Just made it in before closing time. I ordered my usual noodle dish at Roppongi's Men Bari without even looking. They usually turn down orders for Bari or 135 when the line is long, but luckily they made an exception just before closing (lol). The noodles here are from the same Nishiyama Seimenjo, but at the main store, they serve fresh noodles from the factory. The rich soup paired perfectly with the noodles and rice, making it delicious. Truly a sacred place.

I was surprised by the large number of foreign (Asian) visitors at Susukino Ramen Yokocho. I don't like waiting in line, so I quickly went to visit "Tenho" without queuing. It seems that their soy sauce ramen is famous, but I ordered miso ramen. Personally, I was disappointed by the small amount of bean sprouts, but the soup was rich pork bone broth. Thank you for the meal.

It was worth lining up. My dream of eating miso ramen in Sapporo was fulfilled with the best taste and reasonable price. I felt on top of the world eating ramen at this restaurant, which was featured in a B'z promotional video. Even if you're not a fan, you will definitely be satisfied with the deliciousness and the kindness of the owner.

Visited the original Sapporo Ramen Alley. With limited time, I entered this shop where there was no line and a decent number of customers inside. I passed through the curtain. Simple is best. A carefully made bowl without any pretense, perfectly satisfying the desire of tourists for "miso ramen." Thank you for the meal.

I really like this Ramen Alley, it's one of my favorites. I usually go for soy sauce, but today I decided to try salt. It's delicious! I think it's a taste that I haven't had before. The cloudy soup with the flavor of seaweed is a great combination. The strong seasoning unique to Tenho is also good. In the hot summer, when salt is lost through sweat, it's the perfect season to replenish it with ramen!

Located in Hatono, the original ramen alley, I recently found out that this place is linked to the famous Roppongi restaurant "Tenho," which was a hit during the bubble era with its "drum can soup." The current owner is the third generation, and although there is no drum can outside, the interior has only a few counter seats. You have to order verbally, and of course, I went for the "Shoyu Ramen (900 yen)" without knowing the secret call for first-time visitors (1-3-5) and didn't call it out. The soup had a faint oil film on the surface and the rich soy sauce pork bone broth was quite nostalgic and to my liking. The noodles were classic medium-thick curly noodles from the well-known Sapporo-based Nishiyama Seimen. The toppings were standard with chashu, menma, chopped green onions, and seaweed. Nothing extraordinary, but it was satisfying. The service was a bit lacking, as the owner seemed busy and distracted. Overall, for someone trying it for the first time, it might just seem like a regular rich shoyu ramen, but for me, it was a delicious bowl with a hint of nostalgia. I read that they accept the secret call, so I will definitely revisit and try the 1-3-5 combination. It seems addictive.

When it comes to Sapporo, it's all about ramen! So, I finally visited Ramen Yokocho for the first time. I usually just pass by and go to Miso Ramen Keyaki, but this time I was in the mood for shoyu ramen, so I went to Tenho. I had been curious about it for a while, but never had the chance to go until now. Even late at night, there was quite a line - truly a city that never sleeps, Susukino. I ordered the 135 (firm noodles, extra oil, salty) - the first time I've ordered ramen like this outside of Hakata ramen. Of course, the taste was amazing. After looking it up, I found out there is a branch in Roppongi as well, so I would like to visit there next time. Thank you for the delicious meal! #Hokkaido #Sapporo #Susukino #Ramen #Tenho #Foodie #ShoyuRamen #135

A long-standing ramen shop located in the Ramen Alley in Sapporo. The interior has a nostalgic atmosphere. They offer miso, soy sauce, and salt flavors, but this time I ordered the miso ramen! It may take a little time because they are short-staffed. The soup is made with white miso, which is mild yet flavorful, a classic miso soup. The bean sprouts have a crunchy texture, and the chashu is a bit firm. The noodles and soup complement each other well, creating a well-balanced ramen dish!

Visited the long-established ramen restaurant "Tenho" located in the original ramen alley in Susukino area, Chuo-ku, Sapporo. I arrived around 1:30 pm for Saturday lunchtime to check in early at the hotel for a short trip. The area is crowded at night, but quiet during the day. The interior of the restaurant consists of an L-shaped counter table surrounding the kitchen. I ordered the "Miso Ramen" (900 yen) and the "Soy Sauce Ramen" (900 yen). I chose the miso ramen as a base and shared it with my companion. The miso ramen had a rich and balanced flavor of miso sweetness and saltiness with a strong taste of animal bone broth. It was delicious and nostalgic. The green onions and ginger added a nice accent to the miso flavor. The noodles were medium-thin curly noodles with a sweet and textured egg noodle-like taste. The toppings included thick slices of chashu pork, green onions, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, and flavored egg. The chashu pork had a good thickness and meaty texture. It was delicious! The bean sprouts were a bit scarce, but I personally thought it was just right. The flavored egg had a nice jelly-like semi-soft texture. Whenever I visit Sapporo, I always crave miso ramen. The soy sauce ramen had a soft soup with a soy sauce flavor and a gentle taste of double broth with pork bone and kelp including seafood. It had a unique taste different from other soy sauce ramen. The noodles were gently curly noodles with a good texture. The basic toppings were chashu pork, green onions, bamboo shoots, and seaweed. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

