Every year, towards the end of summer vacation, I visit Kusachi-san, an izakaya on Tanukikoji Street. I often go there for the last meal of the day, so I apologize for ordering so little. However, I can't help but think about the abundant selection of Japanese sake and, above all, the crab dishes like kanidaruma and kanimiso kaganiyaki. No matter how late it gets, I always end up going there. Thank you for taking care of me late at night this year. Looking forward to visiting again next year. Take care, Master!

I visited a reasonably priced izakaya while sightseeing in Sapporo. The atmosphere of the restaurant is calm. The food and sake were very delicious and there was a wide variety to choose from. I tried scallops and crab, which were incredibly tasty and satisfying, unlike anything I've had in the Kanto region!

After visiting Sapporo for the first time in years for work, my evening turned into a late night of leisurely drinking alone. Let's enjoy freely as we please.
Sapporo Classic for 550 yen - A must-have drink in the northern land. The appetizer was simmered dish.
Sashimi assortment for 1,600 yen - Included bluefin tuna, octopus head, trout salmon, botanebi shrimp, and scallop.
Kunimare Yukisabi (Masamoe) for 700 yen - A unique collaboration with a liquor store. A rich and flavorful sake, quite a shock.
Unfortunately, the famous "kanidaruma" was sold out, and there were no shrimp available.
Salt hormone for 600 yen - Had to settle for this after giving up on kanidaruma. It was delicious and piping hot.
Fukushi Junmai (Kushiro) for 700 yen - Made from Hokkaido rice, a well-balanced and refreshing sake.
Although I missed out on the specialties, overall it was a satisfying evening of drinking. Thank you for the meal~

Sapporo City Chuo-ku Minami 3-jo Nishi 4-chome Izakaya Kusachi Megadon・Don Quijote Sapporo Tanuki Koji Honten is near, Hokkaido Tour Day 2. Looks like another long night today... Located on the 7th floor of a drinking establishment building, we made a reservation for 4 people and were happy to find that smoking is allowed. We started with a toast with a highball and ordered the famous crab daruma for 880 yen each. It was incredibly delicious and also very affordable! We also ordered the crab miso shell bake, which was a great accompaniment. The salted sea squirt and leaf wasabi were also delicious. We tried the meat kunsei & cream cheese assortment for the first time and it was really good. Overall, the appetizers were of high quality and this place is a gem. Thank you for the feast, we will definitely come back!

Today's first stop at a bar is Izakaya Kusachi, where we cheers with draft beer and lemon sour. We ordered a variety of dishes including scallops, crab dumplings, crab miso shell grill, boiled potatoes with salted fish roe, asparagus butter grill, and half-size rolled omelette. We also enjoyed a selection of Japanese sake, including Tanjirou, Houhai, Yashima, and Machida Sake Brewery. Despite being in Hokkaido, we indulged in Hokkaido specialties. The crab dumplings are filled with plenty of crab meat, making it a recommended dish. The crab miso shell grill is cooked with solid fuel, and pairs well with sake. The boiled potatoes with butter and salted fish roe, the asparagus butter grill, and the rolled omelette were all delicious. It's a great izakaya for casual drinking and dining.

I already liked smoked cheese and cream cheese, but I love them even more now. I tried boiled potatoes with salted fish roe for the first time and I loved it. I discovered rice wine and I will continue to drink a lot of it. The Toro Taku that the person next to me had also looked delicious.

The first night at Gourmet Down Sapporo started off with a popular restaurant where miraculously a reservation for 2 at 18:00 was available. We enjoyed the specialty dish "Kani Daruma" packed full of crab for 880 yen and the delicious "Kanimiso Kourayaki" for 900 yen. We also had a sashimi platter, hokke, and zangi while sipping on Sapporo Classic beer to relax. The hokke was especially sweet and incredibly tasty. It was a wonderful time and the food was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

