"Hatago" in Kitami, just the two of us. This year, my wife decided to celebrate her birthday in Asahikawa, and she even took the weekend off for her own birthday. She never takes time off for my birthday, but she said, "Let's have a drink in Kitami the day before." A pre-celebration? Oh well, I booked a hotel. It's been a while since we stayed at Dormy Inn, it was affordable this time. We ended up drinking at three different places, got approached by someone from Kushiro at the third place, and had a great time. When we got back, we ate soba and soaked in the hot spring. I passed out on the bed and accidentally locked my wife out. She had to get a spare key from the front desk. The soba was as good as ever, perfect for a post-drinking meal. The breakfast at Dormy is delicious, although it seems like they have fewer options now. Still, it's a great buffet. Dormy is always a good choice.
