This month's second food adventure was at Kubota Agri Front Cafe, where I had the "Vegetable-packed Chicken Soup Curry" set for lunch. Located inside the Hokkaido Ball Park F Village, this cafe is part of the agricultural learning facility operated by the agricultural machinery manufacturer Kubota. The cafe opened at the end of March, and it aims to encourage customers to think about the ingredients used in their meals, serving as a learning opportunity. As expected from a facility operated by an agricultural machinery manufacturer, the cafe is located to the right of the main entrance. Upon entering, you place your order and payment at the counter, receive a receipt with a number, and find a seat in the self-service area. The food menu includes three options: the vegetable-packed Chicken Soup Curry, the vegetable-filled Minestrone, and the creamy Carrot Potage. The Curry comes with a choice of rice or bread, and you can also opt for a set that includes salad and a drink. The drink options include coffee, tea, apple juice, grape juice, tomato juice, as well as local Hokkaido specialties like "Garana" and "Soft Katsugen." For an additional fee, you can upgrade to a Cappuccino, Spicy Chai, Lassi, and more. I chose the Lassi. The curry had a tomato base with a thick consistency similar to a roux curry, and the spiciness was mild. The chicken leg was tender, and the vegetables included pumpkin, bell pepper, eggplant, tomato, shiitake mushrooms, broccoli, lotus root, potatoes, and burdock. The salad featured lettuce harvested from the facility's plant factory, and I enjoyed a refreshing Lemon Lassi. For dessert, you can choose from gelato, rice flour roll cake, apple pie, custard pudding, and you can also add a drink to your dessert set.
