On a day off, after having lunch and dessert, I went to a supermarket in a shopping mall to look for a new product from a certain store. Unfortunately, the store in the mall didn't have it, but as I wandered around, I stumbled upon this place. I was familiar with Poteya, but I noticed they were selling a product called "mochi oyaki" which they were making in-store. I learned that they only sell products that can be cooked in-store, so I must not have seen it at nearby stores. It caught my interest, so I decided to purchase it. They only sold packs of 8, with 4 different flavors (red bean, cream, chocolate, white mochi). I asked the staff to give me 2 of each flavor. I also added soft serve ice cream to my order for something cold. The "mochi oyaki" (red bean, cream, chocolate, white mochi) were bite-sized and easy to eat. The mochi texture of the dough was delicious. The cream and chocolate were tasty, but the combination with the red bean was the best. The white mochi seemed to have rice flour, giving it an even chewier texture. The Silk Soft serve, as the name suggests, had a smooth texture with a vanilla flavor that melted in the mouth. It had a milky sweetness and a strong vanilla aroma, making it delicious. The "mochi oyaki" was quite tasty, and I would definitely go back to buy more. Thank you for the meal.

While wandering around Ion, I stumbled upon something that caught my attention! They were selling chewy dumplings (filled with red bean paste, chocolate, custard) served slightly warm. They don't sell them individually, only in sets of 8. The size is small, like a slightly larger and flatter version of a manju. The texture is chewy and moist, without being dry, and the dough alone is delicious. I wonder if they use rice flour or something similar? The red bean paste is subtly sweet with a hint of bean flavor, which I like. I always thought Poteya was known for Western sweets, but their red bean paste is also delicious. The custard cream is smooth and milky, while the chocolate is not overly sweet but rich and gooey. The white dumpling (with red bean paste) is three times chewier than a regular dumpling (according to the "nochi-mu" scale). I wonder if they use tapioca flour or something similar? They were all delicious, but personally, I preferred the red bean paste. I wonder if they sell these at Ario... I've never seen them there before. I wish they would introduce a hojicha cream flavor or something similar. As for the soft serve, it has a nostalgic sweetness, like Turkish ice cream, with a slightly sticky and firm texture. It's rich and satisfying, but not overwhelmingly sweet. But seriously, the chewy dumplings were so delicious...! I highly recommend trying them. I'm glad I unexpectedly discovered something tasty! Thank you, Wu-ta!

This time, I went to Sapporo for work. After work, I had a reunion with a friend who lives in Sapporo. During that time, I received this local Hokkaido limited edition snack. The combination of banana flavor and chocolate is delicious, right? "Kibana" snacks are all famous and amazing.

I went shopping at AEON Nishioka store and afterwards decided to buy souvenirs at Tsuboya. They had a variety of Western and Japanese sweets, but my companion suggested trying their "oyaki" which they seemed to want to eat. There were 4 flavors available - custard, red bean paste, chocolate, and white mochi oyaki. Since chocolate was sold out, I chose 3 custard, 3 red bean paste, and 2 white mochi oyaki. The custard oyaki had a nostalgic, sweet custard cream filling. The red bean paste oyaki had a nice balance of sweetness and the mochi oyaki had a chewy texture. My personal favorite was the red bean paste oyaki, but my mother who has a sweet tooth enjoyed the mochi oyaki. I might try the chocolate flavor next time since it was sold out this time. Overall, thank you to Tsuboya for the delicious treats!

I went to Nishioka to have some soft serve ice cream before taking a bath. I got a cup of soft serve ice cream for around 300 yen, I think. The cup was clear, which was nice, but the way the soft serve was scooped into it was a bit sloppy! If they use this cup, they should practice a bit more. The taste was light and had a strong milk flavor, but it was smooth and creamy. If they added some sweets from Tsuboya for an extra 50 yen, it would enhance the Tsuboya experience even more. Overall, it was a pleasant treat.

Limited weekend sales of "chigiri mochi." I come here specifically for this, but they often sell out. There are two varieties: mitarashi and sweet red bean paste. Today, I purchased the mitarashi flavor. The soft mochi with plenty of mitarashi sauce is delicious! I also bought a pudding today. It has a soft pudding texture with cream on top. It's convenient because it's nearby. Thank you for the meal.

