On November 22, 2022, at the fourth stop, I ordered grilled mentaiko (spicy cod roe), horse sashimi, and lightly pickled oysters at a casual horse meat and sake bar. The grilled mentaiko was delicious, although slightly overcooked. Unfortunately, the horse sashimi was not fresh, which was disappointing. The pickled oysters did not suit my taste. I'm sorry, but I don't think I will be returning to this place.

Strolling around the alley with friends (ง ᵕωᵕ)ว♪ I chose the mane from my favorite horse sashimi, and felt like eating bamboo shoots as well, so we entered the restaurant as soon as it opened and there were no other customers, so the service was very quick ι(｀･-･´)/ The mane was smooth and chewy, with a sweet taste (*´༥`*) Delicious! Sapporo Tsunagu Yokocho is a hot spot located under the JR overpass in Sapporo, with about 15 shops gathered together. There are no partitions between the shops, allowing for free movement and creating an exciting atmosphere similar to a food stall village in Osaka. The reviewer visited a sushi restaurant as the first stop, followed by a beef tongue specialty shop for the second stop. The third stop was a bit hazy due to being tipsy, but they vividly captured photos of the dishes. They had a horse tendon curry for their third stop, which was not too spicy but had a strong, rich flavor typical of simmered dishes. The horse tendon had a bit of chewiness, giving it a unique texture. Despite feeling full, they shared and finished the curry with two others. This visit was a rare occasion where they visited a total of four places, including one before arriving at Tsunagu Yokocho and three within the alley. It was a memorable and enjoyable experience in Sapporo.

Day drinking followed by a second round at Sapporo Tsunagu Yokocho. Opened under the JR guard at the end of last year. Climbing the stairs and opening the door to the alley, there is a thorough approach with temperature checks, alcohol disinfection, and even distributing non-woven masks. They seem to be taking a strict stance now due to some unfortunate events at the opening. Settling down on the floor, there was Hailey. Happy. The order was smoked horse meat, half portion, and horse meat yukhoe, all delicious. It's a place where you feel like it's better to come for the first round because you leave satisfied after the second round.

I visited the pre-opening of Sapporo Tsunagu Yokocho and one of the shops there is Umao-san. Four of us went there and started with a sashimi platter with three slices each, including horse mane and... I forgot (oops) because we were four people sharing. Poor Totron (oops). I found horse meat curry on the menu. The rice is sold separately (lol). It has a sweet but spicy flavor and is quite delicious. They also recommended saihoshi...? It's smoked horse meat, which has a smoky and delicious taste. We also tried a secret part, which is horse heart sashimi. It's not commonly found in horse meat dishes and we enjoyed it with ginger soy sauce. We also tried spinal cord, which was a new experience for us. It looked like salmon milt and had a similar texture. Although I don't eat horse meat often, I felt closer to it through these dishes. I even went back the next day before closing because the staff's service was excellent. I will definitely visit again after the grand opening. Looking forward to trying saihoshi again!

I had two drinks (= ´∀´)ﾉ凵゛. For drinks, I recommend the "Highball with Lemon" (= ´∀´)ﾉ凵゛. For food, I had a variety of horse meat dishes: red meat, mane, smoked, belly, and tataki, as well as bacon and horse tendon stew. The horse tendon curry was also delicious, and I even received a retort pouch as a souvenir. I could have eaten it here, but it's okay to take it home.

I will sneak into the pre-opening event for the stakeholders of Satsueki Koji 6-chome "Sapporo Tsunagu Yokocho". There are a total of 15 shops, and I visited the 6th shop, "Umasho Sapporo Store". This place is a horse meat restaurant with a unique concept, offering a variety of dishes from common to rare ones. I started with a beer and tried their dish called "Saihoshi", which is dried horse meat lightly seared in a pan. It had a jerky-like texture with a good saltiness, perfect with beer. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, with energetic staff members. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.
