I had pork horn stew curry with shrimp topping. I also had chicken soup. There is also shrimp soup available. The curry was delicious with plenty of ingredients and a generous amount of soup. Next time, I would like to try the curry with beef tripe.

I wanted to eat soup curry, so I did some research and visited this restaurant. I thought it might be a shop run by a female owner, but a man greeted me instead. I ordered the Beef Tendon Curry with Rich Shrimp and Tomato Soup, with a spice level of 5. I also asked for an XL rice topping with dried seaweed. As soon as the dish arrived, I did a little victory pose in my mind! I was confident that this was going to be delicious. The flavors were well-balanced and had a strong presence. The dried seaweed topping added a nice touch to the dish. It was tasty and the portion size was generous. It's easy to see why this place is popular.

The menu seems to be the same for both lunch and dinner. The most affordable vegetable dish is over 1200 yen. Nowadays, everywhere seems to be around this price range. The soup is regular, with the option to adjust spiciness up to level 5 for free, and you can get up to 200g of rice for free. The portion size is quite generous. The vegetables are cut into large chunks, with plenty of cabbage included. It would have been even better if the cabbage was cut into thick slices. The soup was light, with occasional hints of sweetness and acidity. Even during lunchtime, there are few special offers, maybe just a coupon for a free topping of a soft-boiled egg if you add a friend on LINE. I wish there was a bit more value for the price. Thank you for the meal.

Last time I visited Asahikawa, I went to Okushiba Shoten, so this time I went to SHINO curry. The owner used to work at Okushiba Shoten. I ordered the Pork Kakuni and Seasonal Vegetable Curry for 1550 yen. I was hoping for the rich Ebisu soup, but unfortunately it was sold out that day, so I ordered the Chicken Soup Regular, spiciness LEVEL 3, and Rice M. The soup curry came in a bowl-like dish. It had two large pieces of tender pork kakuni. The vegetables included broccoli, pumpkin, eggplant, burdock, bell pepper, lotus root, yam, okra, and more. The curry was spicy but not overly so, making it easy to eat and delicious. There was a generous amount of ingredients and soup, providing a satisfying meal. However, it may be filling, so if you plan to try other foods while sightseeing, please take note.

During a drive trip in the outskirts of Asahikawa, I visited this restaurant. I ordered the braised pork and vegetable curry, as well as the seasonal special, "yamabushi garlic" and asparagus mutton keema curry. I haven't had soup curry much before, but it was really delicious! It's lightly spicy and easy to eat, yet has a rich flavor. As you can see from the photos, the dishes were packed with vegetables that could last for a week, all sourced locally in Hokkaido and very tasty. I enjoyed it with a bowl of rice. Thank you for the meal. By the way, I'm not a fan of spicy food, so I chose level 2, but you can adjust the spiciness up to level 10. If you like spicy food, give it a try!

It's the middle of the Golden Week holiday season in Japan, and chappytsum took paid leave to have a 6-day break. However, they have to work on the last day in the afternoon, so it's more like a 5.5-day break. On this day, their child was at kindergarten, so they had a rare day out with their spouse. They decided to go on a date to Nitori, Homac, and Uniqlo. They ended up at "SHINO curry" for some soup curry, a place run by a humble owner, where the service can take some time. Despite the wait of about 20 minutes, the couple had a hard time finding conversation topics without their child around. They ordered the Beef Tendon Curry (spiciness level 5, large rice) for 1300 yen. The beef tendon was tender and made them crave a drink. The curry was filled with various vegetables like lotus root, bell pepper, carrot, cabbage, burdock, and okra, with the standout being the burdock. The soup was a classic type, with a spiciness level of 5 being quite hot. Overall, they found the curry delicious and plan to try a higher spiciness level next time.

Today's lunch was at SHINO curry. I had the Chicken and Vegetable Curry for 1350 yen. I was the only customer there, so it felt like a private dining experience. I chose the fried chicken option, and the rice portion was large at 250g. I asked for a spice level of 5, and the dish was served in about 10 minutes. The chicken was crispy and delicious, and the curry was filled with eggplant, bell pepper, carrot, okra, cherry tomatoes, burdock root, lotus root, broccoli, cabbage, and sweet potato. It was a generous portion with just the right amount of spiciness at level 5.

