I usually went to other restaurants in the same chain, but this time I decided to try this one because it had reopened on July 5th with an all-you-can-eat and drink option for either Genghis Khan-style grilled lamb or lamb shabu-shabu. The renovated interior was brighter compared to other yakiniku restaurants. I chose the Genghis Khan all-you-can-eat option, where the first order includes raw lamb shoulder loin, and then you can freely choose from a variety of options like lamb shoulder, mutton, chicken, jerk chicken, hormones, and pork belly. Rice is also included, and each table has a ventilation system to prevent smoke from lingering too much. The staff were attentive and accommodating, offering an extra dish when our order was delayed. The overall atmosphere was lively and the service was great. It was not very crowded when I went on a Sunday at an early hour, and they don't rush you out when your time is up. They have convenient hours, closing at 3 am on Sundays and 6 pm on other days. I would definitely recommend making a reservation for a large group. I would like to try the lamb shabu-shabu next time.

~Sapporo and Otaru④~ For our last dinner, we had Genghis Khan (grilled lamb)! Without a reservation, we strolled around Susukino but every restaurant was fully booked... Luckily, we stumbled upon #Susukino Genghis Khan and got seated without waiting. As expected in Hokkaido, the meat had zero gamey taste! It had been a while since I had Hokkaido's Genghis Khan (grilled lamb), and it was delicious. I went to Sapporo to have Genghis Khan at Susukino, but since I didn't make a reservation, all the famous restaurants were fully booked. However, I managed to get a table here. Every dish on the menu was delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed Hokkaido. If you haven't made a reservation, try going to this restaurant as a last resort. It's delicious.

After becoming a Genghis Khan refugee for 30 minutes... in early summer Sapporo, famous places like Daruma are filled with tourists on weekends, and other restaurants were also almost full until around 8:30 pm... I thought, "I'll just go anywhere" but everywhere was full. As a last resort, I went to a place where there was only one group of two... ( ・∇・) Scary... The taste was okay, the shoulder loin was so-so, but the second one was no good - tough and bad color... The cartilage was fine. What's more concerning is the staff, they were understaffed. This is the first time I've given a rating like this, but I can't give less than 1 point. It was a learning experience. Haha.

On the first day of my business trip to Hokkaido in January 2023, I visited this restaurant again, which I have been to several times before. There were some changes this time, so here is my review. The all-you-can-eat option went from 4,500 yen to 5,000 yen, and the main attraction was the raw lamb shoulder. However, the 6,000 yen option includes lamb shoulder, lamb sausage, and other items. I was curious if the shoulder is not part of the shoulder? The ordering system has changed from a touch panel to using a mobile app this time. While others were ordering out loud, my senior preferred to use the app. In addition to the traditional Genghis Khan hot pot, there is now an option for a grill. This time, we ordered on the grill as my senior likes it that way. Initially, we received some vegetables along with the raw lamb and shoulder. But soon after, we ordered about six servings of raw lamb shoulder through the app. The sight of the grill filled with raw lamb was amazing. I opted for a wine sour instead of a beer, and we toasted. Now, onto the food! I wonder what the thin slices were for. We started with mutton and raw lamb, but then it was a parade of raw lamb shoulder. We indulged in the thick, tender meat without any gamey taste. I savored each bite dipped in a spicy sauce. It was pure bliss. I enjoyed the lemon sour from the specialty bar in a chilled tumbler and had a refill. We ate and ate and ate, devouring about 20 servings between the two of us. It was pure happiness.

I made a reservation around 7 pm, which I thought would be the busiest time, but there was no one else in the restaurant when I arrived. I felt a bit uneasy, but once I ordered, the meat was tender and the special sauce was delicious. It was good value for money, and I think it's a great place to enjoy tasty Genghis Khan while drinking casually. Looking back, it seems like it's often used as a second stop for drinks.

The main seating style is tatami seating where you take off your shoes. Unlike other Genghis Khan restaurants that use a hot pot, this place uses a charcoal grill. We were able to enter without waiting in the long lines that other restaurants had. There is a wide variety of Genghis Khan meat options, and overall, it was easy to eat without any strong odors. The staff also provided recommendations, which made the experience enjoyable.

In January 2022, during my business trip to Hokkaido, on the first evening, I had dinner with my senior colleague. We decided to go to a buffet restaurant that I had visited two years ago. When we arrived, we noticed some differences in the menu. Due to the current situation with COVID-19, we had to order using a touch panel. Another change was that instead of grilling on a mesh, we would be cooking in a Genghis Khan pot. My senior colleague preferred the mesh, but we had to adapt to the new method. We started with a toast with beer, although I remembered that I actually preferred draft beer for its smoothness. Unfortunately, they only had bottled beer. I ordered some lamb leg, which was delicious. I then switched to red wine and later tried some Japanese sake. We also had cucumber pickles and a fresh salad, which I learned was called "kaibetsu" in Hokkaido dialect. We enjoyed various meats like shoulder loin, hormone miso, hormone salt, mutton, and salted green onions with the main highlights being the shoulder loin and lamb leg. We ended up eating a lot, with six servings each of shoulder loin and lamb leg. It was a satisfying meal.

