ミドルオザキ
I visited a restaurant for the first time to use up my expiring points. The lunch was a bit pricey, and it seemed difficult to get a private room on weekends and holidays without a reservation. However, if you're okay with sitting at the counter, you may be able to get a spot without a reservation. On this day, three groups were seated before me. I opted for the "tai (sea bream) course," which included a hot chawanmushi, 5 slices of sashimi, grilled fish, oyster and lotus root tempura, the famous tai meshi (sea bream rice), soup, and dessert (roasted green tea soy milk pudding) - a total of 7 items. Everything was delicious, with no complaints about the taste. However, the downside was the tai meshi served in a small pot. I had expected a larger portion, but it was only enough for about 1.5 bowls per person. My wife only had one bowl, so I barely managed to have a second one. The second bowl was a bit smaller than expected. The second bowl is typically eaten as ochazuke (rice with tea poured over it), which was delicious. It reminded me of my 8 years working in Kansai. If there were more tai meshi, I would have rated it 0.4 points higher. The dessert, a cute bear-shaped ice cream sandwich with three flavors (chestnut, roasted green tea, hazelnut), was only 20 yen more, which would have boosted my rating by 0.4 points, making it 4.7 points. This time, I paid about 1,500 yen per person using the limited-time points, which was satisfactory. However, at 2,180 yen, it may be considered expensive. The cost is justified by the high-quality tai used, but I tend to prioritize cost performance, hence the critical evaluation.
