I visited an interesting shop recommended by a new reviewer "Eating Too Much, Gaining Too Much Weight" in November 2020. This shop has been in business for over 100 years and mainly deals with ingredients for sweets, but they also have a variety of seasonings from Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisines. I didn't have much connection to Sapporo Station Stellar Place, but since I had to use Sapporo Station, I decided to stop by for some inspiration. The "Dashi Pack" that became famous with Chionosha is now available in many places. We also use various brands at home, and it really makes it easy to make dashi. I found a Dashi Pack from Tomizawa Shoten brand for 320 yen. Recently, we don't make rolled sushi at home anymore. I don't think my family can roll sushi either. Let's cook kanpyo a little spicy and enjoy it as a side dish with sake. It's fun to peek into shops like this.

When it gets hot, the symptoms worsen, it is a designated rare disease by the government. As we enter December, the hospitals and various commercial facilities are further heated, causing discomfort. Unfortunately, there is still no medication that suits me. Likes and comments may be delayed, so thank you for your understanding. [March 2020] "Tommy's (Tomizawa Shoten)" originally started as a dried goods store in 1919. This year marks its 101st anniversary, and it is now a specialty store for professional-selected ingredients and commercial food ingredients. There are about 80 stores from Sapporo, Hokkaido to Naha, Okinawa. They also have many outlets in department stores. Many "Tommy's" have been reviewed on Tabelog. The only store registered under the company name "Tomizawa Shoten" is the "Sapporo Stella Place store" (laughs). I visited with my usual companion after lunch. This store is located on the 4th floor of Sapporo Stella Place, directly connected to JR Sapporo Station in the JR Sapporo Station area of Chuo-ku, Sapporo City. Please check the exact location of the store on Tabelog. I visited around 2 p.m. on a weekday. The store has a wide variety of products, making it a fun place to browse. However, the downside is that I always struggle to decide what to buy (laughs). This time, I bought two items that can be used as alcohol appetizers. ■ Cut Navel Orange Navel orange dried fruit with a slightly restrained sweetness and a beautiful taste. It goes well with wine. 120g Price: 324 yen (tax included) ■ Grilled Horse Mackerel Small horse mackerel delicacy in bite-sized pieces, easy to eat. Goes well with various types of alcohol, such as beer. 100g Price: 324 yen (tax included) Both the "Cut Navel Orange" and "Grilled Horse Mackerel" are easy to eat. They go well as alcohol appetizers. With so many products, it takes time to choose. But the time spent deciding is also enjoyable (laughs). What kind of "ingredients" will I choose next time? Thank you for the delicious meal.

Dried fruits and nuts are something my family eats every day, so we need to regularly stock up on them. However, we can't afford anything too expensive, and we're also concerned about the quality of cheaper options. That's why we love TOMIZ - they always have the same reliable sources for their products. Our go-to items are almonds, walnuts, and apricots. Today, I bought almonds and apricots. I prefer to buy roasted almonds from the US, as I find raw ones too much of a hassle. As for apricots, the price difference between Turkish and American ones is significant, but I opt for the cheaper Turkish ones. The products have a decent shelf life, and since we go through them fairly quickly, that's a relief.

I visited a bakery and confectionery ingredient specialty store because I wanted to buy something. They had various types of flour, ingredients for bread and sweets, and tools for baking. As I looked around the store, I found other items besides bread and confectionery ingredients, and decided to buy a mixed rice seasoning. It's called "Green Chili Pepper Gohan (398 yen, excluding tax)" and all you have to do is mix it with cooked rice. It contains green chili pepper, bamboo shoots, shimeji mushrooms, carrots, enoki mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, stem wakame seaweed, and mizuna greens. The spicy flavor of the green chili pepper is delicious, and I was able to easily make mixed rice. I also bought "Raisins California 500g (620 yen, excluding tax)" which are not coated in oil. These are good for making rum raisins. I used these raisins to make rum raisins and sprinkled them on ice cream, and it was delicious.

I went to Stella Place on the 4th floor to purchase dried fruits and nuts. It was quite crowded, probably because of the year-end season. They have a wide variety of baking ingredients, seasonings, and my favorite dried fruits and nuts. Today, I bought walnuts and almonds, as well as dried apricots. The walnuts are from the USA, and I opted for the bulk purchase option at the register, which was a better deal. The almonds are also from the USA, and I prefer the roasted ones. I chose the dried apricots from Turkey. It's my annual year-end shopping for stocking up on ingredients.

