While taking a walk in August 2022, I happened to pass by this shop and decided to buy their onigiri. Unfortunately, they were sold out last time, but this time I managed to get some. There were various types to choose from, and I was indecisive. At that time, they only had egg omelette, but I think they have side dishes if you go early. I ordered red salmon and dried plum, while my companion got yukari and mitarashi dango. We had to wait for a bit, but it was worth it as the shop seemed quite busy. When we got back and ate the onigiri, it was delicious, with the rice being tasty and the fillings substantial. However, the dango had a strong brown rice flavor that didn't quite match with the mitarashi sauce. I didn't know this place was thriving, but I'll definitely try it again when I pass by.

I visited Komeshin Niikawa Store for the first time! Let's buy something on the way back. Rice balls sound good, I'll buy two. One with bonito flakes for 120 yen and one with red salmon for 150 yen. The prices are cheap. I'll have these as a snack at home. Itadakimasu. The rice is delicious just as it is. It's plump and sticky, with the perfect amount of filling and flavoring. Rice balls are always delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I suddenly crave onigiri and visit this place occasionally. The price of onigiri is not too high, and the taste is delicious. However, it is not good to throw the items when paying at the cashier.

I'm alone in Kushiro today. My wife is working late, so she must be making something for dinner. But I'll buy something on my way back. Huh? I saw a review about onigiri, so I'll buy some onigiri. I found a place called "Kome Shin Shinkawa Store" on my navigation, but didn't I just pass by it? I walked in and it turned out to be a rice shop. "Can I get some onigiri?" "Sure," replied the friendly couple running the shop. "I'll have the salmon and salmon roe onigiri." It costs 350 yen with tax. The shop had a traditional rice shop vibe, with bags of rice lined up neatly. After a 3-minute wait, the wife handed me the onigiri. It seemed like she made it herself. My portion was still cold as I ate it. There wasn't a lot of salmon roe, but the rice was delicious. Even when cold, it was really tasty. This onigiri is amazing. The next day, my wife praised the onigiri, saying, "It was so delicious." This onigiri has definitely earned her approval. Kome Shin, Imi Shin, Enpitsu no Shin.

Near Bikkuri Donkey, if you check the map, it should be easy to find. There are a few parking spaces in front of the store. Inside, besides rice balls, there are various other items on display, including rice cakes. I wanted to try a rice ball, so I entered the store. The staff kindly said it was okay to eat inside, as there were tables and chairs available. I ordered the Leaf Wasabi rice ball with brown rice. When asked if white rice was okay, I learned that you could choose between white and brown rice. I opted for brown rice. They served the rice ball on a plate with a wet towel and disposable chopsticks. They also offered tea in paper cups. The tea was delicious and went well with the rice ball. The Leaf Wasabi rice ball had a unique flavor and color. It wasn't spicy, but had a mysterious taste and color. It was very tasty. The most popular choices are the salmon and the Leaf Wasabi rice balls. I must try the salmon next time!

I came to the rice shop Komeshin in Kushiro (* 'ᵕ' )☆ I came to buy rice, but the rice balls also looked delicious~ so I ended up buying some (ノ∀`笑) You can choose from mixed grain rice, brown rice, or white rice for the rice balls (*^^*) I bought the leaf wasabi brown rice, cheese Iburi gakko mixed grain rice, salmon, minced meat, mentaiko butter, etc. When I asked the staff, they recommended the leaf wasabi for the brown rice, so I bought it, but I thought I didn't like brown rice, but I didn't mind it at all (*´~`*)ŧ‹"ŧ‹"ŧ‹" The rolled omelette and zangi were also very delicious ҉ ٩(๑>ω<๑)۶҉

The destination for the day was Komeshin Shinkawa store. I had tried onigiri at the Ashino store the other day and it was delicious, so I decided to buy onigiri at the Shinkawa store as well. I purchased:
- Red salmon onigiri for 150 yen
- Sujiko (salmon roe) onigiri for 200 yen
- Grilled tarako (cod roe) onigiri for 150 yen
- Mountain wasabi and bonito flakes onigiri for 140 yen
All of them were made with white rice. The red salmon onigiri was delicious as expected. The combination of rice, saltiness, and salmon was perfect. The sujiko onigiri had a subtle saltiness, not too overpowering. Overall, it was well-balanced and tasty. The grilled tarako onigiri was quite salty. It felt like there was too much salt sprinkled on the rice rather than the tarako itself. The mountain wasabi and bonito flakes onigiri had a mild wasabi flavor. It lacked the strong spiciness that I enjoy, so it was a bit underwhelming for me. There were a few customers ahead of me, so there was a bit of a wait. I took the time to explore the various types of rice displayed in the store. There were many brands that I was not familiar with, so I might consider using them for cooking in the future. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I visited Kushiro, and I was looking for a place to eat during lunchtime using "Tabelog" search. However, with limited time before my return train on JR, I had to give up on eating in and look for something I could take out. I hurried to a bakery, but it was closed. What bad luck! I quickly searched for another option and found "Komeshin"! I didn't know that Komeshin, known for selling rice in Sapporo's Shiroishi-ku Kitago, also offers takeout onigiri in Kushiro. The store looked like a normal rice shop, with large rice bags displaying prices. The menu included onigiri, brown rice dumplings, a small variety of side dishes like tamagoyaki and karaage, and there were also drinks in the fridge. I bought the "Salmon Onigiri" for 150 yen and the "Grilled Tarako Onigiri" for 170 yen. I enjoyed them in the car. The onigiri had the perfect firmness, moisture level, rice texture, and saltiness. The seaweed was light and crispy, which I liked. Honestly, I felt that the quality was even better than the Kitago store. I would love to try the onigiri with fresh tarako and sujiko using this rice. I will visit again. Thank you for the meal.

This is another gift I received (*´꒳`*)♡ I was curious about Kome Shin's rice balls! Rice balls from a rice shop are definitely delicious (⁎˃ᴗ˂⁎) I received the salmon and leaf wasabi flavors. The leaf wasabi is so tasty (*゚ロ゚*) I could eat as many as I want (*ノ∀`*) Each grain of rice is firm and well-made, as expected from a rice shop. The salmon one had a slightly dry texture, which bothered me a bit (˙◊˙) I prefer it to be a bit stickier. The saltiness of the salmon was perfect. Overall, these rice balls were very delicious (*ˊᵕˋ*)♡