It had been about 2 and a half years since I last came here, so it's been quite a while. I ordered the 135 and rice. The balance between the saltiness and creaminess is just right, with a slightly milder saltiness than usual, but it's exquisite, isn't it? It's delicious. I finished the soup completely. Miso and salt are delicious too, but I recommend eating 135 with rice. 135 is only available with soy sauce. Salt and miso are not available.

I'm in a good mood after having a Genghis Khan meal in Susukino. I'm leaving on the evening flight, so all I have left is to go to New Chitose Airport. I still have some time, so let's finish off properly. There is a ramen alley near Susukino Station. It's always crowded with tourists. Since we have the chance, let's finish off with ramen here. There are several shops in the ramen alley. Among the few shops, we chose this one that my friends were interested in. The shop is small, with only counter seats for about 10 people. Luckily, there was no one else when the previous customer left, so the four of us could sit together. We look at the menu. They have soy sauce, salt, and miso ramen, as well as toppings like butter, buttered corn, and chashu. We decided on miso ramen (900 yen) since Sapporo is known for its miso ramen. The waiting time was about 10 minutes. You can see the chef cooking from the counter seats, so the wait time wasn't a concern. Let's dig in. First, I sip the soup. It's a rich miso-flavored soup. You can taste the miso well, and it's also a bit rich. It has a good punch with garlic. It's a straightforward but delicious soup. The noodles are medium-thick curly noodles. They have a good chewiness. The toppings include chashu, menma, seasoned egg, bean sprouts, and green onions. Grated ginger is placed on top of the chashu, which adds a nice touch when mixed into the miso soup. It was a good basic Sapporo miso ramen. I wonder if I've now used about half of the shops in the ramen alley. I'd like to try and visit all the shops someday.

The counter is located in a ramen alley-like area. I went there on a weekday around 1:30 pm. It was full so I had to wait, but there were no other customers waiting. Lucky! The staff kept a good distance. The menu had options like soy sauce, miso, but I chose soy sauce for 900 yen with thick soup and curly noodles. The noodles were delicious, and it felt like it would warm you up on a freezing day. The staff seemed used to tourists, but there was no unpleasant feeling at all. Thank you for the meal.

Flavor Celebrity Drum Can Soup Tenho Hokkaido Sapporo City Chuo-ku (Susukino) Original Sapporo Ramen Alley. Established in 1974, currently run by the third generation. The Tokyo Roppongi long-loved "Tenho" is a sister store branched off from here and is essentially the main store. The signature menu is the same as Roppongi "Tenho", a soy sauce ramen, with the specialty being the customizable "1-3-5" with firm noodles, rich oil, and salty taste. Only customization available for soy sauce ramen. ✔︎ Butter Ramen (1,100 yen) Since I have tried the soy sauce in Roppongi, I opted for the miso butter ramen. Toppings include bean sprouts, green onions, bamboo shoots, char siu, and half an egg. The Asahikawa-based pork bone and seafood double soup combined with miso create a rich and creamy soup with a slight thickness and sweet taste. The lard does not cover the surface too much, making the taste not too heavy and with a good aftertaste. The noodles are the classic Hokkaido miso ramen, made by "Nishiyama Seimen", with medium-thick twisted egg noodles. The slightly firm cooking is just right, and it mixes well with the creamy soup, with the chewy texture of Nishiyama Seimen complementing the miso flavor perfectly. Topping with butter is great. Gradually melting the butter while eating changes the flavor, making the rich miso soup even richer and more flavorful. It changes quite a bit, so it's best to gradually melt it on one side of the bowl. It has been almost twenty years since my last visit, but it still has the nostalgic feel of a classic and simple bowl. Despite the considerable price increase in recent years, the Butter Ramen at 1,100 yen may feel a bit like a tourist spot price, but it is a delicious miso ramen. Another legendary miso ramen in Sapporo can be found here. Thank you for the meal (^ω^)y//@ Tenhoh®️ (☆3.58)

