This hotel has been renovated into a sauna. The breakfast area is shared with the adjacent annex. I had breakfast in the shared area, where you can choose between two types of bento boxes. You can help yourself to miso soup and rice, and there are also free soba noodles and tempura. The lobby had a vending machine for crabs, which was a bit unusual.

Today's breakfast was at the "LC Goryokaku Hotel" in Hakodate. It was a bento style meal, not a buffet. I had a salmon bento box, which included salmon, Wiener sausages, tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette), kinpira gobou (burdock root), and kombu. I enjoyed it with rice sprinkled with sesame seeds. I also helped myself to some miso soup, which was warm and comforting. There was natto available as well, so I decided to have some for the health benefits. I also found some additional pasta (Napolitan) as a side dish, which I appreciated. The hotel is conveniently located near Goryokaku Koen-mae Station, making it easy to access the downtown area. I would definitely like to stay here again in the future. Thank you for the meal, LC Goryokaku Hotel.

I had the opportunity to stay in the Goryokaku area and found out that there was a sauna here. Breakfast was free!! You could choose from 2 options, and you would get a ticket from a machine at check-in. I saw the pictures but didn't understand the details, and all I could see was seaweed, so I chose option B. I could confirm that option A included furikake and Neapolitan. At the venue, we could also help ourselves to soba noodles and a dish called "Okaasan no kinchaku," which is a fried dish in a stew. The soba noodles had tempura crumbs in them and were quite flavorful. There was also a microwave available, and you could get seconds of rice. Self-service drinks were also provided. I thought there were only juices available, so I didn't use the server, but a staff member told me, "It's okay to take it to your room," and when I looked again, I saw that there was also BOSS iced coffee, so I enjoyed it in my room. There was no hot coffee available, but I prefer iced coffee, so it was great. The bento box was delicious, and I was surprised that it was free. By the way, the sauna was very impressive. It was for private use, and I enjoyed it comfortably. I could start sweating immediately, and there were large fans available. There were also four individual bathtubs with cold and room temperature water. There were no cups in the room, but just like with the toothbrush, there were no cups here either. The plastic cups for drinking water were very fancy, like those at a beer garden!

I arrived in Hakodate on a trip in early autumn in 2022. I took the New Star bus from Sapporo Station at 7:35 am and arrived at Hakodate Station before 1 pm. I took the Hakodate City Tram to Goryokaku Park. I will be staying at the LC Goryokaku Hotel Annex for 2 days today and tomorrow. I made a reservation through a travel agency for this trip, but I booked this hotel myself through Rakuten Travel. The room was a semi-double room with unlimited sauna access and free breakfast at the main building for a total of 8,040 yen for 2 nights. The walls seemed thin as I could hear noises from the next room, so earplugs may be necessary for sensitive individuals. Recently, the LC Goryokaku Hotel was known as "Dormy Inn EXPRESS Hakodate Goryokaku," and the annex was known as "Old Style Hotel Hakodate Goryokaku." Check-in is from 3 pm, and check-out is at 11 am. You can use the self-checkout machine at the front desk on the 2nd floor of the main building. There is also a coffee service available anytime next to it. Breakfast can be purchased using the self-checkout machine at the front desk. You can choose from three types of bento boxes: hamburger, fried chicken, and nori. Breakfast is served in the main building's breakfast room from 6:30 am to 9:30 am. I chose the hamburger bento on the first day and the nori bento on the second day. The hamburg and fried chicken bentos require you to put the rice yourself. The nori bento comes with unlimited rice if you serve it separately. The miso soup is instant and self-served. The hamburger was about 2cm thick, and there were two 10cm sausages, macaroni salad, and spaghetti. It looked decently delicious. The taste was like frozen food, but it's free, so no complaints (laughs). The nori bento had grilled salmon on top of rice with grilled seaweed, two pieces of fried chicken, two sausages, and macaroni salad. If you stay for 3 nights, you can enjoy 3 different bento boxes. The sauna is also popular, although I did not use it. I would like to stay at this hotel again if I have the chance.

Dormy Inn Express changed to this hotel in April this year. The sauna is the main attraction and it's really well done. The lounge offers unlimited juice, alcohol, and snacks. Breakfast is free and you can choose from 3 types of bento boxes at check-in. You can eat it on the first floor.
