In late October, I stayed here after taking a plane from Haneda and driving about 20 minutes from New Chitose Airport☆ The purpose was to see the autumn leaves and have a meal at the KinKin Tei on the premises*\(^o^)/* The autumn leaves were at their best and very beautiful!! Deer and squirrels are also nearby~ And this time, I stayed in a cottage in Squirrel Forest♪ You can take a bus from the main building to the cottage, but you can also walk there~ Inside, there is a living room, pantry, balcony, and downstairs, there are two bedrooms, a bathroom, WC, and a closet~ I wonder why the WC and closet are together, I don't really understand it. Before dinner, I went to the bath in the main building~ It was surprisingly normal? The bath was...? No, it felt different~(>_<) It was like a smaller version of a 300 yen public bath that I've never been to but imagined. The sauna was dimly lit and the temperature was low, making it comfortable♪ And finally, the much-awaited dinner! I made a reservation for the "Stay & Forest Izakaya Plan" to have a meal at KinKin Tei, but... it turned out that it was "off-season since last week", so we ended up having a Japanese course meal at the French restaurant in the main building... It's really strange, isn't it (laughs) The meal included: - Appetizer: Chef's special dish - Hassun: Assorted 5 creative seasonal dishes - Sashimi: Fresh sashimi of 5 types of fish and shellfish mainly from Tomakomai area - Nimono: Simmered dish of fish, shellfish, and vegetables - Sumibiyaki: Charcoal-grilled dishes of KinKin fish, Wagyu beef, and seasonal ingredients grilled over binchotan charcoal - Meal: Seasonal mixed rice, pickles, soup - Dessert: Today's dessert by the head chef patissier The live performance by the quartet was wonderful. After the meal, I requested a 60-minute massage in my room, but a male masseur came^^; Apparently, you can also specify a female masseur when making a reservation, so it might be a good idea to mention it if you prefer a female masseur... And when I woke up in the morning and stepped out onto the balcony... I was greeted by a magnificent view!! The autumn leaves were amazing!!\(^o^)/ Normally, meals are served in the restaurant, but since I had informed them in advance, I was able to have a wonderful breakfast on this balcony~!! Luckily, it was a clear day, the air was clean!! Having breakfast in the midst of the autumn leaves was the best!! However... - The wine I ordered was forgotten until I mentioned it again - They were supposed to call back to confirm the massage appointment time, but they didn't, so I had to call them - I would have appreciated a heads up that KinKin Tei was off-season - I felt uncomfortable with a male massage therapist, so I wish they had asked for my preference when making the reservation There were many things that I felt were lacking or could have been better (>_<)
