I used it for a business trip to Obihiro. The breakfast venue is a restaurant on the first floor. It's a bit narrow, but the high ceiling gives a nice feeling. The breakfast, priced at 1600 yen (1800 yen for regular customers), was all mediocre. The seafood bowl requires you to pour the vinegar sauce onto the rice yourself. There are also pork bowls, seafood bowls, and Genghis Khan, but they didn't really appeal to me. It felt like most of the food was for commercial use. I have used Richmond hotels in other areas across the country a few times, and they have always left a good impression with their clean and satisfying rooms. However, this particular branch seemed a bit outdated, maybe it was a pre-existing establishment? The room was a bit old, but the convenience is good. I don't think I will visit this branch again.

I stayed at Richmond Hotel Obihiro Ekimae and chose the breakfast included option. At check-in, I selected the "Local Specialty Meal B" which included Shin-toku soba, tempura, and rice balls. The breakfast venue was the "Yakohai" which I have visited a couple of times before, it is a very stylish place. They also offered a small dish buffet service which was great. The Shin-toku soba was probably the commercially available Shin-toku half-raw soba, it was delicious with shiitake and maitake mushrooms. The room was very cozy and comfortable, with a nice view from the 13th floor. I would definitely want to stay at this hotel again. Thank you for the meal.

Yome-san always decides things suddenly, so you need to be prepared. She said she booked a hotel in Obihiro, but actually wanted to go to Asahikawa. Recently, she considered the circumstances. "Richmond" - I've never stayed there before. Oh, really? It's a new travel something. She chose a plan without breakfast, but regretted it in the morning. She ordered the breakfast separately for 1,400 yen. The buffet items were high quality and delicious. The miso soup with scallops was outstanding. However, the main dishes, the seafood bowl and beef toro flakes bowl, were disappointing. Overall, the impression was not great. The hotel's selling point may be the main dishes, but sticking to the buffet items might be better. The parking situation was a bit confusing, but the customer service was good. I would consider revisiting.

It's been about 2 years since I last visited. I used to go regularly for breakfast when it was a buffet, but I haven't been back since they changed it. The hotel itself is nice and there are no issues. They don't have hot springs, which is a bit disappointing, but you can get bath salts at the front desk. The rooms are clean and the bathtub is spacious. The beds are also large and guarantee a good night's sleep. I went to the breakfast venue for the first time in a while and it was the same as before. Nothing had changed. When checking in, they asked me what I wanted for breakfast. I debated between Japanese food and seafood bowl, but ended up choosing the seafood bowl out of curiosity. In addition to the main set menu, there are various side dishes to choose from. I picked 7 dishes, including salad. It was okay, nothing special. The seafood bowl had sushi rice, which was nice, but the seafood toppings were a bit lacking - salmon, tuna, scallops, sweet shrimp, tamagoyaki, and a little bit of masuikura. The bowl didn't have much volume. I ate the side dishes and it was a decent amount, but the seafood bowl was just average. It wasn't great, but not terrible either. There was also dessert, but I didn't try it. Overall, it was a decent breakfast.

Hotel in front of Obihiro Station. The hotel parking lot was full, so I was directed to the municipal parking lot underground. I made a reservation on a travel website and was encouraged to join the Richmond membership. It seems very beneficial? 100 points for 1000 yen, so a 10% discount in reality? Maybe? It's a beautiful hotel. Recently, hotels in Hokkaido have been increasing with hot springs. This one doesn't have one. I skipped dinner and had breakfast. In the bustling hall, there were plenty of seats available. Not crowded? I secured my favorite seat and went to get food. Not much change from the last time I stayed here. The soup with a whole chicken is the same. It felt a bit nostalgic. I guess this chicken is just for the broth? There were no tools to break the chicken. The pork bowl meat is a standard. There was also pork Jingisukan, so it's a high-energy breakfast for pork lovers! There was soup curry like keema curry, grilled fish, salad, and various other options, making it very satisfying. The grade is higher with items like cod roe, grilled fish, and pickled plums compared to other hotels. I ate too much and feel like I'm turning into a pig in the morning. There were two female staff members, and I liked their customer service! Applause for their smiles and attention. I recommend this hotel. I will stay here again.

