One weekend, while having lunch and on the move, I finally came across a cafe that I had been curious about but always seemed to miss as it was open. I found a sign saying "open" this time, located on the 2nd floor of a building in Higashi-ku, Kitaku Higashi 4-chome. Surprisingly, they have secured three monthly parking spaces a little further away. Upon entering through a door next to a famous ramen shop and climbing to the 2nd floor, you'll find a cozy cafe space with 5 counter seats and 2 tables. Gentle music plays in the background. I was informed that they only serve drinks at the moment, so I decided to try their recommended "Hot Coffee (500 yen)." The coffee was freshly brewed using a pour-over method, served in an elegant cup. The color was light and the taste was a bit weak, likely due to the fast pouring of hot water. It was suitable as a light post-meal drink. Just when I thought it was a bit small, the owner kindly offered to pour me another cup. Overall, I was glad to finally visit this place that I had been curious about. Thank you for the meal.

Welcome! ┌¬o* * * 2014.08 ↓Located in a slightly commercial area in the Tetsuhigashi district of Higashi-ku, this cafe is tucked away in a corner, with a ramen shop on the first floor and a mysterious poster on the stairs leading up to the second floor. |o|; °д°)ノ|Yuugachon Oh, it's more like a cafe called "Kaze" where the main customers seem to be regulars. The counter is bustling, so I decide to sit at a table in the back. "I can only make light meals, is that okay?" I saw a poster for curry and delicious koshi (noodles) on the stairs, so I thought they were recommending curry and koshi. Let's go with the former. While casually chatting with the regulars, the owner starts cooking. The sound of the microwave heating up is heard. How many times are they going to heat it up? The soothing Showa era music in the room is calming. The regulars gradually gather and start saying, "This koshi is delicious." Probably thinking that the owner's actions are visible through the gaps. Pouring the reheated curry onto the rice... Oops! "Here you go, enjoy!" It's instant curry and rice. Let's add as much fukujinzuke (pickles) as we like. Ah, it's been a while since I've had retort curry. It tastes like this, huh? A bit spicy with a mellow salty taste. The fukujinzuke tastes even better than usual. What was that poster all about? Feeling quite disappointed with the curry, I don't even have the energy to drink the koshi. But the regulars are saying it's delicious, even though they're drunk. Such a laid-back cafe, thank you for the meal.
