This interesting restaurant serves both seafood izakaya dishes and Korean cuisine. In the summer, they offer incredibly fresh live squid if they have it in stock. The transparent, chewy texture is amazing! The quality of the fish is high and delicious. The Korean dishes like sundubu and chijimi are also tasty. Overall, the food is delicious. If you don't drink too much, the bill will be around 6,000 yen.

During the Obon holiday, I met up with some friends I hadn't seen in a few years and we decided to grab a casual meal together. Since it was a Sunday, some restaurants were crowded, so we ended up at this place last minute. We arrived early, so it wasn't too busy at first, but it quickly filled up with customers. Even though we had originally planned to just have a meal and not drink since most of us had work the next day, the restaurant had a very lively izakaya atmosphere. We ordered a sashimi platter, yakitori platter, and Caesar salad to share. The sashimi was very fresh, especially the tuna toro which was the highlight of the platter. The yakitori was unique with a variety of chicken and pork skewers, and the chicken had a crispy skin with a spicy seasoning. We also tried the dashi rolled omelette and stingray fin, which was a hit among those who had never tried stingray before. Overall, it was a last-minute gathering, but we had a great time catching up and already made plans for the New Year. It was a delicious meal, thank you!

Once again, we cheers at the izakaya called "Mimi" at night. A young man who dropped out of the same high school as me and my daughter's university is working there (laughs). The customers at the next table are also there for horse racing. From the conversation, I found out that they are from Iwate prefecture. This time, my daughter had reserved a seat and a sashimi platter. She says this izakaya in Hakodate is good, but it's not non-smoking, which might not be liked by people on Tabelog. Personally, I didn't feel too bothered by the smoke from others. We toasted with highballs as we had been drinking beer. The snacks were as shown in the picture. There are many staff members, so the drink service is quick. The manager, who seems to have been a troublemaker in the past, also provides good customer service. The young man also came to greet us, but it was a busy time and the place was full, so he quickly went back to the kitchen. The taste of the dishes was all good, although the otoshi (appetizers) were a bit weak in my opinion. My daughter switched from beer to shochu, and I added another highball. We left after about an hour and a half, with the manager seeing us off and having soba noodles as a closing dish. We'll come back again. Thank you for the meal!

I came to Hakodate for a gathering of a certain group. It was my first time here. I wasn't expecting much because the prices at this restaurant are low, but the sashimi was fresh and delicious. Hokkaido is truly different! The service was also good, I highly recommend it.

I had dinner at Mimi tonight. It's an izakaya located in Honmachi, a bustling downtown area. The restaurant opened a few years ago and offers a variety of Japanese and Korean dishes. It's rare to find makgeolli in the all-you-can-drink menu. Despite the crowded restaurant, the staff were considerate and managed to seat us. The manager and staff were efficient and likable. I didn't have any heavy dishes since it was a drinking establishment, but the corn tempura and tamagoyaki were delicious. It's no wonder this place is popular. Thank you for the meal.

From Hakodate Station, we took a taxi to the restaurant. It's my daughter and son-in-law's favorite izakaya in Hakodate recently. They made a reservation and ordered a sashimi platter and live squid, but unfortunately, the live squid was not available. It's a shame, but it can't be helped. They have a wide variety of sake. It's a great place for my dad and daughter who love sake. They had rare sake like Juyondai, Jinmai, Shinsei, and Kokuryu. The price per cup is relatively cheap, I think. I started with Jinmai, while the three of them had beer. Cheers! The restaurant seemed to have a lot of local customers and was quite popular. My daughter said, "This might be the busiest restaurant right now." There were ashtrays on the tables, but the smokers on that day went outside to smoke. The ventilation seemed a bit weak, but the other dishes were great. It would be helpful if the sake menu had indications of the sake's grade. The manager and chef's service was excellent. Hakodate Goryokaku Honcho! I used to live here over ten years ago, but I can't remember what it was like back then. A local from Muroran recommended this cost-effective izakaya. It was busy on a Sunday, so making a reservation is recommended. Since I was with my child, I reserved a small raised tatami seating area. Even though we were running late, they kindly welcomed us after I contacted them in advance, which I appreciated. We ordered a variety of dishes, including seafood and Korean cuisine. The menu is extensive, with a wide selection of sake. I thought there weren't many places like this in Hakodate in the past. Being a coastal city, the cost performance is much better here than in Susukino. Truly Hakodate! The service was friendly and the restaurant was lovely!

On a bustling night in crowded Hakodate, every place was full and turning people away. However, we were lucky to find a restaurant that told us if we could wait for cleanup, we could be seated within 2 hours. They had a live squid tank right at the entrance, and the squid sashimi was incredibly fresh. Everything we tried was delicious. We will definitely make a reservation for our next visit!

On March 15, 2019, a new izakaya opened in Hakodate Honcho. Fresh seafood, Korean cuisine, and a selection of high-quality Japanese sake and shochu made my colleagues and I excited as we visited with three people. As soon as we entered, we saw a tank with fresh seafood such as squid, abalone, and Hokkaido scallops, which were only available for those with reservations. We were lucky to secure the last table, and by the time we left, the restaurant was fully packed except for the counter. The place is incredibly popular. We started with a toast of high-quality Japanese sake! We enjoyed a platter of fresh sashimi, assorted grilled skewers, cheese jeon, and chapchae. We also had tachiten, live surf clam, and hoya sashimi. The Japanese sake we tried were from various regions like Niigata, Kochi, Miyagi, Yamagata, and Akita. The chaser of glass wine was fantastic. My colleagues were also very satisfied. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The squid sashimi was transparent and the texture was firm and tasty. They have a wide variety of sake, which is perfect. I would like to continue using this place in the future.

We opted for the 4000 yen course with all-you-can-drink option, which included a sashimi platter, sweet and spicy chicken, hot pot, and 8 dishes in total. Everything was delicious. For the price, the quality was exceptional, especially in Hakodate. The silver cod marinated in the strongest sauce that we ordered separately was also very tasty, with rich flavors. The staff were very friendly and provided great service. I would definitely want to visit again.
