Located 2 minutes walk from Nango 13-chome Station. Visited the second branch of a shop from Nakanojima. I used to visit Nakanojima often since it's nearby. Although this place is a bit further from my home, I invited some friends from the neighborhood to visit. I took photos on two different occasions. Everything I ate was delicious! The owner is from Sakura. It seems like the manager from Nakanojima is in charge here. As someone who often goes out with kids, I was thrilled to find out that children's drinks are free here. They also provide kids' plates and chairs. A very family-friendly restaurant!

There is a lively izakaya in Nango 13-chome, relatively new but with a vibrant atmosphere and high-quality staff service. I sat at the counter furthest back and felt right at home in this cozy place. I had a highball drink and a small sashimi platter, which was delicious. The grilled mackerel, herring, yellowtail, and sea bream were all fresh and tasty. The ginger-wrapped pork tempura was a bit heavy on the batter, but the potato tower was tasty and visually appealing. The texture and flavor were great, never getting boring. I had a few highballs and learned that the manager here trained at a famous chain restaurant known for its staff development. It seems like they excel in training their employees, as seafood izakayas from this place are popping up more often. It's always a pleasure to enjoy delicious food. It would be nice if they had a drinking party spot here. See you again.

Nango Izakaya 🍶✨ I went drinking at Nango 13-chome! My drinking buddy invited me saying, "This place is delicious, let's go!" It was my first time drinking at Nango 13-chome! The food at this place was so tasty! The owner is from the sea of Sakura, so you can trust the cooking! The food was all delicious! The appetizer was a sashimi platter. They explained the vegetables of the day, showing us the actual vegetables and where they were used in the dishes. They memorized so many types of vegetables, it was impressive! The dish that stood out was the "Grilled White Eggplant with Miso." The eggplant was so tender and flavorful! It was not a regular menu item, but a recommendation, so it may not always be available. It was a hit! We also tried the rare horse mackerel fry, which was truly rare! Their dishes showed great creativity, and I definitely want to visit again! They didn't have a drink all-you-can-drink option, but they had a variety of sour drinks that caught my eye! It was delicious! Those in Nakanojima should definitely check it out too! Thank you for the meal! 💕

In July 2023, I revisited the subway station 1 exit in Nango 13-chome and fell in love with it. I tried the high-quality beer from the sea sakura brewery, classic size, for 540 yen, which tasted amazing on a hot summer day of 30 degrees Celsius. The assorted sashimi appetizer for 450 yen was fresh and delicious, including herring, octopus, salmon, and yellowtail. I went with some drinking buddies and we enjoyed various dishes, such as the potato fries for 580 yen, which had four different types of potatoes with unique flavors and textures. The broccoli tempura for 540 yen was simple yet tasty, made from freshly harvested broccoli by the owner. The pickled mackerel for 720 yen had a refreshing acidity with plenty of green onion and myoga. The homemade cheese-stuffed meatballs for 360 yen had a satisfying texture and a flavorful grated radish sauce. The corn and bacon kamameshi for 1280 yen was cooked for 40 minutes and had a sweet and juicy corn, thick-cut bacon strips, and a delicious buttery flavor. Overall, I wished they had all-you-can-drink options as the food was so good that it made me want to drink more. It was a delightful dining experience.

Get off at Nango 13-chome in the middle of June 2023 (´ω`). New open in May 2023 ☆ A popular izakaya with delicious snacks and carefully selected sake. On a weekday, just after 6:30 PM, the place was almost full even though it had just opened! It's a cozy and bright space with a refreshing cleanliness. A classic medium-sized beer is 540 yen. They have a wide variety of rare sake from all over the country, but it seems like there is no all-you-can-drink option. The appetizer is 450 yen and comes with small dishes and sashimi (herring, yellowtail, red sea bream, scallop). This is a great start. The recommended dishes are mainly based on what they have in stock. The rare horse mackerel fry is 680 yen. The thinly fried horse mackerel with good oil drainage is more like raw than rare! It's fresh with no fishy smell at all, super delicious with wasabi or kabosu. The salt butter-grilled fresh shiitake mushrooms are 540 yen. The owner passionately talks about the carefully selected shiitake mushrooms from Kishu Mashu in Wakayama. They are packed with a strong umami flavor and rich taste, the more you chew, the better it gets ( ゚Д゚)ウマー. For a refill, try the matcha highball for 540 yen. It uses deeply steamed matcha from Murachaen in Shizuoka, with a deep color and flavor. I want to come back here again! When you want to eat something delicious, make a stop here. Thank you for the meal (^ω^).

I went to check out this new restaurant that opened recently. The food was delicious and the place was clean, but it was too bright and felt more like an office than a cozy restaurant. There seemed to be a difference in portion sizes for dishes with different prices, so I'm still figuring out what to order. Maybe once I get used to it, I could come here for a solo drink. The seating arrangement wasn't great this time, so I'd like to try a different spot next time. I'll give it another try for sure.
