There was a banquet and we headed to a restaurant called "Zen" which serves beef sukiyaki and shabu-shabu. It had been many years since I last had beef sukiyaki or shabu-shabu. I usually eat lamb shabu-shabu at home once or twice a month, so I was very excited. We had the all-you-can-drink course, but since I don't drink, I just focused on eating. I didn't even think about taking photos. I started with shabu-shabu, but then moved on to the sukiyaki table. I heard that they use domestic beef for their meat, which has a nice marbling. There was an IH stove on the table for four people. We must have ordered at least 10 plates of meat on that table alone. I didn't stop eating from the beginning until the time limit. I ate too much, but the balance was just right, so it wasn't too heavy. The tender meat with marbling went down well. Although the sushi was small, it was all-you-can-eat. It was a nice break from all the meat. The finale was udon stew. As I get older, I tend to get a stomachache from eating too much meat, but this time, strangely, I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. Maybe it's because of the beef at Zen. Happy ending.

It's been about 4 years since I last visited Zen. It's still cold some days, so I felt like eating something warm. Making a reservation online is convenient and nice! I've been using online reservations a lot lately. I opted for the all-you-can-eat beef shabu-shabu. It had been a while, so I forgot that sushi was included from the start (^o^;) It tastes even better than last time! Two days in a row of sushi (^ω^) lol Now, onto the meat! The beef is high quality and not like your typical all-you-can-eat. It has just the right amount of fat and tastes delicious. I had more refills compared to last time! I even had ramen for dessert. I had miso, while my husband had salt. We finished with strawberry sherbet for dessert. We didn't take up the full time, but we're full. Come to think of it, last time I had both shabu-shabu and sukiyaki! Next time, I might want to have both again. Thank you for the meal!

Once a year treat, this time it was a Hokkaido A4 rank wagyu sukiyaki and shabu-shabu course. I thought the meat would be fatty, but the shabu-shabu was so delicious that I couldn't get enough. The unlimited sushi option has been changed to a 7-piece set, which was disappointing. It was a shame to see the sushi variety reduced, it would have been better to at least allow for refills. Thank you for the feast.

I recently went to Zen for sukiyaki. A friend from Tokyo visited and wanted to eat sukiyaki. I didn't know many places for sukiyaki, but my friend found Zen. It was a new place for me, so I was happy. The atmosphere was formal and nice. We sat at a table instead of a sunken kotatsu. We didn't order too much since we planned to go to another restaurant next. I don't like fatty meat, so we ordered lean meat for two. The staff took care of everything at the beginning, and they were very polite and beautiful, even though they were new. It was still cold in Sapporo that day, and sukiyaki with vegetables and tender meat, mixed with egg, was really delicious. It's the best no matter the season. The taste was consistently good.

Located in a building basement along a street one block north of Tanuki Koji, this shabu-shabu restaurant was where my wife and I decided to have dinner as we were in the mood for some shabu-shabu. The interior had a spacious layout with counter seats, table seats, and raised private seating areas, suitable for groups. The atmosphere was Japanese-style, and the staff wore traditional attire, adding a touch of elegance. We were able to get a table without a reservation as we arrived early, but it seemed like the other seats were fully booked, so I recommend making a reservation if you plan to visit. We ordered the "Select Three Types of Meat Comparison Set (4,800 yen)" from the set menu, which included Hokkaido Wagyu A4 (120g), domestic beef (80g), and herb pork loin from Makarimura (50g), along with a plate of assorted vegetables for shabu-shabu or sukiyaki. The quality of the meat was excellent, and we were satisfied with the taste, but as someone who usually goes for the all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu, the portion size was not enough for me. The all-you-can-eat option seemed like a better deal considering the quality of the meat. The attentive service added to the positive experience, and I would like to revisit for the all-you-can-eat option if I have the chance.

It's getting cold, so it's a great season for hot pot and sukiyaki. The meat, vegetables, and sushi were all delicious, and the staff was very kind. After watching a play and feeling emotionally drained, it was very satisfying and thoroughly enjoyable. I will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Invitation to a New Year's party from an affiliated company. The party includes a total of 6 people, including former employees. It seems to be all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu and sukiyaki, with all-you-can-drink. We started with beer. This beer is delicious! The first beer in a long time was so good that I couldn't help but sigh. For shabu-shabu and sukiyaki, a young female staff member in a kimono sets it up at first. There are plenty of eggs, so you can eat without hesitation. The sukiyaki has a rich flavor, but it's also delicious. For shabu-shabu, the basic dip is ponzu sauce, but it's also recommended to add chili oil to sesame sauce. It's good for a change of taste, but you can probably eat more with ponzu sauce. There are beef and pork for the meat, and the first plate was beef, then another beef, but it was a bit too chewy, so I tried pork next. Even the pork was delicious enough for the locals. For the sushi, it seems that 5 random pieces come out after finishing the first plate. The charming staff members made the atmosphere pleasant, and combined with the delicious food, it was a fun party. Thank you for the feast.

