When it gets hot, the symptoms of my rare disease worsen, and there is no cure yet. I have to receive "blood products" for 5 consecutive days to temporarily improve the symptoms, but there must be several weeks between each treatment. I had 5 hospitalizations last year for treatment related to my rare disease. I recently had my first hospitalization of 2022 in January and was discharged 45 days ago. However, I have already made a reservation for my second hospitalization this year. I may not be able to like or comment on days when I am not feeling well, but I will definitely catch up later. Your supportive comments are always a source of encouragement for me during my hospital stays, and I am truly grateful. Thank you in advance for your continued support. In the meantime, I plan to mainly post reviews of past visits that have not been reviewed yet. I will limit new visits based on my health condition. "Rain Coffee Roastery" is a specialty coffee shop located on the first floor of "Rain Miyanosawa," which relocated in April 2021 from the central area of Sapporo where it used to operate as "Regale Coffee Roaster." In addition to coffee, they also offer pancakes and gelato. I tried the "Rum Raisin" gelato, which was excellent. I visited the new location with my usual companion. The shop is located near Miyanosawa Station in Sapporo's Nishi Ward. Please check the exact location on Tabelog. I visited on a holiday around 2 p.m. There were 2 customers before us and 1 customer after us. They offer around 10 types of coffee, mainly focusing on light and medium roasts. I chose the "Dominica Natural 100g ¥850," a light roast that is mainly used for American coffee. I had the coffee ground at home and enjoyed it as iced coffee. The Dominica Natural is a medium roast with a fruity flavor that is further emphasized by the roasting. It has a low acidity and a prominent aroma. It is a balanced coffee with a mild bitterness and acidity. Price: ¥850 (tax included) The Dominica Natural has a unique and specialty coffee-like flavor. It is reminiscent of "Cherry Coke" (Dr. Pepper in the Kanto region) in taste. The old Tokyo Coca-Cola Company was the first Coca-Cola bottler in Japan. At that time, there was no "Japan Coca-Cola" overseeing the entire country. "Dr. Pepper" was not a product of "American Coca-Cola." The old Tokyo Coca-Cola Company independently imported the syrup and manufactured and sold it within its territory. Nowadays, "Dr. Pepper" is recognized as a product under the umbrella of "American Coca-Cola." The cherry flavor is divisive among Japanese people. It's a coffee that some people will love. I wonder which specialty coffee I'll try next time. Thank you for the delicious meal.

On a certain holiday, I visited a trendy cafe called Mr. Rain in Nishi-machi, Nishi Ward. It was located on the first floor of a building, sharing a parking lot with the cafe. The space on the first floor of the building was slightly renovated to create a reception counter, product shelves, a waiting table, and a cool roasting machine behind the counter, which added to the atmosphere. I was intrigued by the selection of beans from various countries on the menu, and ended up choosing the somewhat unusual "Rwanda Washing Station Honey (500 yen)". Taking a sip... Wow, it's quite acidic! I was expecting some acidity, but this was even higher than I anticipated, which surprised me. However, it had a light and refreshing taste with minimal bitterness, and I could still taste a hint of richness. It was described as having flavors of apricot and white wine. I stumbled upon another coffee shop run by a coffee enthusiast. Thank you for the delicious coffee.

Rain Miyano Sawa has opened a coffee bean shop. It is still in preparation, but there are counter seats and table seats available. I found a table and chairs in the corner of the shop. You can drink inside the shop, and although I don't know much about the coffee beans, I tried the recommended Rwanda medium roast with a slightly acidic taste for 500 yen. It was very soothing. The location seems like a hidden gem in a residential area. It was mentioned that they used to sell beans wholesale in Sosei River East.
