In December 2022, there is a Boston Bake shop inside the Zabikkuto Higashikari store. They offer a variety of bread at reasonable prices. Personally, I find their large sandwiches very appealing, but they are too big for one person to finish. This time, I tried the red bean paste bun and the onion bacon bread. The breads have a beautiful shape and color, and the red bean paste has a mild sweetness. The onion bacon bread is also delicious with a nice color and plenty of filling. Delicious!

Visited for the first time in November 2022. Located inside the "Togari Shopping Center" developed by Daiwa House, within the budget supermarket "The Big" affiliated with Aeon. "Boston Bake" is a bakery chain mainly in Sapporo, now under the Takahashi group, known for karaoke boxes. The store is not standalone, but has shelves inside the supermarket where you pay at the register. They have a wide selection, and I opted for the "Cream Donut" for a snack, which had delicious custard cream filling. Overall, the pastries were affordable and typical of Boston Bake.

Actually, I use Boston Bake quite often (I usually buy the same bread, but I'm pretty confident that I've tried almost all of the varieties). Recently, Boston Bake has been adding new products like red bean butter French bread, salt bread, mentaiko (spicy cod roe) French bread, mentaiko potato bread, and various others. The other day, I even saw they had rusk... I was curious and thought about buying it... I might try it next time... lol. This year, I discovered that the chocolate coronet is surprisingly delicious. The red bean butter French bread is burnt, so I don't have a picture, but I was impressed that it has butter despite the Boston Bake price (that part). The French bread is a bit soft like milk French bread, with red bean and butter (quite a lot) sandwiched inside, and surprisingly tasty. The basil salt bread looked a bit fancy, so I decided to try it, but it was a bit salty...! It's not a little salty, it's really salty...! lol. I wonder if regular salt bread is also salty... I haven't tried it though. When heated in the microwave, it's fluffy and slightly chewy. When heated in a toaster, the outside is crispy and the inside is moist. I liked the dough type, but it was just too salty... I might buy regular salt bread next time... but I don't want it to be too salty... Oh, they have recently renovated and now have a cashier inside the store.

When it gets hot, the symptoms worsen, and it is a designated rare disease by the government. Unfortunately, there is still no medicine that suits my rare disease. I was hospitalized for rare disease treatment again in April following my hospitalizations in September and January last year. Your supportive comments were a source of energy for me during my hospital stay, and I am truly grateful. I was discharged in May, but during a recent check-up, the doctor mentioned the possibility of another hospitalization. If I do not recover by this month's check-up, the doctor recommends another hospitalization. Due to receiving the COVID vaccine, the planned treatment cannot be done for a month. I inquired with Sapporo City about the vaccine schedule as instructed by the doctor, and it seems that for those aged 65 to 74, it will end in February next year, while those under 64, especially with underlying conditions, will start after March next year. Prime Minister Suga mentioned that those aged 65 and above will be completed by July this year, but it seems that Sapporo has received only a small amount of the COVID vaccine, so it will be delayed by seven months until February next year. In June 2021, I visited "Boston Bake - Higashiganrai Store," a reasonably priced bakery located within "The Big - Higashiganrai Store." The bakery was opened in 2013 by a person who was originally involved in the establishment of "Nordic," a popular bakery. They have steadily increased their number of stores to around 26, mainly in the local Sapporo area. Due to the impact of COVID, they recently transferred the management rights of the company to "Hokuto Shoji," a Sapporo-based company that mainly operates karaoke establishments like "Cats Eye" and "Uta-ya." They also have a base in Abashiri, with companies like "Abashiri Beer" and "Abashiri Bus," and their headquarters are in Abashiri. Initially, their son was supposed to take over the company, but due to the challenging business environment caused by the pandemic, they chose to hand over the business to a management professional considering the employees. I visited the bakery for the first time with my usual companion. The store is located in the Higashiganai area in Higashi Ward, Sapporo, near North 1 Jo and Kanrai Street within "The Big Higashiganrai Store." For the exact location, please check on Tabelog. I visited in the early afternoon on a weekday. Our family loves the sandwich series from Boston Bake because they are affordable. (laughs) I decided to buy sandwiches from the open cooler. I bought two jumbo sandwiches: Potato Ham Weight: 291g (after deducting the bag weight) This jumbo sandwich in the shape of a large French bread has an original feel. The ingredients include potato salad and ham, and the rustic flavor of the French bread's crust goes well with the potato salad. Price: 259 yen (tax included) Egg Ham Weight: 292g (after deducting the bag weight) The ingredients include egg salad, 2 slices of ham, lettuce, and spicy bread, which is cut into 5 sections for easy eating. Price: 195 yen (tax included) Boston Bake offers reasonably priced bread with a decent taste. The sandwiches, in particular, come in a wide variety and are reasonably priced. You can get quite full with just one jumbo sandwich. It's a sandwich that goes well with beer. It's much cheaper and tastier than convenience store bread. I think cost reduction is a company effort. I look forward to the future of Boston Bake. It's a perfect bakery for everyday use for an ordinary person like me. (laughs) I wonder which sandwich I should try next time. On February 20, 2021, at 8:00 am, I revisited Furano during my return home trip and arrived at the opening of the morning to seek out the red bean paste donuts and cream donuts. They were just ordinary donuts. However, for my family, they are irreplaceable treasures. This is because my mother absolutely loves Boston Bake's red bean paste donuts and cream donuts. Since around 2014, when she happened to buy them while staying at our house, my mother has adored these donuts. There was a time when I bought the incredibly delicious red bean paste donuts from the Grand Hotel to bring back, but it seems that my mother prefers this traditional flavor. Looking back, it's like the red bean paste donuts from A Co-op that we used to enjoy during breaks from farm work, sitting under the blue sky. As you age, familiar tastes become even more delicious. When we visit my parents' house, grandpa gets his traditional snacks, grandma gets her red bean paste donuts, and my wife and I enjoy these precious treats.

I was feeling a little hungry, so I decided to stop by. I found this place on Tabelog while browsing. It's not a supermarket I usually go to, so I wouldn't have known about it without checking Tabelog. I love Boston Bake's bread. This time, I bought the "Freshly Made Custard Cream Stick." I went home and tried it right away. I love custard cream, so this was a treat for me. It's more like a snack than bread. I would definitely want to buy it again when I'm nearby. It had been a while since I last visited, and I chose the Mustard Roll and Polineling this time. Among the various options, the Mustard Roll stood out as a simple yet delicious bread that I particularly enjoyed. The affordability of this chain is truly appreciated, and I look forward to visiting their different branches in the future.

I bought two types of sesame bread and a square loaf of bread. The sesame French bread, when lightly toasted, has a nice sesame aroma and texture, and I really like it. The more you chew, the more you can taste the sesame flavor and sweetness. The sesame square loaf, when toasted as well, has a good sesame flavor and texture. Compared to the regular square loaf which is moist and soft, the sesame one has a crunchy and crumbly texture. The square loaf is a common type of bread, but the ones from Boston Bake are affordable and convenient to buy from various locations. Stay tuned for the next review at another Boston Bake!

I happened to pass by this place early in the morning (around 8 o'clock) and decided to stop by. At a little past 8 o'clock, they had a decent variety of bread and most importantly, the prices were surprisingly cheap! I tried the Campani ham and vegetable sandwich (180 yen) on Campani bread, which was generously sized and had a good taste. I also had a curry bread (90 yen) which was unexpectedly delicious. The other bread options looked tasty too, so I definitely want to come back again. Thank you!
