[2022, Hokkaido Series 10] Well, on the last night in Sapporo, after having dinner with relatives, as usual, my cousin and I headed to an izakaya, and then ended up at a ramen shop for a final bowl of ramen... like young people do. (laughs) The ramen shop we went to was, of course, "Shoyuya Honten". You can't talk about Shoyuya Honten without trying their ramen. (I'm talking a lot about it though...) I ordered the "Kodove Ramen (700 yen including tax) + Large Size (+110 yen)" which arrived looking divine. (I ate a lot and got the large size!) Oh, as always, the visual presentation is beautiful! The hot bowl and soup are always a delight. And the taste? Yeah, it's delicious as always. It has a deep richness and sweetness with a clear and refreshing taste that is unmatched. The firm, medium-thin curly noodles are just perfect. The tender chashu, subtly soy-flavored boiled egg, menma, naruto, and wheat gluten toppings are all delicious. Oh, if Kodove-chan were a girl, you'd fall in love with her. This time, I was able to take a long break, so I had fun visiting various places, including the zoo. I want to thank my cousin and her child for accompanying me, even if it was a bit of a stretch. My parents worry about their daughter's whims, but she is truly a pure and kind child. She'll be a high school student next year, so we probably won't go out together anymore, but I'll definitely have ramen with my parents again. I'm completely satisfied with the delicious and beloved Kodove Ramen in Sapporo. I'll be heading back before the Bon Festival, but I'm sure my ramen-loving relatives, parents, and ancestors in heaven are saying, "Kodove-chan looks delicious, doesn't she?" Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant gave me the impression of an elementary school from the early Showa period. The cups for water and the kettle were made of aluminum, and the ramen bowls had a nostalgic design. I chose the original Kotobukiramen, which had toppings like spinach, wheat gluten, and fish cake that reminded me of the ramen from a cafeteria in the past. It also had the classic toppings of bamboo shoots, seasoned egg, and chashu, all with delicious flavors.

The interior of the shop and the soup are both quite unique. It's located in a very ordinary shopping mall, but it somehow stands out. The nostalgic taste of the Chinese noodles is quite strong in flavor, typical of Hokkaido. The combination of the noodles and soup is good and delicious, but it may not be everyone's favorite type of ramen.

I have never been to the main store in Kurisawa-cho, but whenever I pass by, it always seems crowded and popular! I have been to Oton Shokudo in Eniwa, and I was surprised to find miso flavor there! Kodzura Ramen brings a sense of nostalgia with its soup flavor, noodles, and everything. I love the second generation with fried onions in it! This time, I tried the second generation with extra roast pork and pork belly in it. My companion had the cold ramen, which they said was delicious. Next time, I want to try the Manji Ramen with its pitch-black soup. Thank you for the meal!

Delicious, here. Let's start with the second bowl. The onion chips really stand out. The soy sauce flavor is rich and the sweetness of the onions adds a nice touch. The chashu is tender and there's both belly and loin cuts. Mmm, so tasty. I couldn't help but have another bowl. The second bowl is a manji style. The soup is slightly darkened. Could that be the burnt aroma of garlic? Hmm, I like this one too. The noodles are thinner than before. A simple ramen with various thoughtful touches. (^_^)

I stopped by for the first time after donating blood. It's a ramen shop that reminds me of the Showa era, with an interior that resembles a Showa-era elementary school. I ordered the original Kobato Ramen. Kind and efficient mothers are working here. Soon, the ramen arrived. It says the basic flavor is only soy sauce. It seems to be a taste loved by regulars. The soup and noodles were very delicious. Among them, I particularly liked the chashu. The soft-boiled egg with a runny yolk was also delicious. Since this is my diary-like entry, the ratings and comments may not be reliable.

When I searched for ramen in a region I rarely visit, I found a place called "Kodove Ramen" that serves chicken broth soup, which I don't usually eat. I ordered the original soy sauce flavor with curly noodles. The noodles were a bit softer than I remembered, maybe they were overcooked. They served enough for three people, and it took a bit of time for the ramen to be served. The broth looked light but had a thick layer of oil. It was served piping hot, but the soft curly noodles didn't quite match with it. The seasoned egg was delicious with a half-cooked yolk, and the chashu was melt-in-your-mouth tender. There were many families with kids dining there, and the menu had some interesting options. Overall, it's a good ramen shop for families.

