not a song by Southern All Stars (laughs). There were 2 staff in the dining area and 1 in the kitchen. I purchased the "Hokkaido's Three Great Kombu Cold Noodles" limited to the second half of August (1100 yen) from the ticket machine this time. It feels a bit awkward to order a limited item on my first visit, but it's so hot that I had no choice (laughs). The dish arrived in about 10 minutes after the previous customer's order. The soup had a flavor similar to tororo kelp. Oh, I might not really like this... The noodles in the cold noodles were as thin as normal ramen noodles, with a good chewy texture. The chashu consisted of 1 piece of pork and 3 pieces of chicken, both delicious! There was also a half-cooked seasoned egg. Other toppings included white leeks, green onions, and thinly sliced cucumbers. I added two pumps of apple vinegar towards the end. It transformed the taste to a refreshing flavor, removing the tororo kelp sensation! It was satisfyingly delicious. It was a bit different from my personal preference, but I could definitely feel the high quality. Maybe I should have added the apple vinegar earlier... The staff's service was also good. I'll try the "Sichuan Scented Lard Miso" next time. The "Zhong Kui Don" also looked delicious. There were about 10 people in line when I left the restaurant.

I've always wanted to go to Shouki-san! I saw it on TV and I just knew it would be my kind of place. I couldn't sleep at night because I wanted to go so badly. It was around 3 pm on a weekday, and even though it was 34°C outside, I still wanted to eat ramen, yes, yes. I had already decided on the tsukemen without even looking at the menu! But even after getting my ticket, I started to hesitate. The person next to me was eating the limited edition cold kelp broth ramen and it looked so delicious! It's only available until August 31st, so I think I'll have to come back before then. The restaurant is self-service, and they bring you water. I personally like the considerate notes to the staff, it made me feel warm knowing the owner cares. The ramen arrived in just 10 minutes! The noodles were soaking in the broth, sparkling! It's really amazing how the noodles don't get soggy while soaking, how does that work? The noodles were so firm and I couldn't wait to eat them! The elegant taste of the kelp spread throughout my mouth. Is this already perfect? I ate about half in this state. The dipping sauce had a salty base and a good punch! It had pork, onions, and green onions with a hint of sweetness. It was exactly my type of flavor. I also added some black shichimi pepper halfway through for the aroma. The chashu that I usually leave behind was gone in a flash. It was tender, moist, and not greasy, a really delicious chashu. I was impressed by the soup split! Many places tend to have a slightly sour taste when you split the soup at the end, but here it was delicious! I could drink this soup every day. It was so smooth and mellow, I feel like splitting the soup at the end is the way to enjoy this ramen. It was quite a hearty ramen, but I finished it all, drank all the soup, even finished the kelp broth, and my partner's soup too, showing off my hearty appetite. There are many other menu items I want to try, but the tsukemen was so delicious that I might have a hard time deciding again. It's a fun dilemma! I will definitely go back again!! Thank you for the meal ✧

The special back fat dried fish ramen was ¥1,350, with an additional small rice for ¥100, totaling ¥1,450. It was delicious. The balance of dried fish and back fat was good, resulting in a smooth flavor. The noodles were thick and chewy. The thick and large slices of chashu provided a satisfying eating experience. While it was tasty, I personally prefer the dipping ramen more.

We waited for about an hour in line. The parking lot is small but available. It's a bit challenging for people who are not good at driving. I ordered the limited-time cold tantan noodles (I thought I would regret not trying it today) for my first visit. It was surprisingly delicious, the best I've had in a while. Other people around me ordered various items like konbu water tsukemen, and it seems like everything is delicious rather than having a standout menu item. This place is worth trying all the menu items. Many people also ordered side dishes like rice. Thank you for opening a branch all the way from Kyoto.