While shopping at Stella Place, I stopped by "Tomizawa Shoten," a store that sells groceries and food items. The bright and clean store interior is a joy to be in, and the staff's service is excellent. I bought some items like small packs of bonito flakes, salmon furikake, and pickled zassai. The bonito flakes come in both large bags and small packs for garnishing dishes like ohitashi. Although I haven't tasted the salmon furikake for my wife's bento, she said it has a natural and delicious flavor unlike those from major brands. I enjoy pickled zassai by rinsing off the excess salt, stir-frying it in sesame oil, seasoning with soy sauce, and serving it as a side dish with alcohol. It's versatile and useful in various dishes like stir-fries and fried rice. While there may be items that can only be found here, I personally feel that the unique atmosphere of this store is irreplaceable. I will definitely stop by again if I'm in the area.

Located on the 4th floor of Stella Place, this place is easy to enter and has an open layout with a TOMIZ sign. They have a wide variety of confectionery ingredients, as well as a great selection of dried fruits and nuts. I visit here regularly to stock up. Today, I bought walnuts, almonds, and apricots. The walnuts are from the USA and come in a generous 500g pack. The almonds are roasted and also from the USA. The dried apricots are from Turkey. It was a bit heavy, but I bought around 2kg in total.

Tommy's offers a wide variety of confectionery ingredients, and today I went to buy apricots that were requested. There are four types available: two from Turkey, one from the USA, and one from Uzbekistan. It seems that dates and apricots thrive well in dry climates, as many are from the Middle East or California. The two types from Turkey are described as having low acidity and being easy to eat. I'm not sure what the difference is between them, but the American apricots are twice the price of the Turkish ones. I wonder if they really taste that different.

I had no idea there was a place like this. They have a wide variety of dried goods, from baking ingredients to tea, dry fruits, and more. They even have different types of flour. It's fun just looking at the selection of black tea, coffee, and dry fruits. I was wondering if they had dates, which are not commonly sold, and they did. I bought two from the USA, and they were delicious - soft, seedless, and easy to eat. They also had apricots, prunes, nuts, but I couldn't buy them all due to the weight. I'll definitely come back to explore the store more and buy my favorites. There seem to be many similar stores in the Kanto region.

There are plenty of ingredients I want lined up, and I often visit this shop when I go to Sapporo. They have a wide variety of raw nuts, dried fruits, seasonings, and powders. I love this kind of shop. On this day, I was looking for "Black Cocoa" so I went to get it. I don't see it often in the countryside, so I had to get it. I have to decide on what I want before going, or else I'll end up wanting everything. I want to go get "Black Cocoa" again.

I visited Tomizawa Shoten for the first time in a while. Tomizawa Shoten is a store located on the 4th floor of Sapporo Stella Place CENTER, selling various ingredients and confectionery materials. I purchased Castiglioni Farfalle Tricolore a few years ago, and when I visited recently, it was no longer being sold. Farfalle is a pasta in the shape of a bow tie, and I liked its cute shape, but I finally used it as the expiration date was approaching. It was priced at 259 yen for 250g on the online shop. The red color comes from tomatoes, and the green color comes from spinach. The cooking time is 10-11 minutes. I intended to use it for soup pasta or salad, but ended up having it as tomato sauce pasta. I bought some items this year including Hokkaido rye (320 yen + tax) which I use for making bread and pizza dough. Rye is not sold at local supermarkets, so I usually buy it in bulk online. The expiration date for the one I bought in May was October, so I didn't have to rush to consume it. I also bought Sakura-flavored agar mousse mix (440 yen + tax) which is only sold around May. It makes about 5 cups of mousse and is perfect for spring, although I ended up making it in the hot summer. I also bought Wasabi beans (140 yen + tax) which are spicy and addictive. They are sold by weight and I would like to buy them again if I find them. Tomizawa Shoten also sells frozen fruits, purees, nuts, dried fruits, seasonings, confectionery and cooking utensils, making it a fun place to explore. I didn't check this time, but they used to sell bread sheets in the refrigerated and frozen section, which are convenient for making folded bread. If I feel like making folded bread, I would like to bring a cooler bag and buy them.

