2023.06.25 (Sun) 12:00 First Visit Today is a beautiful sunny day. I enjoyed a morning in Tsukisamu and bought a birthday present for my wife at the outlet mall in Kitahiroshima. We decided to have lunch together at a spice curry restaurant. There were no other customers, so we sat at a table for two where we could see the whole restaurant. My wife ordered the normal paneer curry (980 yen) and I ordered the seafood curry (1,250 yen). Our food arrived in about 10 minutes. "Spice curry is really beautiful, isn't it?" my wife said. It truly is photogenic, and the aroma of the spices is amazing. With just one bite, you can taste the wonderful blend of spices, and you can adjust the spiciness with the spices on the table. I was satisfied with the level of spiciness as it was. It was delicious and enjoyable. And very happy. I wonder how many times I've bought birthday presents for my beloved wife. This time, she surprisingly asked for a tote bag. She chose a simple black bag that was on sale for an additional 25% off. "I'll use this for 10 years," she said happily as she put the bag over her shoulder. She has always treasured the gifts I've given her. I am confident that she will indeed use it for 10 years. When it's time to replace it in 10 years, let's choose a sunny day and come back here to enjoy the spice curry together.

Seafood Curry 1250 yen, at Kikusui Moto-machi Minami 7-jo Yonesato-dori in Shiroishi. A part of the "Nepalese Curry Shop San" series. This spice curry shop doesn't overdo it with their flavors. The interior is small and stylish, with a cafe-like atmosphere. They offer 4 types of curry plus a limited charcoal-grilled plain naan or rice with no extra charge for changes. You can customize your order for an additional fee! Feeling more like seafood today, I ordered the "Seafood Curry". The price stayed the same, with a smaller portion of rice. The dish is beautifully colorful and smells of seafood. The curry is rich and smooth, easy for people of all ages to enjoy. It's packed with shrimp, squid, and scallops, with no option for spiciness adjustment. You can use the chili powder on the table to adjust the heat. The papadum on the side is irresistible with its salty flavor. The three types of achaar (pickle) add a nice touch, with a mild spice level that feels like a salad. You can mix them separately or together. The rice is slightly firm, cooked with turmeric, and has a nice crunch from the fried onions. It's not greasy and is gluten-free, making it a healthy and safe option. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Today is the first day of my two-day weekend! I woke up around 3 am and felt hungry, so I had "Donbei Tempura Soba" for breakfast. Since my wife is working today, I decided to visit my mother-in-law's care house and bring her some treats. I also went to the orthopedic clinic to get medication for my back pain, got a haircut, and visited the Hokkaido Bank branch. After all that, I realized I was getting hungry again, so I decided to try a highly-rated soup curry restaurant in the same building. The restaurant was called "PeenaCurry," and I ordered the Pork Belly Curry with a side of Turmeric Rice. The curry was delicious, with tender pork belly and a flavorful spice blend. The meal also came with pickled vegetables and papadum chips. Overall, I enjoyed the Nepalese curry experience and would recommend it to others.

On a certain weekday, I visited a spice curry restaurant bookmarked for lunch in Kikusui Motomachi 4-jo, Shiraishi-ku. The parking lot can fit 1-2 cars in front of the shop. The interior is a compact and stylish space with 4 counter seats and 3 tables. Gentle Western music plays in the background. From the menu, you can choose from 4 types of curry and either rice or naan. This time, I ordered the "Tender Chicken Curry (1150 yen)" with the "Jeera Rice (+150 yen)" that caught my eye. After a while, it was ready. It had the appearance typical of spice curry. I took a bite... The curry itself had a rich and sweet flavor from the well-cooked onions, with a mild spiciness that lingers slightly at the end. When I sprinkled the garlic chips provided, the garlic flavor unexpectedly took over. As for the Jeera Rice... Oh? It was quite different from basmati rice, with a slightly yellow color and a sticky, fragrant texture similar to glutinous rice with added oil. The ingredients included chicken, onion chips in the curry, and tender chicken on top with a light salty taste. The crispy chicken, saltiness and oiliness of purple cabbage, lightly pickled shredded carrots, and watercress were also present. Overall, I was able to enjoy a flavorful and generous portion of spiced curry. Thank you for the meal.