Soup curry "SHINOcurry". Located at 9 Chome, Harumi 4 Jo, Asahikawa City, map here https://goo.gl/maps/YuEvagRUW4avRu3x8. Open from 11:00 to 15:00 and 17:00 to 20:30, closed on Tuesdays. Parking available, takeout also available. Please contact the store for the current opening hours, closures, takeout options, etc. Official Instagram https://www.instagram.com/shino.curry/. I finally went to this place after hearing so many good reviews. It used to be a soup curry restaurant called "Monkey House" https://dc2raka.livedoor.blog/archives/55778045.html. It's located across from the Co-op Sapporo Harumi store. The interior has been changed. It's a small place with a long seating area. The prices are reasonable. The ordering system is typical for a soup curry restaurant, where you choose the type, spiciness level, rice portion, and any additional toppings. I ordered the braised pork and vegetable curry (large rice, spiciness level 5) for 1450 yen including tax. The amount of vegetables is impressive, with a variety of types in generous portions. The fried tomatoes and nagaimo (Chinese yam) were especially delightful. Most of the vegetables, except for carrots and cabbage, are deep-fried. Every time I saw good reviews, I wondered if it was really that delicious. Well, it is! Just as the reviews say, it's a great place. The taste is straightforward and not overpowering, with a nice balance of sweet and spicy. The abundance of vegetables made me really full. In terms of portion size and price, it's quite cost-effective compared to other soup curry restaurants. I really enjoyed it. The owner is friendly and easy to talk to. You can become LINE friends and receive a hot spring egg, which I got but ended up adding it last because I wasn't sure when to put it in. Mixing it with rice was also delicious. I heard that the owner used to work at Okushiba Shoten, but the flavor direction is quite different here. Both are delicious in their own ways.

Acquaintance's recommendation. There are plenty of seats, including counter seats. It was a weekday, but there were many customers, so we had to wait a bit for our food. The big owner is a kind guy to talk to. The Chicken Curry with spice level 5 was delicious with a good amount of spiciness. It might not be spicy enough for spicy food lovers. The chicken was tender and flavorful, with plenty of umami and vegetables. It's a popular place, so there might be a bit of a wait, but the atmosphere is nice and most importantly, the soup curry was delicious with lots of ingredients, soup, and spices.

The reviewer went for a revenge visit to Shinokari, which had closed unexpectedly last time. The location is across from Shunko Co-op. It used to be a soup curry restaurant before, right? The menu includes chicken, pork, vegetables, beef tendon, and chicken tempura. There was also a limited-time offering of pork curry. For the first visit, they ordered the basic chicken and vegetable curry. They chose spiciness level 8 out of 10. They ordered a small portion of rice. The curry looked beautiful with its colorful ingredients like red, green, and white. The portions were generous and had a variety of ingredients like carrots, bell peppers, spinach, lotus root, broccoli, okra, eggplant, and shimeji mushrooms. They almost forgot about the main chicken, which had a crispy skin and looked delicious. The soup seemed to be a thin tomato-based broth, maybe with chicken bouillon. It had a nice spice flavor and was tasty. The fried broccoli added a crunchy and fragrant element to the dish. Dipping it in the soup enhanced the flavor even more. The fact that they served rice in a tea cup also added a touch of Okinawan style. They want to try the chicken tempura curry with extra broccoli next time.

Local free paper had new soup curry restaurant information, so I decided to visit! The name "SHINO" was thought to be related to someone named Shinohara or Shino, but it actually means "play" in Ainu language. The restaurant was full with previous customers, but I was seated promptly after they finished. It took about 30 minutes for the food to arrive. I ordered the Beef Motsu and Mushroom Curry for 1500 yen (tax included) with spice level 6. The rice was mixed with barley, a bit firm and dry. The curry was served in a deep bowl, similar to a rice bowl. The ingredients included beef motsu, shimeji mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, carrots, bell peppers, okra, eggplant, cabbage, burdock, lotus root, and gobo. Can you spot the mistake in the list of ingredients? The curry had a rich and flavorful taste, with a hint of fried garlic aroma, but slightly burnt. It lacked a bit of spiciness and depth, especially compared to another soup curry place I like. The chicken and vegetable curry I tasted seemed to lack some flavor. I might consider trying to increase the spiciness level next time, but overall, I don't think I will come back.

A new soup curry restaurant opened in Asahikawa City on January 18th. The restaurant was opened by the former head chef of the popular "Okushiba Shoten". I visited the restaurant with high expectations after hearing about it from a friend. I ordered the "Braised Pork and Vegetable Curry" (1,450 yen, tax included) with a spice level of 5. I also ordered a "Blueberry Lassi" (380 yen). The curry was served in about 10 minutes and I was impressed by the generous portion of braised pork and vegetables. The spice level at 5 was just right for me, as the soup was flavorful with around 20 different spices used. The braised pork was tender and satisfying, as it had been cooked for 4 hours. The curry was packed with a variety of vegetables like broccoli, bell pepper, shimeji mushrooms, lotus root, spinach, carrots, okra, burdock, eggplant, and cabbage. The rice had barley mixed in and the lassi was creamy and delicious. Overall, I was very satisfied with the soup curry and would love to try other unique curry dishes offered at this restaurant such as beef tendon curry and chicken tempura curry.