【Takeout】A store that opened on the 4th floor of Stella Place in October last year, selling snacks, bread, and cooking ingredients. They also sell sweets and foreign teas. In Hokkaido, this is the only place in Stella Place. They also have an online store with a great selection of products.
I revisited in April 2015 to buy some snacks! I found dried mandarins at the tasting and sales corner along Stella's corridor, and they were delicious! The refreshing acidity and clean sweetness were concentrated and tasty. The seasoned almonds had the perfect amount of salt and were great with alcohol.
In late July 2013, I revisited (previous owner) and bought snacks for alcohol. The skin-on potato chips were slightly sweet and crispy. The seared sardines were sweet with a sesame soy sauce flavor, delicious and never boring. The purple shikibu was a snack that suited my taste, always satisfying. Roasted pumpkin seeds are rich in various minerals, a natural supplement. Enjoyed with Ebisu beer.
In mid-July 2013, I revisited and bought snacks that I had previously tasted and liked. Dried apricots (from Turkey) had a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, great as a snack or in pastries. Skin-on potato fries were crispy with a hint of salt and a corn potage-like seasoning, perfect with beer.
On June 29, 2013, I revisited and bought a gift for my mother. The store had a fun atmosphere with tasting and sales along the aisle. I was excited to find okra snacks. Okra lightly seasoned with sugar and salt, cooked in a non-oil fryer to make a crispy snack. Initially very crispy, but chewy okra inside. Great for the winter when vegetables are expensive. Rich in dietary fiber, good for those with constipation. The young women who tasted it kept buying it. My mother, who initially made a face, later sent a happy email. The seasoned almonds had the right amount of salt, perfect for beer. Seeds are rich in minerals and good for the body, but be careful not to overeat. Animal biscuits are fun to eat while thinking about which animal they represent. Mokutan, with dropped coffee, was a nostalgic sweet treat. Enjoyed it with a smile.

The day before the opening, I went window shopping at the kitchen store next door, 212K. The neighboring grocery store was also doing a pre-opening event, so I decided to visit it in the city later. It's a type of store common in Sapporo, similar to Ootsuki Shokuhin, where they sell food in bulk. Many people seem to want this kind of store in the city. The window shopping experience was quick, and before I knew it, an hour had passed. They had various items, and I thought it might be worth visiting once just to look around. Most customers were young women buying ingredients to make dishes from Tomizawa's recipes. They also sold butter in kilos and had cooking appliances for sweets, which seemed popular among girls. I bought peanut butter cream, kinako powder cream, and delicious rice. The combination of peanut butter and kinako powder was interesting, but the kinako powder flavor came out in the cream's aftertaste. I wonder if it will taste good on crispy baguette. I will try it later. The delicious rice was said to have a burnt part, but it also had a smoked seasoning, so it might have a smoky scent when cooked. However, I still think naturally burnt rice is safer. It's a bit contradictory to buy it, but overall, it was a satisfying experience.

I always had to use online shopping to buy ingredients for sweets and bread, but now I can find everything I need at this store. I'm so happy! The Nakazawa cream with 45% fat has a short expiration date, so when I ordered online, it would only last for two more days. But now it's all good. I'm not good with cream, but this one tastes delicious. Chiffon cake becomes significantly tastier with it. I also bought dark cherries in a can, L'Isle-aux-Grues maple syrup, dark rum, and more. Maybe I'm getting ready to hibernate for the winter?

It is located on the 4th floor of Stella. There are no photos, but despite the small space, the aisle is wide enough to be relatively comfortable. There is a wide variety of products available, and I was very happy to see that Nakazawa's fresh cream is now available in Sapporo. Also, you can buy fresh yeast in the store for around 158 yen, which is attractive! They have a wide variety of flour as well. Honestly, if you don't have knowledge, the variety can be overwhelming. They also have a wide selection of molds and seasonings, making it a must-visit store for enthusiasts. On weekends, the checkout lines can get quite long, so I recommend going on weekdays if possible. I'm writing a blog like this★ Please check it out if you're interested - http://ameblo.jp/jyumatorodeo/

A food store that has been in business for over 100 years, specializing in sweets that the youngest daughter loves. After a weekend lunch, the daughter made some treats that were crispy and delicious. In a short time, she completed four delicious mochi balls! Amazing! I immediately tried one. The mochi was soft and chewy, and I loved the texture of the black beans. The sweet bean paste was gently sweetened and had a delicious flavor. It was very tasty! Thank you for the meal!

Every year on January 1st, we visit Hokkaido Shrine in the morning!! Both my husband and I got great luck in our omikuji!! Happy New Year~ Now in the afternoon, we went to a store on the 4th floor of Sapporo Stella Place CENTER to pick out lucky bags for kitchenware. My husband noticed a store next door selling nuts by weight! He told me to hold the bag and fill it up as much as possible, so I did just that with the help of the store staff. When we weighed it at home, there was 550g of nuts in the bag, which cost 1000 yen excluding tax. Nuts are expensive, so I'm really happy about it~ We also bought a bag of rice crackers for 369 yen, which was already packed full. I noticed they also sell ingredients for making sweets, so I'd like to take my time to explore the store next time.

I heard that a specialty food store called Tomizawa Shoten opened at Stella Place in December 2015. A friend sent me a bag of mixed nuts from there. It came in 7 small packets, perfect for me as I sometimes get a little hungry throughout the day. I would leave it on the table and my husband would snack on it when he got hungry at night. The walnuts, almonds, and cashews were roasted without using salt or oil, so they didn't leave a salty taste in the mouth. I love looking at food ingredients, so I would love to wander around the store.
