Sapporo, Sapporo Station area. Located in the underground food court of Daimaru department store, directly connected to JR Sapporo Station, is a specialty shop for "bubuzuke" (tea pickles). "Kyokyo Tsujigahana Daimaru Sapporo Store" is a store that specializes in pickled vegetables, Nishikyo pickles, and bubuzuke, with its main store located in Kawaramachi Sanjo in Kyoto. In Kyoto, tea is referred to as "obubu," hence tea pickles are called "bubuzuke," and there are many specialty shops that serve bubuzuke alongside Kyoto pickles. I love pickled vegetables and tea pickles, so I have visited this shop several times during my trips. You can easily enjoy the taste of Kyoto here at this bubuzuke shop. They sell Kyoto tea pickles, tea pickled sweets, soup-filled sweets, yuzu-flavored Kasuzuke, Nishikyo miso pickles, and more. The packaging design is elegant, with a Kyoto-style charm. It's fun to buy and enjoy them as a treat for yourself or as a gift. In 2015, I tried the following items: Pickled turnip for 410 yen, Red salmon Nishikyo pickles for 410 yen, and Sea bream sesame miso for 410 yen. They were all delicious, and I would love to go back and buy more. In May 2015, I tried pickled turnip for 410 yen, red salmon Nishikyo pickles for 410 yen, and sea bream sesame miso for 410 yen. They were all delicious, and I would love to go back and buy more. In July 2015, I tried pickled turnip for 410 yen, and pickled eggplant for 464 yen. They were both delicious. Pickled eggplant with its crunchy texture and perfect saltiness is a great combination for tea pickles. On hot summer days, a light and refreshing tea pickle dish is recommended, even for those with a low appetite.