[2020.10 GoTo Hokkaido Day 5 Dinner] On the last night, I had Genghis Khan with my business partners! There was a restaurant called "Susukino Shokudo" on the first floor, and I accidentally went in there at first (^▽^;) When I told them my reservation name and that we were about 10 people, they kindly guided us to the second floor, saying "Ah! You meant the restaurant upstairs!" It was a course with all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink. They brought out about two types of meat at first, and after finishing that, we could freely order more. We were seated separately for smokers and non-smokers, and I ended up sharing a Genghis Khan hot pot with some cute young girls ♡ Genghis Khan cooked by cute girls is truly special (*´艸`) The flavored lamb and strongly flavored mutton were delicious, so I kept eating those (lol) I didn't order it, but the Wakame Tamago soup was popular and many people went for seconds ('∀') At first, I was a bit frustrated by the slow service, but it improved in the second half (maybe because our eating pace had settled down). For drinks, I started with a few glasses of Kinmugi beer and then moved on to Tomato Highball. When they ran out of tomato juice for the highball, I switched to Oolong Highball. We had a fun and lively time chatting and enjoying ourselves! Thank you for the meal!!

On the first day of my business trip to Hokkaido in February 2020, I went to dinner with a senior colleague who is from Hokkaido. When I asked where we should go for dinner, he mentioned a Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue) place that he always goes to. As a Genghis Khan lover, I was excited to try it out. We went to Genghis Khan 5-jo in Susukino. Although I had heard of it before, it was my first time visiting. We opted for the all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink course priced at 4,500 yen. There was also a 3,600 yen course available with the main difference being the variety of lamb dishes offered, including raw lamb, mutton, and seasoned lamb, as well as lamb leg, salted green onion lamb, and raw lamb shoulder in the 4,500 yen course. The reason we chose this course was that my senior colleague absolutely loved raw lamb shoulder. Throughout the 90-minute time limit, he kept ordering and eating it continuously. It was indeed tender and more flavorful than the regular raw lamb, so it was delicious. As for the drinks, I started with a beer, but I was a bit disappointed with the taste. It was a third-tier beer, and despite being the top-selling beer, it was not good. For an additional 300 yen, I could have upgraded to Asahi Super Dry, but I decided to switch to red wine instead. Apart from the raw lamb shoulder, we also ordered lamb leg and mutton. I ordered the mutton as I found lamb alone to be lacking. It was a deep experience. The lamb leg I ordered was drier and had a stronger taste compared to the mutton, with strong spices to mask the gaminess. I felt like the drinks influenced my perception. Since it was an all-you-can-drink option, I had about 5-6 glasses of red wine. And I must have had the raw lamb shoulder 5 or 6 times, I lost count. After continuously eating and drinking for 90 minutes, we used a 300 yen coupon from Tabelog at the end. We parted ways with my senior colleague after this, and although I usually go for a second round alone, I was too full today. My colleague mentioned that he wouldn't be able to eat as much if it was beef instead of lamb. That's true. I decided to head back to the hotel and relax in the hot spring.

This is Susukino. Genghis Khan for consecutive nights!! The previous day was a marinated Genghis Khan, but this time it's a simple grilled meat Genghis Khan. Genghis Khan is completely different even though they are both Genghis Khan!! The course was all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink for 4,500 yen. Cheers!! The meat provided by the restaurant is served first. Wow, it's a lot all of a sudden. Well, I cleared it easily though! Let's grill, let's grill!! It's quite delicious! The raw lamb shoulder loin is especially tender and tasty. I shared with another person since one person couldn't eat much. Genghis Khan goes well with drinks! The ventilation was good and it wasn't too crowded, so the smell was mostly okay. It's a good find with a sunken kotatsu table. Oops, I think I got quite drunk. Haha. Thank you for the meal!

This is a continuation of last year's reviews. This is a Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue) restaurant located on the 2nd floor of a building in Susukino. Although the main store is elsewhere, this was my first visit to this location. The interior of the restaurant has many sunken kotatsu tables, making it a large seating area with a significant number of seats, suitable for large groups. We were able to get a table without a reservation as we arrived early, but it got crowded by the time we finished, so I recommend making a reservation if you plan to visit. They offer all-you-can-eat and shabu-shabu options, but since we weren't very hungry, we ordered individual grilled meat items such as "Raw Lamb Shoulder (950 yen excluding tax)," "Raw Lamb Genghis Khan (750 yen excluding tax)," "Mutton (800 yen excluding tax)," "Pork Cartilage (480 yen excluding tax)," and "Kimchi (400 yen excluding tax)." The grilling style involves using a shichirin (charcoal brazier) brought to the table. There is an exhaust duct above the shichirin, but some smell did stick to our clothes. The raw lamb was very tender and had little to no gaminess, making it easy to eat. Personal preferences may vary, but I found the mutton more delicious than the lamb. The marinade, with its unique flavor, complemented the meat well and was tasty. The quality of the meat for the all-you-can-eat option seemed consistent, so it seems like a good deal for those who eat a lot. The prices are reasonable, making it a great choice for gatherings and parties.

I ordered the 3,900 yen all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink course. The raw lamb, mutton, chicken, pork kalbi, and grilled vegetables were all delicious and satisfying. The drink menu was also extensive and fulfilling. The female staff was cheerful, efficient, and very pleasant. I will definitely go back again.

This is a Genghis Khan restaurant located in the bustling area of Sapporo city. It is conveniently located near a train station, bus stop, and parking lot. I ordered raw lamb shoulder loin and beer this time, and the meat was thick and juicy. The alcohol selection was also plentiful besides beer. I highly recommend this place.

I used the 3300 yen all-you-can-eat and drink course. They provide vinyl aprons to keep your clothes clean. Each table has a shichirin grill. First, Genghis Khan mutton was served, then you can order additional items. I recommend the raw lamb and pork kalbi. The mutton is meaty but not very flavorful, so some may prefer the lamb or pork kalbi. The jerk chicken was spicy with a strong pepper spice. The drink options include highballs, sours, and the usual lineup, which is good.