This was my first time using the service, and I made a reservation the day before to take my guest to this restaurant in Tokyo. On the day we went, there were empty seats at the counter, possibly because of the live broadcast of the WBC quarter-finals. We ordered a classic toast with crab daruma for the number of people in our group, and it came out quickly! The crab meat was plentiful! It was so delicious that it made me want to drink sake. The cost performance is great! We also ordered Hokkaido sake to go with our meal, and it was a perfect match! In addition, we ordered skewers, grilled squid with three-miso sauce, grilled shishamo, and crab miso shell bake. Everything was a hit! Furthermore, the owner and the staff were very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Although it was my first visit, I feel like I will definitely come back again. Next time, I want to sit at the counter and enjoy some drinks. This restaurant is the best for accommodating around 4 people and is located near Susukino. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I used this restaurant for dinner during a business trip. The restaurant is located on the 7th floor of a building that looks like it has a snack bar. It has a cozy atmosphere loved by locals. We were guided to a raised seating area, but because the restaurant was bustling, it was hard to get the attention of the staff. When we were in trouble, a businessman sitting next to us called the staff for us, and we were able to place our order smoothly! Just that made me think "Hokkaido is a nice place!" The top 3 dishes that I personally found delicious were Zangi (fried chicken), Kanidaruma (crab croquettes), and Kanimiso koukayaki (grilled crab miso in the shell). They have a wide variety of sake, so it's perfect for sipping while enjoying the food. The chef seemed like a really nice person, so if I had sat at the counter, I could have probably asked for sake that goes well with the dishes.

Once upon a time, I visited this place. I was reminded of this restaurant by a review from MyRebi-sama. Let's go try it out ^ ^ It's been a while. When the elevator doors opened, there was already the restaurant. I snuck in without a reservation. If you arrive before 6:30, there's no need for a reservation. It's so popular~ The counter is nice♪ I ordered the following: Sapporo Classic (medium) for 550 yen, Kanidaruma for 880 yen, Mantachi Ponzu for 1000 yen, Otokoyama North Inaho for 550 yen. I was aiming for the Kanidaruma. Let's start with a beer. I used to prefer shrimp over crab, but the crab here is different. Just the Kanidaruma alone can go with 2 beers. The crab legs sit on top of the broth and peeled shrimp, a simple crab dish but with a strong broth flavor. Vinegar and mayonnaise are served on the side, but even without them, it's a satisfying dish. It's a waste to pair it with beer. I need to order some sake quickly. Next, let's have the Mantachi Ponzu. It's the most stylish Mantachi I've ever had. And the biggest one too. High-quality ingredients indeed~ The appetizer was probably scallop tendons and cucumber with sesame oil dressing. The individual set was from 4 years ago, it's no longer available. I had some top-notch seafood. It was delicious~ The master? was very attentive as I was leaving, making it a very cozy place. A great place for a solo drink and delicious food. Thank you for the meal (╹◡╹)

Kani Daruma (880 yen) is a recommended dish at this restaurant, where crab meat is neatly arranged on the shell. It's great that you can enjoy crab at a reasonable price of 880 yen. Although it may be a bit hard to find on the 7th floor of a mixed building, once you step inside, the cozy atmosphere will make you want to stay longer. In addition, the crab miso shell bake (900 yen) is also recommended. Each person can only order one dish, so these dishes are a must-try. This restaurant offers a variety of seafood dishes, making it perfect for tourists. Thank you for the meal.

I will meet a friend from Yamanashi and slowly talk and drink. Delicious snacks and sake. They asked if I wanted to sit at the counter or at a table, but of course I will sit at the counter. When I come here, I always have to have this ♡ specialty, crab dumplings ♡ ♡ Anything else is fine. If I say that, will I get scolded? lol The omelette is beautiful. I really wanted to try the sea bream, but today I will go with what my friend wants. I'll have shishamo with grated mountain yam. I had a pleasant time chatting with the chef.

Ten years ago, during a business trip to Sapporo, I randomly stumbled upon this restaurant. Looking back now, I can't believe I found my way to such a hidden place, but it left a lasting impression on me. I revisited the restaurant after 10 years, and the famous crab daruma and crab miso in the shell were just as delicious as I remembered. Of course, I ordered them again. We also indulged in dishes like grilled salmon with butter and salted cod roe, and zangi (deep-fried chicken). The crab daruma was so good that it overshadowed everything else, to be honest. The bill came to around 14,000 yen for three people, which I found to be quite reasonable. I definitely want to visit this wonderful restaurant again on my next trip to Sapporo.

Sapporo Night, the perfect way to end the evening is at a cozy izakaya located near Tanukikoji. As soon as you step out of the elevator, you are greeted by a noren curtain leading directly into the restaurant. They offer a wide variety of local sake, and just looking at the menu dedicated to sake lovers is exciting. To start off, I ordered the Hokkaido's Kitaya Houou, known for its sharp and spicy flavor, from the easternmost brewery in Japan. I also spotted some uneaten sea urchin on the recommended specials board. I couldn't resist ordering the crab daruma and crab miso shell grilled set. The crab daruma has a great refill system where you can get another serving for half the price. The dashimaki tamago omelette was also delicious and had a generous portion even in the half size. The staff, including the owner Mr. Kusachi, were very friendly, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The grilled hormone dish next to me looked tempting, and I also had a craving for the ankake yakisoba, but unfortunately, I was too full. Tonight, I truly enjoyed delicious food, good company, and the drinks. This is a wonderful place that I would want to secretly share with my loved ones.