Visited during lunchtime. The owner mentioned that medium spice level is 2 and spicy is 3. Ordered the spicy pork curry with spice level 3 and medium rice. The rice had barley in it. The meat was big and not too tender, but I liked the meaty texture. The vegetables included eggplant, lotus root, bell pepper, burdock, okra, carrot, cabbage, and spinach. The spicy soup was on the heavier side, more like the "Lamai style" in terms of soup curry index. Ate without worrying too much about pacing with the rice. The generous amount of vegetables made me quite full. Thank you for the meal. *Cash payment only.

I think this curry is probably a very standard blend of spices without any special ingredients like stewed chicken or extra spices. It's not trying too hard to be fancy, so it's the type of curry that most people would probably enjoy. You can choose between fried or charred chicken, and I recommend the charred option. The curry is served with white rice only, you can't choose anything else.

In 2021, the food blogger chappytsum, who has a deep knowledge of literature and is filled with intelligence, is here to introduce the summary of Miura Ayako's masterpiece "SHINO curry Pass" for those who have not read it. Once upon a time, there was an old man and an old woman. The old man went to the mountains for "SHINO curry," and the old woman went to the river to do laundry. That's how it is with "SHINO curry." His wife said, "I want to eat soup curry. You must be eating soup curry like crazy when you're living alone or whatever, but since coming to Asahikawa, I haven't had soup curry even once. Give me soup curry." So, we decided to visit this place, which offers takeout and is relatively close to our home. Actually, I've been eating it since coming to Asahikawa... ( ̄▽ ̄;) Taro is now 2 years and 11 months old, and he can eat a lot more things now, so most restaurants allow us to eat in, but soup curry is a different story... So, we decided to go for takeout. The inside of the restaurant is run by the owner alone. He has a strong physique and looks a bit tough, but he's a very nice person who greets Taro with "Hello" and asks, "Do you want some candy?" Pork belly curry... spiciness level 5 (free), rice L (250g, free) for 1250 yen. First, I took a sip of the soup. Level 5 is the maximum for free, so it's quite spicy. It has a faint tomato flavor, a smooth and classic soup. The spiciness is not that strong, but it's a tasty soup that seems to be well-received by everyone. It feels slightly greasy, but that's because of the pork belly, so it's acceptable. The ingredients include pork belly, lotus root, carrot, burdock, cabbage, okra, and more. The pork belly is not too tender, slightly firm. It's tasty without any unpleasant smell, but I would be happier if it were a bit softer. The vegetables are all delicious, especially the burdock, which has a good flavor. Among all the takeout soup curries I've had, this is the best one (*´∀`)♪ My wife was also very satisfied!!

"SHINO curry" This restaurant has been on my list for quite a while, even though it's not that old. I wonder why it hasn't disappeared yet. I'm considering getting takeout from here, but it's hard to go during their opening hours. I'm not even sure if they offer takeout. I'm alone in Asahikawa today as my wife is at work. She has an early day today, so I need to head back soon. I'll give them a call. My note says "Soup curry with braised pork." The timing is perfect as it's 1 PM now. I'll call them. Surprisingly, a man answered the phone with a nice voice. I asked if they offer takeout for their soup curry, and they said they do. I ordered the braised pork with level 5 spiciness. The rice will be a medium size, and it will take 20 minutes. I told them I might be a bit late but I'll definitely come, so please prepare it. It turns out the restaurant is near the Co-op Sapporo. It has a new exterior, although it's not newly built, just renovated. The interior smells nice. There are both men and women dining. The man who answered the phone has a nice voice. The meal costs 1250 yen, which is the price of two servings of fried rice. Keeping my wife happy is expensive. I rate the soup curry as "amazingly delicious" with a score of 4.0. It's spicy and tasty. I don't understand the technicalities, but it's just delicious. The spiciness may be mild, but the flavor is not. The soup is delicious. I think takeout soup curry retains its flavor, and even improves it. The appearance may not be as good, but the taste is enhanced. It might be a bit oily, but the cabbage is delicious. The vegetables are tasty, even though they are a bit overcooked. Overall, it's really delicious. I can't deny that. "Give it a 4.5 rating!"
