New menu! I was thinking of getting the Massaman curry from CoCo Ichibanya, but when I tried it, it was actually quite delicious. The Massaman Spice Curry is half scrambled eggs and half eggplant, with a spice level of 2. It's a curry with a dominant coconut and cinnamon aroma, sweet yet gradually spicy. It's addictive. The default ingredients include chicken, potatoes, and snow peas. I thought the Spicy Chicken Curry was terrible, but this one is sweet and not bad. I tried the salad set for the first time. Caesar Salad. The salad dressing is too salty because there's too much of it. Haha.

I usually go for the half portion of Rosukatsu curry with spinach, boiled egg, and spicy seafood curry. Lately, I have been trying different options. The cutlet is thin and has a decent amount of meatiness. It's not juicy but you can still feel the texture. I chose level 3 spiciness. Some parts were abnormally spicy due to chunks of spices not fully dissolved. Overall, I think I can handle it. There is a noticeable difference between level 2 and 3 spiciness. I'm really torn on what to do next...

The half pork shabu curry with spinach, half fish fry, and two spicy pork shabu were quite satisfying in terms of portion size. However, the level 2 spiciness was starting to feel a bit lacking... The table chili paste and paying for extra spiciness seem to add a different depth to the heat.

Located in Toyohira 3-9-3-12, Toyohira-ku, Sapporo City, Hokkaido, along National Route 36, is the Curry House CoCo Ichibanya. There is parking space in front of the store. It was a hot Sunday afternoon, and I wasn't feeling particularly hungry, but I was in the mood for curry, so I decided to visit this place. The interior of the restaurant is spacious, with an open kitchen visible from the counter seats. There are also table seats by the windows. I was guided to the counter as a solo diner. Unfortunately, the hand-prepared chicken cutlet was sold out, which was a bit disappointing. As I was contemplating what to order, I came across the limited quantity menu item "THE Beef Curry." It looked delicious, and I was immediately drawn to it. The "THE Beef Curry" priced at 1030 yen arrived after a short wait. It had a deep black color with chunks of beef, giving it the appearance of a genuine European-style curry. The rice portion was a regular size of 300g. The spiciness level was normal. The roasted roux had a rich and deep flavor profile, combining umami, sweetness, and maturity. However, I felt that it lacked a bit of spiciness, so I added some spicy powder provided at the counter. This instantly added a sharp spiciness to the curry. The beef was tender and easy to eat without any tough membranes. The portion was satisfying, and I didn't feel the need to order the double meat option. I also ordered a simple salad for 140 yen, consisting of lettuce, cabbage, and corn. They provided three types of dressings to choose from. Next time, I would like to try the crispy chicken with spinach or something similar.

CoCo Ichibanya Curry House. Familiar. I'm not good with spicy food, but I love curry. I also love soup curry. The thin curry sauce at CoCo Ichibanya may be a matter of taste. I quite like it. With a variety of toppings, you can adjust according to your mood. However, I almost always go for the "Seafood Curry." The base curry is a mild pork curry (you can choose from Pork Curry, Mild Pork Curry, Beef Curry, or CoCo Ichibanya Veggie Curry). You can choose the amount of rice you want (standard is 300g, but I find 200g to be enough). Next, you choose the level of spiciness. Since I opt for the mild pork curry base, I go for mild, but you can pay extra to make it spicier. Additionally, I ask for the sweet sauce that becomes thick and sweet. I pour this honey-infused sweet sauce over the curry to make it just spicy enough for me. I also ordered a lemon lassi to balance out the flavors while enjoying the meal. It was delicious! Used in August 2023.

Spicy Chicken Curry - Level 1 spiciness. It has a strong aroma of sweet cardamom. There are roasted onions which add sweetness even at level 1 spiciness. The ingredients include potatoes, carrots, onions, and chicken. The chicken is like steamed thigh meat. It would have been tastier if the surface was crispy and fragrant. The spices are fragrant, but somehow it feels a bit lacking. Because of the sweetness, it would be better if there was a bit more spiciness or fragrance to balance it out. Of course, it wasn't bad. I finished the whole dish.