This was my first visit to a banquet in November 2019. Since there were many young people, we opted for an all-you-can-eat and drink course after a long time. I didn't have high expectations for the modern all-you-can-eat and drink style, but when I sat down, beer was brought to me. Of course, the second round was served in a pitcher, and the price was reasonable. This restaurant offered all-you-can-eat sukiyaki, shabu-shabu, and even sushi. The sukiyaki was made with domestic beef and the meat was surprisingly good. On the other hand, the shabu-shabu used local pork. The sushi had a decent variety, which was satisfying for the younger crowd. I probably won't visit this place for everyday dining, but it's a good option for workplace gatherings with a lot of young people.

After a few years, I visited this restaurant again. I remembered it being a slightly high-class establishment, and indeed the atmosphere inside was nice, and the staff were very hospitable. The set menu of all-you-can-eat beef sirloin, pork, and sushi was reasonably priced at 3750 yen. You can upgrade the beef quality, so when you have the budget, you can go for a higher rank. The beef was delicious, but the pork shabu-shabu was exceptional. The sushi was also fresh and tasty. The staff were attentive, quickly removing any empty plates. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal!

On the third day in Hokkaido, I felt like eating some meat after having eaten a lot of Hokkaido seafood. I decided to visit this restaurant. The atmosphere is decent with private rooms available. The service was good, even though the staff seemed like part-timers. The taste was satisfying, with proper Japanese beef served. I think the cost performance is quite good. Overall, if I lived in Sapporo, I would definitely visit this restaurant regularly. Thank you for the meal! ☺️

Let's eat sukiyaki. A junior colleague suggested this restaurant and we came. It's my first time here. I don't eat a lot these days, so all-you-can-eat options aren't that appealing to me, but I like being able to eat hot pot without worrying about the quantity. We chose the "All-You-Can-Eat Domestic Beef" option, including all-you-can-drink. For an additional fee, we could also add shabu-shabu. We decided to have both sukiyaki and shabu-shabu at the same time since we were here. The beer was Premium Malt, very tasty. The first sukiyaki was made by the staff and it was delicious. The meat, especially the domestic beef, was very satisfying. The beef had a nice marbling and the pork was lean and light. The staff were friendly and fun, making it a very enjoyable time. The restaurant was not noisy, and the delicious food and drinks left us satisfied. However, when my junior colleague boasted about treating us and then said he forgot his wallet, I felt like slapping him. I would like to come back again.

Booked a reservation at this affordable restaurant for a sukiyaki revenge. Two young people in their 20s were happily enjoying shabu-shabu in a distant area. Shortly after, another elegant young couple arrived for a sukiyaki date. The spacious sunken kotatsu room only accommodates four groups, and near the entrance, there was also a group of salarymen. The young ladies in kimono attire were very attentive. The restaurant is near Susukino, but the clientele is not bad and the atmosphere is pleasant. It was a shame I couldn't get a reservation at Ishizaki, but my sukiyaki craving was satisfied. The reason it's always moderately busy is because they offer all-you-can-eat options.

This is an izakaya located in the bustling area of Sapporo City. It is conveniently located near a train station, bus stop, and parking lot. This time, I ordered black wagyu beef shabu-shabu and beer, and the meat was juicy and the sauce had a citrusy flavor, which was very satisfying. The alcohol selection was also extensive, not just limited to beer. I highly recommend this place.

I didn't have a course, just ordered individual items. The atmosphere and taste of the restaurant were delicious and highly recommended! The meat was so good that it lifted my spirits just by looking at it. I definitely want to go back again!

The beef sukiyaki, shabu-shabu, and all-you-can-eat sushi for 3,750 yen is a steal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is like a traditional Japanese inn, and the bright staff in kimonos are efficient and provide great service. The meat is surprisingly delicious for the price. It's fun to come with friends who enjoy eating a lot. However, the downside is that it lacks a distinct Hokkaido touch, making it difficult to find the right occasion to visit.
