Located near West Line South 7th Street, a bit away from Susukino, I drove here for lunch after drinking as walking this far after drinking would be tough. There are around 4 parking spaces next to the restaurant, and there seem to be more elsewhere, so please check that out yourself.
Inside the restaurant, there is an L-shaped counter surrounding the kitchen, with counter seats facing it. Looking at the large menu in front of me, I decided to stay faithful to the basics and ordered the "Shoyu Ramen (820 yen, tax included)" since it was my first time here. During weekday lunch hours, they offer a small rice service, so I requested a half portion of rice.
The ramen arrived shortly... Oh, it's "ramen" huh. As I got closer, the smell of garlic became stronger, leaving quite an impact. The ramen was served with a layer of oil floating on top, a rich and creamy type. The round chashu and large seaweed caught my eye. After quickly taking photos for Tabelog and Instagram, I finally started eating.
Slurping up the lifted noodles as they are, they had a moderate thickness, providing a firm texture. The chewy texture was quite profound and it blended well with the soup. The soup had a strong garlic scent, and despite the oily appearance with the back fat floating, the taste was surprisingly light and easy to eat, thanks to the garlic. When I mixed in the rice, it was a soup that you just know is going to be delicious.
The chashu was soft and melted in my mouth, with no unpleasant smell. The half portion of rice as a service was surprisingly excellent, and I was pleasantly surprised. I ate about half of it as it is and poured the rest into the soup, which was irresistible. Looking forward to trying the Yukkejan ramen and Mapo noodles in the future, and they also have fried rice too. It's one of the joys of lunch, I will definitely come back! Thank you for the meal!