Located in the Nishioka area of Toyohira Ward, there is a confectionery shop inside AEON Sapporo Nishioka store. I bought some sweets for home as I was shopping at AEON. The shop offers a wide variety of sweets, and you can also enjoy soft serve ice cream. This time, I purchased a few individual sweets such as "dorayaki" and "kika". Overall, the prices were reasonable, and all the sweets were delicious, making it suitable for everyday use.

Snack time. Visited with family. Some thoughts: - Located inside Aeon Nishioka store. - Son got a cream puff, wife got a shortcake, I got a cheesecake. - Cheesecake was more fluffy than moist. - Very delicious.

It's a place in Toyohira Ward, inside the food court on the first floor of AEON Sapporo Nishioka store in Nishioka 3-jo 4-chome. If you're looking for the exact location, as always, please check the map on Tabelog. After enjoying the tonkatsu, as I was walking towards the parking lot, I noticed a flag that caught my attention. My mouth felt a bit greasy, so I decided to check it out. I went to the counter, ordered a "Silk Soft Serve" in a cone, paid quickly, and waited for my order. The soft serve arrived promptly, I took the usual photo, and then looked around for a bench, but couldn't find one. So, I hurried back to my car in the parking lot. The soft serve was quite firm and had a light sweetness to it. I also became interested in the "mochi mochi oyaki" that they bake in the shop, so I would like to try it next time I visit AEON Sapporo Nishioka store.

I don't see many restaurants in Nishioka... do you feel the same way? Despite saying that, I stopped by "Nishioka AEON" after Sunday lunch. It's actually my first time coming here (since it became AEON). I discovered a restaurant called "Tsuboya" that I'm not familiar with... They sell small baked dumplings, which is something new. I bought a box of eight pieces for 430 yen, and you can choose the flavors freely. The mini dumplings are about 5cm in diameter, a bit too much for two people. The flavors include red bean, white bean, chocolate, and custard. The skin is a chewy type with rice flour, and my favorite is the custard, which is smooth and not too sweet. The second favorite is probably the chocolate. The red bean has chunky red bean paste, and the white bean has white bean paste. They are all mildly sweet and easy to eat. This smaller size might be good, even for kids (about the same size as a dorayaki). I look forward to more flavors like matcha or fruit in the future (I have high hopes for Tsuboya)!

In March, on the first Sunday, continuing on... Well, since lunch was a bit lacking, on the way shopping, we decided to stop by this place [Tsuboya Tea's Kitchen AEON Sapporo Nishioka SC store] to purchase seasonal Japanese sweets. As we walked by, we spotted a set of "Sakura Mochi" and "Uguisu Mochi" (440 yen tax included) displayed at the storefront. With Hina Matsuri over and talk of graduation ceremonies in the air, the feeling of being on the cusp of spring is palpable. It seems like around this time every year, I find myself indulging in these kinds of "I can't wait for spring!" seasonal sweets. This time, as we laid eyes on these seasonal Japanese sweets, we just had to get them. "Are we eating something sweet again?!" a voice in my head briefly questioned, but I quickly justified it as a seasonal treat. The package in front of the store contained two pieces each of "Sakura Mochi" and "Uguisu Mochi". The plan was for my wife and I to each have one. Let's head back and brew some tea... On a regular Monday evening, I had to visit the AEON Sapporo Nishioka Shopping Center for a sudden errand related to my Canon EOS 70D camera. The camera had been having issues, so I had arranged for it to be repaired through the electronics store here. Today, I received the news that the repair was complete, so I eagerly went to pick up my beloved camera. Excited, I almost hugged it as I finally reunited with it after over two weeks. As I was about to head home, my companion suggested getting something sweet to eat. We decided to stop by "Tsuboya Tea's Kitchen," a shop we had recently reviewed. The shop was less crowded than usual, so we felt more at ease browsing the displayed items. That's when I noticed the "Zakki Rin" sweets. Apparently, they were created in 1959 to commemorate the Emperor's visit and tree planting. The packaging had been redesigned to feature birds and trees as symbols of nature, and the sweets had been made even softer and more delicious. Without much thought, I picked up the "Strawberry Cream" (140 yen tax included) and my companion chose the "Raisin Cream" (140 yen tax included). Back at home, we couldn't wait to try the "Zakki Rin" sweets. Opening the package revealed buttery cookies with a strawberry jam and buttercream filling. They were light, crispy, and had a perfect balance of flavors. My companion found the raisin version enjoyable, although she felt the cream was a bit too rich for her taste. For a snack priced at around 100 yen, these sweets were surprisingly delicious. The packaging featured illustrations of a "Shijukara" bird for my strawberry flavor and a "Tsugumi" bird for the raisin flavor, both resting on branches of the "Nanakamado" tree, a symbol of Asahikawa residents. It was clear that "Tsuboya" had put effort into offering this special treat. Later, I found out that the raisin flavor my companion had was a seasonal product, with other flavors like "Sakura," "Summer Mandarin," and "Cheese" also available. I would love to try the "Sakura" and "Summer Mandarin" flavors. Today, I unexpectedly found a delightful snack and felt truly happy. Oh, and my EOS 70D was successfully repaired and working perfectly, bringing me even more relief.

