We stayed at Asarigawa Onsen Hotel with a plan that included two meals. The restaurant had set menus instead of a buffet. We were with a one-year-old child, so we didn't have time to leisurely enjoy the food or take photos, but we still enjoyed the delicious meal. There was no kids' menu, so we brought our own food for our daughter to share a little. The room was a Japanese-style room with comfortable futons that didn't make our bodies ache. It seemed like the hotel wasn't too busy as the cleanliness could have been better. However, there were family baths available for reservation, which was convenient for families with children. The public bath had a baby cot, but it was only in the women's area, so it was a bit challenging for the dad to take care of our daughter. Personally, I wish the hotel was more child-friendly, but overall, it was better than staying at a noisy popular hotel. It was a lovely trip! Thank you!

I visited a hot spring hotel that was renovated from a former post office. For dinner, I had a Spanish course meal that included delicious dishes like Jamon Serrano, carpaccio, roast, and paella. All of them were tasty! The breakfast was light but satisfying enough. Overall, it was a great experience.

【Completely Non-Smoking (Smoking Room available on the 1st floor)】The facility of Kanponoyado Otaru, which closed at the end of March 2020, was reopened by Asasrikawa Onsen Ski Resort on December 25, 2021, on the 2nd floor of Asasrikawa Onsen Hotel, a restaurant, dining & bar. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available, and there is a great deal on day trips with meals for an additional fee of 2500 yen. There is a barrier-free family bath available (reservation required). The hotel is located along National Route 1 in the Asarigawa Onsen area.
Visited for the first time in the evening on January 13, 2022. Due to the continuous blizzard and high temperatures, the ski slopes were not in good condition. After only 3 and a half hours of skiing, I decided to take a break and have a drink. I stopped by the restaurant on the 2nd floor for a coffee, which was priced at 600 yen. I opted for a highball priced at 650 yen, which was a better choice than the expensive coffee. The whiskey was delicious. The meal menu for day trips with bathing included soba-style yakisoba or mild soup curry. I chose the pork bowl, made with Hokkaido-produced pork, which tasted noticeably better than imported pork. However, I wish they had informed me that the topping on the pork was a condiment, as it was similar in appearance to the meat itself. It was a mix of sansho pepper and grated ginger, which was tasty but took me by surprise. The staff seemed busy with a reception for a review site, so the service was a bit lacking. Also, the portion size was not enough for me, so the cost-performance ratio was low on this occasion.