The ramen was delicious. I felt joy after a long time. It was Monday afternoon, I hadn't eaten anything and decided to visit the restaurant on a whim. I remembered back to the days when I was studying on my own and there weren't any ramen shops like this one. I hate to say it, but Kobe doesn't have many good ramen shops. So I'm always careful when choosing a place, and even when I have high expectations, they are often not met. I stumbled upon this shop and decided to try it out. The Ajitama Kyoto Back Fat Shoyu Ramen for ¥1050 was delicious with a sweet chicken broth base and thick back fat. And the dipping noodles my companion had were even better. The pork belly and green onion salt base dipping sauce pierced through my hungry mind. I want to come back to try other types of ramen here. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the ramen restaurant called Men Shouki in Sapporo for a solo lunch during my business trip. It is located about a 5-minute walk from Kita 24-jo Station. Men Shouki opened in January 2022 and quickly became a popular ramen spot with long lines. The owner of the popular Kyoto restaurant "Seaburano Kami" moved to Sapporo and opened this new shop. I arrived around 1:00 pm and there were about 5 people waiting, including in the waiting area. Since Sapporo is much cooler than Tokyo, I decided to wait outside. I got inside after about 10 minutes. The interior of the restaurant was bright and spacious. I bought my meal ticket at the entrance ticket machine. There were monthly limited menu items available, but this time I ordered the following: - Chashu Three Great Kombu Water Dipping Noodles 1,550 yen - Extra Large Dipping Noodles +100g 150 yen - Topping: Rich Flavored Egg 150 yen - Shouki Bowl 450 yen, totaling 2,300 yen. I definitely ordered too much food! There were 10 seats in total at the counter and tables. I handed over my meal ticket and was seated at a large table where multiple people shared. On the table, there were black shichimi pepper, ichimi pepper, apple vinegar, chopsticks, toothpicks, paper napkins, and disinfectant alcohol available. Water was self-service. After about 10 minutes, the dipping noodles, Shouki bowl, and a bottle of soup were served. The table was spacious and convenient. I was told to enjoy the noodles first, which were already soaked in kombu water and full of flavor. Squeezing the lemon provided added a refreshing touch. The dipping sauce had a refined saltiness and paired perfectly with the noodles and toppings, making the overall dish surprisingly delicious! I also enjoyed the soup at the end. The Shouki bowl had a generous amount of diced chashu cooked in a sweet and savory sauce, topped with a fluffy egg yolk. Considering the price of 450 yen (half size for 300 yen), it was also great value for money! With a good number of staff and efficient service, Men Shouki is a fast-paced restaurant. If there's a small line, don't hesitate to wait. The customer service is excellent. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant at least once.

Three major kombu dipping noodles (1200 yen) and a half Zhong Kui rice bowl (300 yen). This was my second visit since the opening. I waited for 30 minutes in the harsh winter, and almost got frostbite because I wasn't wearing gloves – a funny memory now. The back fat dried fish I had that time was really delicious, but I don't like crowded places, so it had been a while since my last visit. Thanks to everyone's reviews, I couldn't resist coming back. It was late afternoon on a weekday, so the wait was only 15 minutes. I had an idea of how it would taste, but it exceeded my expectations. How should I eat this? The kombu dipping noodles are complete with just the broth and noodles. This noodle is amazing. Do I even need the dipping sauce? I might just finish it as is and squeeze lemon for a flavor change in the second half. When I tried the dipping sauce, it was like a delicious pot-au-feu soup. The saltiness matches the dipping sauce, but it's also complete as a soup, right? Or maybe it would be amazing to cook daikon or oden ingredients in this broth? With some hesitation, I dipped the noodles in the dipping sauce and slurped. Ahh. The noodles become slightly softer. This is also delicious, but personally, I prefer alternating between the kombu dipping noodles and the soup. And the Zhong Kui rice bowl. It's definitely tasty. The sweet and spicy grilled coriander with rich egg yolk. Are they using sweet chili sauce? Dipping noodles, dipping sauce, and Zhong Kui rice bowl – a triangular feast. Yummy. I finished the noodles first. Of course, I drank the kombu broth as well. Then, I diluted the dipping sauce with the bottled soup, added black seven spice. I sprinkled black seven spice on the Zhong Kui rice bowl and finished it. It feels like eating a new course meal, not quite Japanese, not quite French. I'm full. I'm satisfied. I can't stay away for so long. I'll visit again soon. I'll come back to try the back fat dried fish and back fat soy sauce. Thank you.

I lined up before the opening to eat the limited Duck, Chicken, Pork, and Egg Yolk Mazesoba. I tried the Mazesoba made with Wing Noodles that I had been curious about. It looked delicious, and when I took the first bite after mixing it well, the umami flavor of the kelp spread throughout my mouth! It has a gentle taste. They use kelp oil. When I added lemon and yuzu pepper to change the flavor, it was also delicious in a different way. The Wing Noodles have a unique shape that adds to the texture when mixed with the ingredients and sauce. The Duck, Chicken, and Pork were also incredibly delicious! I finished by adding kelp rice. This restaurant is really good. I think I'll be hooked for a while. When it cools down, I'll go try the Pork Belly and Dried Fish Mazesoba.

Three major kombu dipping noodles: 1,200 yen This is my second visit, last time I had ramen so this time I tried the dipping noodles. The pricing is quite reasonable. The noodles come in a bowl with soup, and the soup is already flavored so they advised me to try it without adding any additional soup at first. It definitely has a kombu flavor, with a lemon on top making it light and refreshing. It's tasty even without adding anything else. Afterwards, I dipped the noodles in a separate warm soup, and it was delicious. It's light but also has a rich taste with about three slices of pork belly. The noodles and soup are delicious, but the chashu is incredibly large, tender, and tasty. It was a satisfying lunch.
