Visited around 7:00 pm on Friday with two people. The restaurant was almost full. Everything was fresh and delicious, making me want to eat as much as I could afford. The owner and the hostess were very friendly, and the atmosphere was great. I definitely want to come back again.

It is a revolving sushi restaurant. I entered around 17:40 on a weekday. I ordered Oolong tea (500 yen), flying fish roe (100 yen), mackerel (200 yen), eel (400 yen), and clam soup (300 yen). The items I ordered arrived one by one. After 18:00, more customers started to come in. Since there was no clam soup, it was replaced with clam soup (400 yen). I paid by credit card. Hmm, the total doesn't seem right? Maybe because the sushi comes in sets of 2 pieces? Oh well. I enjoyed the meal. Thank you.

There wasn't a single bad dish. The charming owner runs a local restaurant with a strong community connection. I will definitely visit again.

It is a small sushi restaurant with 6-7 counter seats and 2 tables in a tatami room that I found near my accommodation in Tomakomai. When we entered around 6:30 pm on a Saturday, the counter seats were already full with locals, so we sat in the tatami area. The space was small, but close enough to the chef at the counter to have a good conversation. We had sashimi, nigiri sushi, assorted tempura, pickled vegetables, and grilled salmon belly that day. Tomakomai is known for its surf clam, which was generously included in the nigiri and pickled dish. The size of the grilled salmon belly was also surprisingly large. The recommended sake by the chef was Kamekichi from Aomori and Kita no Katsu from Hokkaido. Both were delicious, but I preferred Kamekichi. It was a cozy sushi restaurant with attentive service from the cheerful chef. I would love to revisit if I have the chance to go back to Tomakomai.

I visited the restaurant "Ougi Sushi" in the Otowa district of Tomakomai City. The long noren curtain at the entrance caught my attention, and when I opened the door, I was greeted by a bright and welcoming interior. I sat at the counter and ordered a draft beer and a tekka maki. The tuna was fresh and flavorful, with crispy seaweed and a unique diagonal cut presentation. I also tried scallop and botan shrimp, both of which were delicious and served with attention to detail. The chef's close proximity added to the experience. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, although I wish the sushi rice portions were a bit larger. I enjoyed my quick meal and left feeling content.

This is a small sushi restaurant in Oto Town. I often go to Tsuru no Yu, a nearby public bath, and have always wanted to enjoy sushi at the counter after a bath. Unfortunately, this time I visited for the first time after showering at home. When I entered, instead of a loud "Welcome!" I was greeted with a soft-spoken "Welcome" by the gentle owner. The counter is made of unpainted white wood, and I could feel the attention to detail in the sushi case. I ordered two beers with high expectations, but they turned out to be Asahi Super Dry, which I'm not a fan of. I ordered a few sashimi dishes for appetizers, and my wife ordered seasonal leaf-wasabi rolls. My wife said the leaf-wasabi rolls tasted like butter, which I found amusing, and I enjoyed the pickled mackerel. The pickled mackerel was delicious, and I ended up ordering more. The freshness of the soy sauce was excellent, with a crunchy texture different from the supermarket packaged soy sauce. The grilled eel was perfectly cooked, and I enjoyed a cold sake after finishing the disliked Super Dry beer. I tried the premium sushi set, which included herring, gizzard shad, salmon roe, sea urchin, and more. I particularly liked the gizzard shad, which was not listed on the menu or in the sushi case. The trout salmon was also excellent with its refined fat. The tempura was a bit lacking, though. We had four cups of local sake and about five beers, along with additional orders of sushi and appetizers, totaling 1,100 yen. The local sake, such as Midorikawa and Ichinokura Tokubetsu Junmai, was 500 yen per cup. Although not a top-tier restaurant, the food was delicious and fresh. Considering the environment, it was a surprisingly good restaurant. I highly recommend it. Note: I inquired about their lunch hours after reading a review mentioning lunch, but the owner mentioned that they do not operate during lunch hours due to being short-staffed. It's a shame.

A small sushi restaurant located in the once thriving entertainment district of "Onba-cho". The exterior has been renovated to a modern style, but the prices are relatively affordable for delicious sushi. I had the "nama chirashi" for lunch, which was very tasty. Each piece of sushi was incredibly fresh, and it even came with a rare delicacy, "ankimo". This dish was listed on the lantern menu outside, so it is likely one of the specialties of the restaurant. Overall, the "nama chirashi" I had was delicious. This sushi restaurant is definitely worth a visit, especially if you want to sit at the counter and enjoy the experience.