Arrived right at the opening at 11:30 am on Saturday. The first customer, followed by two more groups and one takeout order. Located along Komezato-dori in Kikusui Motomachi, this restaurant opened about a month ago. It shares the building with a ramen shop called "Ame wa, Yasashiku" and a soup curry restaurant called "Cayenne Alternah." Previously, it was a pepper bun shop called "Kaiju Distopia." It is affiliated with a Nepalese curry restaurant (not visited before). The atmosphere is calm, with a wood and monochrome theme. The layout has changed significantly from the previous suspicious atmosphere (laughs). The background music is soft bossa nova. There are two staff members. This time, I ordered the "Tender Chicken Curry" (1150 yen). You can choose between rice and naan, and I chose the latter. It arrived in about 10 minutes. It is an authentic curry with a strong blend of spices and herbs, delicious! It has a moderate level of spiciness, just right for those who prefer medium spiciness. If it's not spicy enough, you can add more spices from the table. The naan is cut into quarters, making it easy to eat. It's crispy and chewy at the same time! The chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces, is tender and delicious with an ethnic seasoning. It also comes with a piece of papadum, which is flavorful and tasty! There is also a side dish of carrot and purple cabbage achar and mitsuba in a separate plate. It was a satisfyingly delicious meal. Next time, I will try the "Pork Belly Curry".

My colleague highly recommended this place, so I visited last month. The interior was clean and cute, showing the sense of the owner. There is a counter for solo diners, which is perfect for those who are shy. Now, onto the long-awaited spice curry. Delicious! \(//∇//)\ It reminded me of the "カ⬛️ゥカレー" from Sapporo, which is now rare, and the Pakistan dry curry from "ハ⬛️ディ". I posted about it on SNS that day, and my friends reacted with curiosity, some even visited the restaurant the next day or the day after. During lunchtime, they received messages saying they were sold out, haha. The reactions were all positive, with comments like "Delicious!" and "I will definitely come back!" I'm glad! I will visit again. *Common views reached with colleagues and friends → ①It would be nice to have a little more variety like pickles, masala eggs, or toppings to mix with the curry. ②We want this place to last, so let's go there regularly. Opened on September 3, 2022, this is the 20th restaurant I visited this year specializing in Spice Curry & Nepalese Curry. It seems to be related to the "Nepalese Curry Restaurant Shin-Kotoni" store. Located in the same building as the beloved "Ameha Yasashiku" restaurant. As it just opened, they only offer Spice Curry for now, but they do have Naan, so maybe they will also serve Nepalese Curry in the future. "Soft Chicken Curry" - ¥1,150 This dish consists of tenderly simmered chicken on a base of mildly spicy Peena curry. Served with papad, pickled purple onions, and carrots, the presentation is quite subtle. The turmeric rice is cooked to a firm texture. The curry itself has a mild spice level, making it suitable for most palates, even children. If you prefer it spicier, you can add some chili powder from the condiments on the table. "Seafood Curry" - ¥1,250 This dish features sautéed shrimp and scallops, but the seafood flavor doesn't stand out much. Overall, I felt that the price was a bit high for the quality offered. The location on the map is inaccurate, which is quite frustrating. It would be better if they provided correct information for customers. I hope they fix the location soon.

Opened on September 3, 2022, this Nepalese curry restaurant in Shinkotoni seems to be part of a chain. It used to be a strange yellow sheep restaurant before (^_^;) I tried the Pork Kakuni Curry with 4 pieces of melt-in-your-mouth braised pork for 1,280 yen. The spiciness level is medium, and you can add more heat using the spicy condiments on the table. The curry is a bit on the watery side, more like a paste curry. I ordered it with rice this time, but it looks delicious with naan too. The regular curry is a spiced chicken curry that tastes a bit strong at first, but it grows on you and becomes delicious. You might want to go for the large rice portion, especially since it's free until 2:00 PM (^^) The taste is unique and simply delicious, hard to describe in words m(_ _)m There are parking spaces for 2 cars, but be careful with the pillar on the side of the sign, it might be tricky to park there (^_^;) Next time, I might go for the large portion (*^^*)