Today, I visited Jozankei in the morning, had lunch at a set meal restaurant called Jinbei, and went shopping at AEON Sapporo Nishioka Shopping Center in the afternoon. It feels like my usual daily routine is back. It was hot as usual, and I've been indulging in sweet and cold treats lately. However, at AEON Sapporo Nishioka Shopping Center, there is a lack of places to eat cold desserts. Recently, a new shop called Tsuboya Sweet Kitchen opened, offering "Silk Soft Serve" made with silk powder for a smooth texture. Unfortunately, there is no seating area near the shop, so I had to find a bench outside to enjoy the soft serve. It's a bit inconvenient, and both Tsuboya and AEON should consider providing better dining options. Despite the challenges, the Silk Soft Serve was indeed smooth and had a slightly strong sweetness. It's a welcome addition to the shopping center, but improvements are needed in terms of convenience and service.

I occasionally visit this place because it's convenient, but I wonder if the sweets here are delicious? I have bought them as souvenirs before, but I have never eaten them myself lol. The famous one is "kihana"??? I'll try buying and eating it next time. I have tried the cakes and soft serve ice cream! The roll cake was average! It didn't leave a strong impression. It's delicious though. The soft serve ice cream was also average! It's the typical kind you find at places like Sujata. But it was cheap, and the portion was quite generous. I'm curious about the baked sweets at the back, but every time I go, there are no staff around, and I don't know how to buy them... The old ladies at the cake section seem like they don't care... I want to eat them but I'm too shy to ask lol. Thank you for the meal! ☺︎

▼Location▼ It is located on the 1st floor of AEON Nishioka Shopping Center, at the corner of Mizuyonjichodori and Yangahill Street intersection. ▼About the shop▼ Founded in 1929 in Asahikawa, Tsuboya Sohonten is a long-established confectionery shop. Their long-selling "Tsubo Senbei" from the early days, and recently the popular "Kibana" which has won the gold award at the Monde Selection continuously, has made them a popular confectionery chain not only in Asahikawa but also in Sapporo and other places. Teas Kitchen, in particular, has four stores including this Nishioka store, where they sell products made in-store. ▼Menu▼ They offer a variety of Western confectionery such as Kibana, various Japanese confectionery, and mochi mochi oyaki. ▼What I ate▼ ▽Mochi Mochi Pie 463 yen▽ (June 2015) It is a product that comes in a box of three. It is a moderate size. The outer layer is a slightly moist pie crust with fresh butter kneaded in, giving it a good flavor and texture. Inside, there is a small daifuku with sweet bean paste that is not too sweet. The mochi is not too thick, making it easy to eat, and the combination with the pie crust is quite good. ▼Impression▼ (June 2015) This is a popular confectionery chain in Asahikawa, established in 1929. "Tsubo Senbei" and "Kibana" are their specialties. Some of the four stores, like this Nishioka store, are named Teas Kitchen and sell products made in-store. This Nishioka store used to be Post Full Nishioka store and Hyper Mart Nishioka store in the past. Personally, I really love "Kibana" as one of my favorite Hokkaido souvenirs. However, this time, I tried this Mochi Mochi Pie that caught my eye while shopping at AEON. The taste was somewhat as expected, but it was a simple and quite delicious pie. Next time, I would like to try "Kibana" or the in-store-made rice crackers. I also want to visit Kibana no Mori.

