I went on a business trip to Hakodate. This time, I stayed at the Seaside Hotel Kamome, which had an ocean view. All rooms were along the coast, so the view was truly oceanic. And breakfast! The breakfast here was not a buffet style, but rather a personal tray for each person. I sat at the counter by the sea and enjoyed breakfast while watching seagulls strolling by. It was really delicious. Oh, and guess what! They even served squid sashimi in the morning. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.

This time, my accommodation for the Hakodate business trip is here. Seaside Hotel Kamome. It's really seaside, and there are seagulls, so the naming is very realistic! This time, I had a room with a great view of Hakodate mountain in the evening glow. Now, I'll take a shower, crack open a can of Sapporo Classic, and have dinner. I sat at the counter seat right in front of the sea. With a slight buzz from the beer and this evening view, along with the sound of the waves, I thought to myself, "If only I could keep gazing at this forever..." But then I snapped back to reality when I heard, "Thank you for waiting" (^^;; The dinner, including yakisoba, was quite ordinary. The rice was served in a personal wooden rice tub, and you could portion it out to your liking. Even though it was for one person, there was quite a lot of food. Breakfast was at the same seat. The morning glow was dazzling. The breakfast was also quite ordinary. As expected of Hakodate, there was squid sashimi in the morning! There was no rice tub for breakfast, but instead, a mountain of rice (^^;; Personally, I can't eat this much, but (^^;; There was a glass pot of kelp tea in the drinks corner, maybe it was cold brewed? Very Hakodate-like (^^) I know it's good for the body. I wanted to drink it, but in the morning, I couldn't resist reaching for the coffee (^^;; It's a hotel where you want to leisurely feel the sea.

I stayed at a hotel in Hakodate when I visited with an adult holiday club pass. After enjoying the fantastic night view from Mt. Hakodate, I took the streetcar and got off at Matsukaze-cho. It was about a 10-minute walk to the hotel. Even though it was nighttime, I could tell that the hotel was located along the coast, with the smell of the sea and the sound of the waves. The room was relatively spacious with a built-in desk, a small table, and chairs. The window had double sashes. I opened the window and felt the sea breeze from the Tsugaru Strait blowing in. I realized that in the middle of winter, you need the double window to protect from the strong winds. There were fishing boats with fishing lights out at sea. It was my first time staying at a hotel right in front of the sea, and I was captivated by the view for a while. The breakfast the next morning was fantastic. There was a wide variety of dishes, including fresh squid sashimi, ikura, and a hearty miso soup with plenty of seaweed. The expansive view of the Tsugaru Strait right in front of me... It was a wonderful breakfast experience like no other I had ever had. The location and value for money of this hotel made it feel more like a resort than a business hotel. I decided that this would be my go-to accommodation whenever I visit Hakodate.
