Arrived at 6:00 pm on a regular day. There was one group of 3 customers already seated, and two more groups arrived later. This restaurant, located on the B1F of Sapporo Factory 3rd Street Building, opened a year ago. It used to be a Chinese restaurant called "Ebisutei." The main branch is in Hiraoka, with a total of 7 branches in Hokkaido. I used to really like the Odori branch, but unfortunately, it closed down. There were 2 staff members in the dining area and 2 in the kitchen, all of them were women. The ordering process here is a bit different from other restaurants (hot soba is normal). You can choose between thick curly noodles, thin noodles, or a mix of both for your soba, and then order dipping sauce according to your preference. I wasn't sure at first, but the soba comes with a dipping sauce, so you don't necessarily have to order it separately. This time, I ordered the "Kanagawa thick curly noodles (regular size 300g)" (814 yen) and the "Duck broth" (583 yen). Shortly after, the dishes for the other customer arrived. I started with the warm duck broth, which was rich and flavorful with duck fat. Even though I'm not a big fan of warm soba broth, this one was delicious. It had plenty of green onions and duck meat. Next, I tried the dipping sauce. Despite the lack of seaweed, it was surprisingly light and refreshing. The green onions were cut thick. The soba was served in two portions, one with flat noodles that had a good texture and flavor. The soba broth was cloudy and also flavorful. Overall, it was a satisfying and delicious meal, typical of the quality you'd expect from "Sakura." I ended up finishing the duck broth, but it made me quite thirsty (laughs). However, the prices are a bit on the higher side. I thought 300g was too much, but it would be just right for men. Next time, I'll try the "Rich Curry Soba."