I ordered a half pork curry, half spinach, half hamburger, half fish fry with two soft-boiled eggs, 2 spicy and 1 sweet. It was a bit difficult to order, sorry about that. It was delicious as always. I tried adding sweetness for the first time, but maybe it's not really necessary. Maybe 3 spicy and 1 sweet would be better? In that case, I don't mind having no sweetness. There are free sweet sauces, right? Pickled radish used to be free in the past.

At home and work, then travel. Had lunch near the workplace. Found a familiar restaurant while walking around. I used to enjoy eating here a lot back in my university days, but now it's a bit much. I appreciate the consistent service and cleanliness of the place. We were seated at a table and looked at the menu. I wanted to have fried oysters, but it might be too high in calories. I ended up choosing the spicy shrimp stew. My wife ordered spinach curry with medium spiciness. The food arrived quickly. It's been a while. The stew had a hint of shrimp flavor and was delicious. It's really good. It's delicious when you eat it after a long time. The pickled vegetables are tasty too. I tend to eat quite a bit of pickled vegetables. For me, the medium spiciness was just right. I visited for lunch. Every time I come to CoCo Ichibanya, I always order the pork cutlet curry... This time, I ordered the "Handmade Pork Cutlet Curry," "500g Rice," and "Level 3 Spiciness." Curry goes well with cutlets ♫ The crispy coating with the curry is great!! Level 3 spiciness is not too spicy. It's just the right amount of spiciness. I would like to come back to eat again. I visited for lunch. It's been about 3 years since I last came here. This time, I ordered the "Handmade Pork and Chicken Cutlet Curry," "400g of Rice," and "Spiciness Level 2." I feel like I always order the handmade curry at CoCo Ichibanya. But it's so delicious that I can't try different toppings... The pork cutlet and chicken cutlet go well with curry. It's delicious. On my way out, I bought a "Lucky Bag." It came with discount coupons, curry roux, and a bag, so it was a good deal. I want to come back to eat again. Thank you for the meal.

Suddenly, I felt like eating that curry and drove to the restaurant. I had the Natto Curry, 200g, level 1 spiciness. Even though I didn't want to sweat in the heat... I ended up shaking that spicy powder on the table (^。^) It's been a while since I had CoCo Ichi, and it still has that unique texture that feels like a drink, right? Has CoCo Ichi's curry gotten spicier? Did I put too much Tobi-spicy powder? The 200g portion was a bit too much, maybe if they had a 150g option, I could go for a snack time visit... It's still delicious!

I ended up going to "CoCo Ichibanya" again, even though I don't really love it. In front of me, there was "CoCo Ichibanya," and behind me, there was "Lawson." Oh, "CoCo Ichibanya," you national chain curry house that made me stop by. Serve me curry that I find delicious. Always give me tasty curry to eat on this long journey and for this still inexperienced traveler. Today's order: Pork Curry, Soy Meat Menchi Katsu, and 500g of rice. In reality, I didn't just have a bite, I had 500g of rice. The soy meat menchi katsu lacked the meaty texture. Today, I will generously sprinkle the "extra spicy spice" and enjoy it. If you want to increase the spiciness, you have to pay extra, but the "extra spicy spice" is free. After work, I ended up buying the "CoCo Ichibanya supervised Stamina Curry stir-fry sauce" at the supermarket, even though I don't really love it.

Visited on June 13, 2021. I was craving curry so much. Today's temperature is 28 degrees... It feels like midsummer in Hokkaido. On days like this, when my favorite soup curry restaurant is closed due to the pandemic, where else to go but everyone's favorite CoCo Ichibanya Toyohira branch! I was so hungry, so I started with a sausage salad while waiting. By the time I finished the salad, what appeared was the "Seafood Curry" - Rice 500g, Large portion of curry, Level 3 spiciness, Cream croquette, and Crispy chicken. Quite a generous portion. With this, I can keep going strong in the afternoon. Paying 2200 yen at CoCo Ichibanya was a bit overboard, haha.