This was my first business trip to Obihiro in 2019. The city was hot, almost reaching 30 degrees Celsius, feeling like summer. There are only about three ANA flights from Haneda to Obihiro, so if you arrive the day before, it will be in the evening. It takes about 40 minutes by bus from the airport to Obihiro Station. There are several business hotels around Obihiro Station, but I recommend the Richmond Hotel for its cleanliness. I stayed in a twin room this time, which was spacious at 24 square meters. Nearby hotels may offer large baths or hot springs, but this one does not. Dining is at Yako Sai on the first floor, which offers a buffet. The variety is not extensive, but it covers the basics. Since it's Obihiro, they have pork bowl and soup curry, which were quite delicious.

This is Obihiro ^_^ I always stayed at the same hotel and got a little tired of it, so this time I decided to try Richmond Hotel! It came with dinner and breakfast, and it was cheaper than the breakfast-included option, which was attractive ^_^ I had a pizza set the night before and then had a party at Iroha Nihoheto, so I'll go a bit light on breakfast. I've been indulging in food and drinks every day and night, and my stomach has started to show, so I'll be mindful of my health from now on σ(^_^;) I rushed into the breakfast venue first thing in the morning. I had pork bowl for lunch the day before, but when you come to Obihiro, you can't miss it, right? There's also soup curry! Spices are good for your health, right? It has a stress-relieving effect! Salad, tonkatsu, sausage, meatballs, fish, tarako, side dishes, and... I thought I'd take a little bit of everything, but in the end, as always... σ(^_^;) I didn't really reflect on it at all (@_@) Once you've piled it up, you can't not eat it, right? (laughs) The pork bowl was delicious, I enjoyed it very much ^_^ This hotel is also on my rotation now ^_^ Thank you for the meal ^_^ 1005

At the end of September, I stayed at the "Richmond Hotel" near the north exit of Obihiro Station during my business trip to Hokkaido. The hotel is related to the Daiwa Roynet chain, which I have stayed at in Matsuyama, and also where my mother-in-law and sister-in-law have stayed. The room was not very spacious, but it had a study desk and a separate chair and table. I was impressed by the curtain rail in the bathroom, which had a bulge in the middle and curved, so even when the curtain is closed during a shower, it doesn't feel cramped. It's these little ideas that lead to inventions, right?
As for breakfast, the hotel restaurant "Yakouhai" on the 1st floor served a great buffet. The restaurant is long and narrow, with the kitchen on the right and a variety of buffet items in front. The breakfast had Hokkaido-style dishes and ingredients. On the first day, I had rice, soup curry (tomato), miso soup (with green onions), salad, scrambled eggs, fried eggplant and green peppers, sausages, and pork bowl (just the pork). On the second day, I had a similar meal with corn soup, a different salad, and grilled saury instead of the pork bowl. There was also Hokkaido-style soup curry available. I ate too much and couldn't move afterwards. Buffets are dangerous, I have no self-control.

The breakfast buffet starts at 6:30, so you can eat a little earlier. The restaurant where you have breakfast has a high ceiling and spacious seating, creating a nice atmosphere. The food is just a typical buffet, but there are no terrible tasting dishes, and there are some delicious items like bacon, local sweet potatoes, and soba noodles that make you feel satisfied. The hotel is clean, and the rooms and bathrooms are a bit larger and more comfortable compared to slightly cheaper hotels like Toyoko Inn. You can use the self-checkout machine, so there's almost no congestion when you're leaving. With a solid breakfast included in the price, I think this hotel is quite satisfying as a relaxed business hotel.

I stayed at this hotel and had breakfast included in the plan. There were about 30 different items available, including drinks. It cost around 1200 yen, but guests receive a slight discount. They served local specialties such as pork bowl and locally grown nagaimo. There were several simmered dishes and the breakfast had a focus on Japanese cuisine. In addition to white rice for the pork bowl, they also offered seasonal mixed rice, which was mushroom-flavored in September. It was delicious.