I shouldn't forget my original intention. I was having a late lunch in Susukino area, where there aren't many lunch ramen options, so I was pondering. I thought I should go here after a long time and ended up at Tenho. It's been a few years, I think? I became a ramen lover by eating their Shoyu Ramen. I realized that I like Asahikawa Ramen, so I have come here multiple times as a finale to my Susukino visits. The chef still looks lively and makes ramen rhythmically. I ordered 135 with firm noodles, strong flavor, and extra oil. I think they only had Shoyu flavor. It's a bit salty when eaten without alcohol, but I can't resist it. Tourists are starting to come back, so it might get crowded again. Thank you for the meal. (-人-)

Miso Ramen for 900 yen at Ramen Yokocho is the perfect way to end your meal. When I entered, I was the only person there, but soon more customers arrived and by the time I left, the place was almost full. I ordered the miso ramen, which had a flavorful broth, curly noodles, probably pork shoulder chashu, menma, bean sprouts, green onions, half-boiled egg, and grated ginger. The ramen was delicious with a good balance of flavors. Mixing in the ginger halfway through added a nice touch! I especially liked the tender chashu.

This was my first visit and the place was packed with customers. I had to wait for a seat before entering. The owner was working alone and seemed a bit brusque, but the cooking was done with care, which I could see from the counter. The food was served relatively quickly. The soup was easy to drink, and the noodles were Asahikawa-style thin noodles. It had more richness compared to other Asahikawa-style ramen I've had recently, but it didn't have a particularly strong impact. I wonder if they serve miso ramen after people have been drinking? I would like to try the miso butter corn ramen next time. Thank you for the meal!

For me, Tenhou was a late-night to early-morning snack. Due to the impact of COVID and aging, I stopped going to Susukino and even when I drink occasionally, my stomach can't handle the after-effects anymore. It's been a while since I last ate, and since I was nearby, I decided to come here for lunch. I ordered the 135 ramen, not sure what the numbers mean, but I remember asking for the soup to be strong, noodles firm, and extra oil. It arrived in less than 5 minutes. The soup was extremely salty and oily, but it had a nostalgic taste that I enjoyed. The noodles quickly absorbed the rich flavor of the soup. Occasionally, I would catch some green onions while eating, which added to the deliciousness. The chashu was tender and tasty, especially when dipped in the soup. I finished it quickly and felt a bit unsatisfied, but overall, it was enough. Unfortunately, it's difficult to finish the soup completely, so once the solid parts were gone, I was done. It had been a while since I had this ramen, and it was a satisfying day. I plan to come back again. Maybe next time, I'll come after getting a bit drunk.

LP Butter Corn Ramen was craving fiercely and came to one of the alleys' ramen shops. It was a Saturday, but we were able to sit smoothly. We purchased Spicy Miso Ramen for 1000 yen and Butter Corn Ramen for 1200 yen at the entrance ticket machine, and took our seats. It seems like the owner is running the shop alone. Along the way, tourists came in, maybe from Korea or Taiwan? It's natural for there to be many tourists in this area, but the owner of this shop doesn't seem to like tourists very much, giving off a cold vibe when they enter (laughs). In fact, the owner was complaining to us about various things. Maybe something bad happened to him. But still, it can't be helped considering the local circumstances, so we enjoyed our meal with the tourists. Yes, this is the true Sapporo miso ramen. The corn is generously packed, making us feel like we got a good deal. The Spicy Miso Ramen wasn't too spicy, more on the mild side. KG might prefer something spicier (laughs). A shop that is working hard in the rapidly changing alley district. Be kind to the tourists, okay? (laughs) Thank you for the meal.

I visited Tenho in Sapporo to try their miso ramen. I ordered the miso ramen for 900 yen. It was a delicious and traditional miso ramen. As a fan of ginger, I enjoyed being able to change the flavor with ginger. It was really tasty! Thank you for the meal ❤︎

Visited after about 8 years, definitely the noodles of Asahikawa, although it is not displayed anywhere. Since there was no ladle on the counter, I ordered without a ladle in advance. As always, I started eating the noodles first, which goes without saying. In recent years, it may seem like a performance to drink the soup first with the ladle, but for me, noodles are the essence, especially the Asahikawa noodles that I love. The low hydration noodles quickly expand, so I always try to eat them quickly while they are delicious. On this day, I finished eating the noodles at 13:07, in about 3 minutes. Then, at 13:10, I finished drinking the soup and completed the meal. I finished eating in a total of 6 minutes, which is my usual average. Actually, in the traditional Asahikawa ramen, the soup is covered with lard and is so hot that it is very difficult to finish in 5 minutes. Even if you are careful, you will inevitably burn your mouth, and the thin skin will peel off. Recently, it is rare to find a restaurant that serves such hot ramen, but in any case, I was happy to eat delicious ramen.