When I used to go bar hopping in Susukino, this place was my absolute favorite and a real sanctuary for me. Today, when a night out with friends turned into an unexpected solo drinking session, I thought, "Let's go to Kusachi." It's been a while since I last visited. When the elevator opened on the 7th floor, I was greeted with a warm "Welcome back" from the owner, Kegani-chan (pseudonym), and it really touched my heart. I felt so happy. I started with a beer, the usual clean foam... They really keep their beer server clean. I ordered the crab daruma and sashimi platter, which are the classics here. The quality can vary depending on the ingredients, and today's were just okay. The sashimi was also decent. In other words, it was okay, but not outstanding. I ordered some pork skewers, yakitori, and bacon-wrapped mochi as well. The salt sprinkled on them was a bit strong, making them salty, but I still enjoyed them. For drinks, I had Kunimare Yukisabi, Takonishiki, and Hokkaido's Kusachi. This place is my go-to, where Kegani-chan always welcomes me warmly. I'll definitely be back again.

I am staying in Sapporo to start a new business. Today, after visiting the city hall and various offices, I finished in the evening and decided to study at this restaurant. I was lucky to find a seat at the counter and ordered a draft beer. For food, I tried the famous "Kani Daruma" and also the "Botan Ebi". As I was enjoying the complimentary okara, the Kani Daruma arrived! It was a dish with crab meat already removed from the shell, very convenient and delicious! They even offer a half portion for a great deal. The Botan Ebi was also incredibly tasty! This restaurant not only offers dishes made with local ingredients, but also has innovative dishes that suit the times. I was impressed by the extensive menu for solo diners. Overall, it was a great learning experience!

Kusachi Izakaya, located in Minami 3-jo Nishi 4-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, is a popular local spot about a 10-minute walk from Odori Park. It's a bit hard to find as it's inside a drinking establishment building. The restaurant is known for its crab dishes, but unfortunately, the famous crab daruma was sold out when I visited. Despite this disappointment, I enjoyed scallop sashimi, real shishamo, and buttered salted potatoes. The staff kindly brought out a small portion of the crab daruma for me, which I appreciated. I had a great meal and look forward to trying more dishes at Kusachi in the future. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Near Tanuki Koji Street, there is a shop in a mixed-use building. The small shop is always packed with customers! Reservations are a must. The specialty of this shop is "crab". When it comes to crab, peeling the shell can be a hassle, so it's rare to go with friends. However, the specialties here, "kani daruma" and "kabuto-yaki", are served with the shell already removed, making it easy to eat and delicious! And, it's cheap!! With this and some sake, it's an endless loop of enjoyment!

Monday night dinner. It was raining, so I decided to go near the Tanukikoji Arcade. I headed to the 7th floor of the building at South 3 West 4. When I arrived around 8:30 pm, there was only one other customer. I sat at the counter and ordered a Sapporo Classic (medium) for 500 yen. I looked at the wooden menu and ordered a half plate of marinated octopus heads (380 yen), a half plate of bluefin tuna (500 yen), 3 baby shishamo (660 yen), and dashimaki tamago (550 yen). The atmosphere was pleasant with two men around 60 years old working in the kitchen and a female server. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The appetizer arrived, marinated octopus heads with a hint of vinegar and salt. It was delicious. The sashimi came next, with the octopus head having a nice texture and the bluefin tuna melting in my mouth. Both were very tasty. I then switched to sake and ordered Hokkai no Katsu Houou (520 yen), a smooth sake that paired well with the food. The baby shishamo arrived, small but flavorful. The dashimaki tamago was unique with a white center made of egg whites, slightly sweet and delicious. I also tried the sake called Otoko Yama Kita no Inaho (520 yen), which had a rich flavor but a nice finish. Lastly, I ordered the famous Kanidaruma (880 yen), which was convenient to eat and tasted great with lemon, mayonnaise, and crab vinegar. I had a satisfying meal with a good variety of sake and attentive service for less than 5,000 yen. I found a great restaurant with delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you for the meal.