This ramen shop is very nostalgic for those in their late 40s. It's like a retro ramen shop, with a slightly sweet soy sauce flavor in the chicken broth. It reminds me of the ramen I used to eat as a child. The set meals are good, but today I decided to try the chashu ramen. The chashu here is so delicious and melts in your mouth.

Ordered the Stamina Set (910 yen) and added a boiled egg (+110 yen) for a total of 1,020 yen. This place is known for its traditional soy sauce ramen, more like a Chinese soba style. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of soy sauce ramen, but this one was pretty good. The Stamina Set, which is only available during lunch, comes with a Chashu rice bowl that didn't have any special features, just some toppings. Overall, it's worth a try if you're in the area. Thank you for the meal.

At the Soy Sauce Shop Main Store, I tried the Manji Ramen (Sapporo, Hokkaido). The rich soy sauce flavor that a hardworking man once savored can be felt. One day, I decided to have lunch in New Sapporo. Since I was not familiar with the area, I consulted Tabelog for recommendations. I ended up going to a rare and delicious soy sauce ramen shop in Sapporo. This shop originated from a diner near the Manji coal mine in Iwamizawa City. I ordered the Manji Ramen, which is the strongest soy sauce flavor among the three types of soy sauce ramen they offer. The soup, which is said to resemble coal, was a distinctive dark red color. Although it wasn't completely black, you could immediately tell how rich the flavor would be. The retro-style toppings added to the charm of the dish. It had been a while since I had fish cake in my ramen. I prepared myself for a strong saltiness as I took a sip of the soup. Surprisingly, it was lighter than expected, with a good depth of flavor and a nice blend with the yellow curly noodles typical of Hokkaido. This ramen seemed like a dish that would have comforted and filled the hearts and stomachs of men who worked desperately in the Manji coal mine around the Showa era. The depth of the soup seemed to increase even more when viewed from that perspective. Thank you for the meal. #SoySauceShopSanpiazaBranch #Ramen #ChineseNoodles #FoodieHaiku #FoodieClub #WantToConnectWithGourmetLovers #Noodlestagram #ramen #Sapporo #NewSapporo #TonkotsuShoTaro

Stamina set ¥910, boiled egg ¥110, ¥1,020 in total. This is also delicious. The boiled egg has a creamy texture, but it doesn't have a distinctive flavor, so it may not be worth adding as a topping. The stamina don is also tasty. The rice goes well with the bean sprouts seasoned with sesame oil and spicy green onions. If the fried rice set is sold out, this is also good, or even the pork bowl set is good.

The retro Showa era atmosphere in the interior decoration and menu is full of charm. I ordered the original Ko-dove ramen. The thin noodles are soaked in a light soy sauce flavor that is incredibly delicious. Despite being quite filling, it seems like I could easily slurp up all the broth. I definitely want to try the other flavors as well.

5/2023 ★Koibato Ramen 750 yen Sanpiazza B3, a nostalgic soy sauce ramen shop with a Showa-era vibe. It's one of my favorite places, and it's usually not too crowded at night. However, on this day, it was almost full, with only a few seats available at the raised table areas. The prices have gone up slightly overall, but it's still much cheaper than other places. Today, I had the "Koibato" ramen, which has been a traditional favorite since it was founded in 1955. The clear soup has a comforting and gentle flavor that I never get tired of. The classic toppings of boiled egg, char siu, fu (wheat gluten), spinach, and naruto fish cake make it a winning combination. I also found that adding a sprinkle of pepper midway through the meal really enhances the taste. Overall, it was a delicious meal that brought back fond memories.

Staying in New Sapporo! Arrived in the evening after moving, happy to stay at a hotel near the station because there are various shops nearby. However, when I arrived at the shopping center DUO at around 8:00 PM, most of the shops were already closing. Disappointed, I decided to head to Sun Plaza, a fairly large shopping center with an Aeon store. One thing to note is that the dining options are located underground, and you need to choose the right elevator to go there (as there are elevators that do not go to the dining floor). When I went down to the dining area, I found out that most places had last orders at 8:30 PM and closed at 9:00 PM, which seemed early to me (in Kansai, restaurants operate on different hours). As a result, my dining options were limited. In this flow, I ended up at this ramen shop. This shop was established in the Showa era in 1955, born in the Banzai Coal Mine in Kurisawa, Hokkaido, offering traditional soy sauce ramen. The noodles are custom-made, with a focus on firmness. Although there seemed to be various options, the base was soy sauce ramen, with different toppings. I decided to go for the Chashu Bowl Set for 1070 yen, which came with seasoned pork belly chashu, three slices of chashu, seasoned bean sprouts, spicy green onions, and spinach. The plate that arrived had an aluminum cup and tray that reminded me of the wartime era, giving off a nostalgic feeling. The atmosphere inside the shop was designed to resemble a school from the past, with menus inspired by school lunches. It felt like going back to the early Showa era. The taste was quite light and delicious. It had a nostalgic flavor to it. The chashu in the chashu bowl was tender and very tasty, and the curly noodles and soy sauce soup matched well, making it very delicious. The key to enjoying the boiled egg is to eat it between bites of meat and rice. The well-seasoned taste was very satisfying. Although I arrived right before closing time, they allowed me to finish my meal comfortably. It was a short visit, but I felt quite satisfied with the meal. I would love to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

