The shop is Pommerii in Tomakomai. On this day, they came to Sapporo to participate in the Iburi Fair at Hokkaido Dosanko Plaza in Sapporo Station. They had apple pie, handmade chocolate assortment, scones, chiffon cake, and quiche lined up. When I opened the box of apple pie, there was an incredibly delicious aroma. The pie was filled with plenty of crispy apples, and it was just irresistible.

This is a restaurant I found on Tabelog. Let's go to this store "Pommerii"! Before the virus outbreak, they used to offer lunch sets, but currently they only serve sweets and drinks. According to their official Instagram, there are days when they offer private reservations or takeout only, but when I visited, dine-in was available. The staff said that the scones take about 10 minutes to bake, so I ordered a French roast blend coffee (¥500) along with a scone. The price of the scone was not explained, but the total bill came to ¥800, so I assume the scone was around ¥300. After a short wait, I received freshly baked scones and coffee. I have had reheated scones before, but having them freshly baked was a first for me. The scones had a crispy yet soft texture, and the addition of jam and butter was a nice touch for flavor variation. The scones had a subtle sweetness similar to pancakes, and tasted even better with the slightly tangy marmalade jam. The butter also added a mild flavor, showcasing different ways to enjoy the scones. The scones had a cookie-like crumble with just the right amount of sweetness and moisture, making them quite enjoyable. The coffee had a balanced acidity, sweetness, and bitterness, creating a pleasant flavor profile. While tea seems to be popular, the coffee was also a great choice. With only the staff and myself in the store, I was able to enjoy a quiet break. I would like to try their cakes or puddings next time. Thank you for the meal.

My daughter and her husband were coming over, so my wife requested a visit. We arrived at 1:20 pm and most of the items were already sold out. My wife bought a few things and we had them for our 3 o'clock snack. I don't usually eat sweets, but I couldn't resist taking a bite of the blueberry tart... It was delicious! We had a mushroom and bacon quiche for 480 yen, a strawberry cake for 450 yen, and a blueberry tart for 450 yen. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

I always order cakes for events! Oh, I completely forgot about lunch! I went once before and remembered now. Today's daily plate lunch is "Cream Chicken with Black Pepper Flavor, Pumpkin Gratin with Bread." It comes with salad, dessert, and coffee or tea. The chicken and pumpkin gratin were rich and creamy, just the way I like it! The dessert was also delicious with a hint of cinnamon. I will definitely be going back to eat there again! I finished every last bite!

I visited a cafe called "Pomme Meri" in Tomakomai that I had been interested in for a while. They are known for their delicious sweets, but since it was lunchtime and I was hungry, I chose the "daily lunch plate." The daily lunch plate on that day included Inca no Mezame potato gratin, bread, salad, drink, and dessert. The rich and creamy gratin had chunks of Inca no Mezame potatoes and penne pasta! I love Hokkaido potatoes, so it was delicious. The salad was also quite substantial. For dessert, they served ice cream, which was also rich and tasty. I enjoyed a hot coffee after the meal. The daily lunch plate cost 1180 yen, and I was very satisfied. It's a cafe where you can easily dine alone. Next time, I want to go there for their sweets. In front of Pomme Meri, there is a walking path called "Komorebi no Michi," which I really like. It's a walking path parallel to a major bypass road (Futaba Sanjo Street), and even though it's in the city, it gives a sense of Hokkaido. The trees don't have leaves yet, but soon it will be the season of fresh green leaves, and the tall trees will create dappled sunlight.

- 9/30 First Visit - Today, I had a meeting in Tomakomai in the afternoon. After the meeting, I visited this shop nearby that I had been curious about. As I entered the shop, I saw a display case on the left with sweets and cakes. I decided to get some to go... and they were delicious! I got a small cream puff, a "toritori" cream puff, and a strawberry tart. When I got home, I couldn't resist trying the tiny cream puff right away. It was so good! Thank you for the delicious treats!

Next to the soba restaurant I always go to. I had always been curious about it, so I decided to stop by after eating soba. I imagined it might be a sweets or bread shop and entered, and the first thing I saw was the counter in the back. A customer was having lunch alone at the counter. Huh? Can you eat here? A sweets shop? I felt a strange sensation, but I regained my composure (^^;; When I looked to the left, there was a case of sweets and cakes, which made me feel relieved. The staff asked if it was for takeout, so I placed my order. - Mini cream puff: It's so tiny! But it's quite expensive for 70 yen. - Cream butter chiffon cake: As expected of a chiffon cake, it's fluffy. - Adult eclair: This one has a strong brandy aroma (flavor). If you're sensitive to alcohol, even just one bite might make you go "ugh." It feels quite expensive for its small size at 250 yen. - Whole apple pie: It has a whole apple inside. The apple was surprisingly delicious, but as someone who isn't a fan of cinnamon, I found it lacking. I feel like it's expensive for what it is. - Walnut and caramel tart: This one is packed with walnuts! A tart that nut lovers will adore. It's coated in caramel, but my wife wished it didn't have the slightly bitter element in it. It's a sweet with a lot of "homemade feel" in many ways.

This is a salvage article of past photos of the confectionery house "Pommeraie" [August 2013]. The shop was opened in 1991 by the owner who graduated from a confectionery school and underwent training at a confectionery shop. They participate in events such as the Tokachi Local Food Fair and the Umisho Grand Prix. This year, they have also resumed their blog. They hold cooking classes and various other activities. They start offering alcohol and food from 7 p.m., providing various ways to enjoy at different times. Takeout is available, but you can also dine in. The interior has a calm and chic atmosphere. It is like a hidden gem cake izakaya (?) place. Thank you for the meal!

For over 10 years now, I have been visiting a delightful cake shop in Tomakomai that serves delicious homemade cakes and tasty teas. It's a cozy spot that both young and old ladies (in a good way) love to frequent. This unique cake shop offers eat-in options, which is rare in Tomakomai. Recently, I heard about a new concept - a cake izakaya called "Pomme Merry-chan" at night. Curious, I decided to check it out. The menu features gratin, stylish dishes like quiche, and mouth-watering dishes like beef stew. I tried the ginger ale, which was a sophisticated version by Wilkinson. The small shop has a limited menu and drink selection, but it's perfect for those who appreciate its charm. It could be a great hideout for lost ladies (both young and old). Overall, it's a lovely little place to visit! I recommend trying the chiffon cake and mini choux cream. You can also order cakes to go. The chiffon cake is 400 yen, and the recommended matcha flavor is available. The small choux cream puffs are 60 yen each, and you can easily eat 3-4 by yourself, so I usually buy around 20 for takeout. The quiche costs 420 yen and pairs well with beer during the night at Pomme Merry-chan.

I received a gift from my neighbor, which had ice packs inside. My wife took all the baked sweets for herself. The pudding was delicious. Pudding, Florentine, crispy meringue cookies, rice flour macadamia snowballs. Thank you for the feast! (^^)v
