I got a milk castella to go. It's from that famous chef Tsujiguchi's castella shop. They opened a castella shop in Hokkaido because when you think of eggs and milk, you think of Hokkaido. There were counter seats and tables outside the shop where you could sit and enjoy your drink. You purchase a ticket from the vending machine and bring it to the counter. The coffee milk was 320 yen and it was incredibly delicious! It was creamy and smooth, with a rich flavor that was more pronounced than regular coffee milk. The cafe au lait was delicious as expected! The fresh milk from Wan Two Farm in Akankacho, Kushiro City, Hokkaido, blended perfectly with the cafe's aroma, creating a very pleasant harmony. The castella was outstanding. Quoting from the website, "When searching for the best ingredients for castella, we realized that everything could be found in Hokkaido." This castella was made using only locally sourced ingredients, moist and fluffy with the rich flavor of eggs and the natural sweetness of milk. It's no wonder it's become a famous shop!