Upon arrival, the rating was 3.59 (May 2023, 308 reviews). This restaurant, which landed in Hokkaido, is the first meal. Located inside Sunpiazza directly connected to Shin-Sapporo Station. We arrived around 1 pm and the restaurant was about 50% full on a weekday, so we were seated quickly. The atmosphere reminded me of the school lunchroom from my mother's generation, with about 6 staff members handling the kitchen and hall. Opening the menu, which looked like an attendance slip, revealed a wide variety of dishes, all with great value for money. I was intrigued by the name "2nd Year School Lunch" and ordered it with a change to the Manji Ramen. Within about 5 minutes, the "2nd Year School Lunch" (910 yen) was brought to me, consisting of ramen, namul, and curry. After enjoying the refreshing namul, I moved on to the ramen. The Manji Ramen had a black soup, inspired by charcoal, with a strong garlic flavor that complemented the slightly rich soy sauce-based broth. The thin, slightly chewy Chinese noodles paired well with the soup. The simple toppings included large, thick slices of chashu, spinach, menma, green onions, and naruto, with the addition of unusual fu. The noodles absorbed the soup well and were delicious. The curry rice, being for a 2nd grader, was mild and had a nostalgic taste that went well with the rice. The portion size and quality for 910 yen were incredibly satisfying. Self-service water was available from a kettle on the table, with ice-cold water, adding to the nostalgic Showa-era feel of the place. The interior and decor evoke a sense of visiting a grandmother's house, creating a calming atmosphere. Easily accessible from the station, this ramen shop offers a taste of a time gone by, making it a must-visit among Hokkaido's many delicious specialties.

I was craving soy sauce ramen, so I went to the Shoyu-ya Honten Sanpiazza branch. I intended to only have soy sauce ramen, but I was intrigued by the unique menu and ended up ordering the Junior High School Student Set. The soy sauce ramen was simple and delicious. The nori bento box had a nice atmosphere. The time spent in the restaurant was very pleasant. Even pouring water from a kettle into an aluminum cup felt nostalgic and nice. I would love to come back again!

The interior of the shop exudes a Showa era vibe, which is very cute and fun. Visitors who were on a trip were delighted, taking photos and saying "It's nostalgic!" The atmosphere is perfect for nostalgic conversations. The small pigeon ramen costs 750 yen. Despite the low price, it was of high quality, piping hot, and delicious.

I faithfully recreated the traditional ramen from the old days, and it was surprisingly delicious! The atmosphere feels a bit forced in its Showa era setting, but as someone from that generation, I enjoyed it. I would like to visit the main store in Kurisawa as well. Wonderful Showa era ramen!

It's been a while since I visited. There was a meeting in person after a long time, so I came to my favorite place. I happened to have some free time because my daughter was off, so we came together. I had the second-grade school lunch, while my daughter had the middle school lunch. I upgraded to the Manji Ramen with an additional charge. I love Manji Ramen! The ramen was served relatively quickly. There was no steam, but the oil film on top was intense! It was so good though. I ate it while blowing on it. This is what I wanted to eat. It was delicious. The curry also tasted nostalgic, like Bon Curry. My daughter had the Kotori Ramen, but she said she should have gotten the Manji Ramen instead. Kotori Ramen is lighter, right? Thank you for the meal!

This is a ramen restaurant located in the commercial facility Sanpiazza directly connected to the Subway Shin-Sapporo Station. You can enjoy simple, traditional soy sauce ramen here, and the retro atmosphere of the restaurant will make you feel like you've traveled back to the Showa era. The light soup made from vegetables, chicken bones, and pork, combined with firm curly noodles, thick slices of char siu, and classic toppings like fried tofu, naruto, and spinach, all come together to create a comforting taste that makes you want to indulge in it occasionally. Thank you for the meal.
