Located in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido, the place is Tanukikoji Shopping Street. It seems they are closed on Sundays, so the only option is to go on a Saturday when off work. Parked my bike in front of the shop and entered. Ordered the Aojiso Ramen (Miso) for ¥800, a menu item I had never seen before. There were options of miso, salt, and shoyu, and when I asked for a recommendation, the wife said, "We don't have a recommendation, so choose your favorite flavor." I went with miso. The owner then said, "I don't like it when customers ask for recommendations, try it, and then leave with a disappointed face. So, we don't have recommendations." Maybe they had a bad experience in the past. Anyway, the main dish arrived, a bowl filled with chashu, menma, moyashi, and other toppings in the miso ramen. The soup was not very Aojiso-flavored, as the miso flavor was dominant. The soup was hot and tasty, slightly oily but not overwhelming, and the noodles were delicious. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. I love miso ramen. I will try the salt ramen next time. Thank you for the meal. Tanukikoji 7-chome, 7-3, Minami 3-jo Nishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido.