I was a little surprised by the small size of the AEON Nishioka store. I actually went there with the intention of buying some sliced ham offcuts from Caldi Coffee, but when I left with my purchase, I couldn't help but notice a sweets shop across the street. I decided to take a quick look inside and ended up buying some delicious treats like bean daifuku and red bean pound cake. When I got home and tried to open the packaging, I struggled a bit and had to ask for help. Eventually, I managed to open it and found the treats inside. They weren't exactly to my taste, but they were edible. Overall, it was an interesting experience, and I decided to enjoy the treats with some sake.

On June 21, 2015, it was a sunny day and Father's Day fell on a Sunday this year. Even though I had work in the city and was tired, I couldn't ignore Father's Day, so as usual, I decided to gift my father a hat. There is a hat specialty store at Nishioka Aeon along Hitsuji-ga-oka Street, where I bought a new hat. I also bought some mini oyaki snacks from there. The oyaki comes in various flavors like red bean paste, cream, and chocolate, but I chose a simple pack of 8 red bean paste oyaki for 430 yen. I quickly went with my son to give the hat and oyaki to my father, and he was very happy. We all enjoyed the oyaki, which had a soft and slightly sweet red bean paste filling with a cute appearance. It was delicious even when it cooled down. Thank you for the meal!

I bought a pumpkin pudding at DONGURI and as I left the store feeling relieved, I noticed a flashy display at Tsuboya. I decided to take a look. I had already bought pudding and was full from sweets, so I bought some "kika" for tea instead. I wanted to buy traditional Japanese sweets, but for health reasons, I couldn't. I was running late for work, but managed to finish my tasks and head back to the office. I remembered the "kika" and had a tea break. It was my first time buying it for myself, as I usually receive it as a gift. The white chocolate sandwiched inside was not too sweet, with a rich and indescribable deliciousness that made all my fatigue disappear. Next time, I'll try traditional Japanese sweets on the weekend. Thank you for the meal.

When I visited the Aeon Sapporo Nishioka store in July 2014, I found a shop called Tsuboya. Tsuboya Teas Kitchen has a workshop inside where they bake treats like ohagi. I stopped by Tsuboya Teas Kitchen for a bit. This shop is located on the first floor of Aeon Sapporo Nishioka store along Mizuyuji Street in the Nishioka area of Toyohira Ward, Sapporo City. For more details on the exact location of the shop, please check on Tabelog. Tsuboya is an established confectionery shop founded in the fourth year of the Showa era, making it 85 years old this year. Its main store is in Asahikawa, with around 20 stores mainly in Asahikawa. There are about five stores in Sapporo, with one being at Aeon Sapporo Nishioka store. Tsuboya used to have a store near the local Enzan area hospital, but it withdrew about 20 years ago. The soft serve ice cream was quite delicious. Since the closure of the Enzan store, I have had fewer opportunities to visit Tsuboya. Tsuboya mainly offers traditional Japanese sweets and also sells cakes. The famous items are the "Tsubo Senbei" and "Tsubo Man" shaped like pots. With Tsuboya, you can't go wrong with products that have a pot shape. Unfortunately, they did not have soft serve ice cream at this location. I found a new treat called "Mochi Mochi Pie." Although it is sold at Teas Kitchen, it is manufactured at other stores. I bought it. ■ Mochi Mochi Pie The outer layer is a butter-flavored pie crust, while the inside is a daifuku mochi wrapped in red bean paste with mochi. The red bean paste is not too sweet. It has a short shelf life, expiring on the same day. Manufactured at other stores. Price: 3 pieces for 436 yen This treat combines the flavors of Western and Japanese sweets, making it quite enjoyable. A similar treat can be found at the well-established Western confectionery shop, Pearl Mondor. In terms of the pie crust, Pearl Mondor's is better. I hope Tsuboya will open a store in the Enzan area again. In recent years, the number of Western confectionery shops has increased while traditional Japanese confectionery shops have decreased significantly. This makes it harder to find fresh traditional Japanese sweets like namagashi. I hope traditional Japanese confectionery shops will continue to thrive. I wonder which Japanese sweet I should buy next. Thank you for the delicious treat.