On 11/4, after eating in Tanukikoji and Susukino for the first time, I headed straight home. However, there was a shop I really wanted to visit, not for myself but for a colleague. It's a curry house called CoCo Ichibanya in Toyohira 3-jo. I like CoCo Ichibanya, but I only decide to eat there a few times a year. This time, I visited because my colleague likes Hinatazaka coasters that were being given out. However, they were already out of coasters when I arrived. Nevertheless, if you spend over 800 yen, the receipt becomes some kind of entry ticket for something, so I thought I could contribute a little! I ordered my usual takeout items: pork curry roux level 5 spicy, beef cutlet, hamburger, and shrimp cutlet. When I got home, I heated them up and enjoyed them. The level 5 spicy curry has a nice kick to it. The thin curry is just right for dipping. The beef cutlet, hamburger, and shrimp cutlet were all delicious. But I always think that the cheap toppings are too expensive. Even if you eat in the restaurant, if you increase the spiciness, the price goes up, easily exceeding 1,000 yen. Well, I still enjoy eating there though. The alcohol was also enjoyable. The campaign is still ongoing, so I might help out one or two more times. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Welcome. ---------- 2019.09 ----------It's difficult to enter from the front entrance along Route 36 in Toyohira area, so the parking in the back is convenient. The spacious interior has counter seats, booth seats, and family-friendly table seats in the back. There are manga available in every store, and everyone is reading while waiting for their food. During the day, young ladies work while speaking in Minomonta's language. From spicy curry to traditional sauce, soup curry with various levels of spiciness and portion sizes, and side menus, the variety is incredibly rich. The Cheese Hamburg Soup Curry with a normal level of spiciness and a large 200g patty that is so plump it looks like it's about to burst is a must-try. The patty is packed with juicy cheese that tastes like the gooey cheese at Gusto...? The soup has a good balance of the sweetness of boiled vegetables in bouillon broth and a spicy kick. The portion includes your favorite pre-meal appetizers like burdock root fries, eggplant, broccoli, diced carrots, cabbage, potatoes, and a half egg. The special spice blend has a cardamom flavor that adds a unique taste, and while it's not very spicy at first, the spices kick in and become very hot all at once. It's so hot that it's a challenge to Tom! As usual, the soup disappears before the food, so the pickled radish is a great accompaniment.

I don't usually eat Chinese food, so I suggested going to Triton for the second round, but my husband insisted on going to Coco Ichibanya because he wanted curry. Lately, I haven't been into soup curry at all (and even less into roux curry), so I never go to curry restaurants alone. On the other hand, my husband really likes curry and often goes to Coco Ichibanya by himself. According to him, "Huh? It's the same curry, but the portion is bigger... Seems like Susukino serves smaller portions..." (My husband often goes to the Coco Ichibanya in Susukino). Well, even if the portion is smaller at the Susukino store, the drunk customers probably wouldn't notice (lol). This is just my husband's personal impression, so it may be different, but here are the dishes we had: - Shabu-shabu curry with spinach topping: Lately, my husband always asks for spinach. Maybe he's starting to care about his health...? The shabu-shabu curry looks delicious. - Chicken cutlet curry with vegetables: Lots of chunky vegetables. The regular Coco Ichibanya curry usually lacks vegetables, so this one really made us feel like we were eating curry. The chicken cutlet was crispy! And it was spicier than I expected... Actually, I go to CoCo Ichibanya once a week, sometimes up to four times a week. I always order the Seafood Curry with Cheese Topping! Occasionally, I'll get the Seafood Double Curry with Cheese Topping, or add cheese and sausage to the Seafood Curry. Those are the only variations I have. I also choose the rice portion, spiciness level, and whether to have salad. Anyway, please try ordering the Seafood Curry with Cheese Topping! (I usually get 400g of rice, level 3 spiciness!)
