かしわそば
Located on the Otaru Iron Line Street in Kushiro City. During lunchtime from 11:00 to 13:00, there was a 20% discount. I visited around 15:50 that day and was lucky to find a half-price sale. The M size pizza (about 25cm) that was originally 1600 yen was now 800 yen! I chose the "Blessings of the Mediterranean" with shrimp, squid, tuna, tomato, parsley, and black olives. The afternoon business hours were from 14:00 to 16:00, so I just made it in time, which was also lucky. The restaurant seemed a bit lackluster from the outside for a pizza place, and the operating hours were from 11:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 16:00. It turned out to be a takeout-only store. It operates as a Type A business establishment for continued employment support, which is different from other stores. It was my first visit. After contemplating between Margherita, Chef's Choice, and 5 Cheese options, I ended up choosing the Blessings of the Mediterranean. It was quite salty, but the crust was good and went well with beer. The squid and shrimp were tasty, not dry or mixed with low-quality ingredients. While it may not compare to freshly made stone oven pizza from a restaurant, it was satisfying enough. Side menu options included chicken wings, basil chicken, and french fries, among others. They also had kid-friendly options like teriyaki chicken and potato pizza or creamy mayo corn pizza. With 7 pizza varieties, I felt it was sufficient. Some places add accents to the crust, but this one had a simple and clean taste. Despite the limited operating hours, I would consider getting takeout again if the timing aligns. While it may not always be feasible to satisfy late-night pizza cravings, Kushiro is a car-centric city, making takeout a convenient option.
