Wandering new curry mania/fresh ramen mania, a solo middle-aged man. This is a memo-like review from the middle-aged man. If you are looking for concise information about the restaurant and dishes, please move on to other reviews around here. I tried the "Chicken White Broth" (soy sauce) at another restaurant and thought, "Oh, it has a smooth and gentle taste, delicious!" "Hmm, the lemon flavor adds an interesting twist!" However, I felt that the portion was a bit small and therefore thought, "It might be a bit pricey." They recommended the set with rice and two pieces of fried chicken. I wanted to see how it compares to other restaurants with the same type of chicken white broth, so I visited another place. The location is in Kita-ku, Shin-Kotoni Hachijo 8-chome. Although I live in a similar area, "Shin-Kotoni" is unfamiliar and not well-known to me. It's quite far away, not a distance where you can walk back and forth or just go shopping. So, I have no knowledge of the area. A while ago, I overheard a conversation between colleagues who had lived in Shin-Kotoni, and they were excitedly discussing, "Oh, that place! It's on ● Street, right?" "Do you know ■■?" "Yes, I know, it's on ▲ Street, right?" It seemed like a quiz on how accurately they could guess the street names rather than confirming the location of the restaurant. It was a humorous conversation that could easily lead to misunderstandings that people from that area or who have lived there have such a trait (laughs). With that introduction, I cannot guide you to the ◆ Street (laughs). Officially, the restaurant faces West 5-chome, Tarukawa Street. It is located 150 meters from the intersection with Shin-Kotoni Street. It was in the block next to the pachinko parlor. I entered the restaurant around 12:45 (Saturday). Inside, there was a ticket machine and kitchen in front of the entrance. There were counter seats in front of the kitchen. Behind the counter seats, there were two table seats. Outside the entrance, there were railings for lining up and inside, there were waiting seats. It seems to be a popular restaurant. The previous customers were two families (middle-aged) and two solo customers (men), one young and one middle-aged. The later customers were one solo customer (senior man) and one young couple. A variety of customers. I looked at the ticket machine. Oh, they offer both "salt" and "soy sauce" for the "Chicken White Broth." Somehow, this seems more natural (obvious) to me. I would prefer "salt," but I decided to go with "soy sauce" to match the previous restaurant. I ordered the Chicken White Broth (soy sauce) for 980 yen including tax. Hmm, it seems that ramen these days costs around 1,000 yen. I tasted the Chicken White Broth (soy sauce) soup. Oh, the color of this one is relatively dark (soy sauce). It's rich and smooth, with a punch of saltiness! The saltiness is just right and delicious. Oh, it's chicken white broth, right? So it's only chicken, right? There's a slight hint of a gamey smell... Am I being too picky? The noodles were medium-thin, slightly wavy, almost straight. They have a bit of a firm bite compared to the "short noodles" that have become more common in recent years. Still, the overall amount of noodles is not large (in my personal opinion). If you think you won't be full, you can add a large serving for an additional 100 yen. The texture was slightly firm. When I ate it, I noticed a slight ammonia-like smell when slurping. It's not throughout the noodles, but here and there.
