I hope you don't have overly high expectations. It's just a little bit better than your average breakfast at a business hotel in Tokyo. For example, they might have mentaiko or Genghis Khan. Maybe the shiokara is better than on the mainland. That's about it. The buffet table is small and it's unclear where to start (is lining up even a thing?). The layout isn't great, so you end up getting meat, yakisoba, salad, and small dishes separately. There are plenty of items, but it's hard to tell what the condiments and sauces are for. The tamagoyaki isn't particularly delicious. Overall, it's slightly better, maybe? Definitely no sashimi. No "Wow, look at this shrimp!" or "Check out this salmon roe!" Either. It would be nice if they offered sumo soup or clam miso soup instead of regular miso soup. If they did that, it would be worth coming all the way to Kushiro. Considering that a business hotel in Yamaguchi serves fugu tempura, maybe Kushiro doesn't have as much seafood catch as you'd think? I haven't looked it up, but maybe Kushiro isn't as much of a port town as I thought. The shiokara is exceptionally delicious though. Hmm, if only they had some sake (bitter smile). When staying at Hotel Paco, I opted for the breakfast included plan because it was affordable. There was a good variety of dishes available for breakfast. I didn't notice the squid sashimi on my first round of getting food, but when I went back for seconds, I found it and was able to enjoy a small portion. It was nice to be able to have sashimi for breakfast. Sometimes at breakfast buffets, when I go to get more food, my table gets cleared, but that didn't happen here. (It's really inconvenient when there are no seats available if it's crowded.)

Unlike a hotel buffet, this business hotel lunch has a small seating area with a traditional Japanese room in the back for families. You first purchase a meal ticket before entering, so make sure to have some change ready. The food consists of a variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, with homemade desserts and prompt refills when dishes run out. There are also beverages like coffee available, making it a relaxing dining experience. When I visited, there was only one type of oyster clam soup, but it was simple yet delicious. Most dishes are homemade and not frozen, showing the effort put into the food. The best part is the friendly and welcoming smiles from all the staff, making you feel appreciated and happy with the service.

The night in Kushiro was a bit restless. I kept waking up, maybe because of the smoking room? I didn't have this problem the previous day, but in the morning, after taking a bath, the smell from the smoking room started bothering me. So, I decided to have breakfast earlier than planned. I handed my ticket to the staff and received a tray. The buffet had a decent variety of dishes. I chose nagaimo instead of natto, but I didn't find it very good. I regretted not choosing natto. It was a bit disappointing, but the rest of the food was fine. Thank you for the meal.

This is the best restaurant in Kushiro, it's actually the breakfast venue at the hotel. The buffet has a wide variety of vegetables, seafood, Genghis Khan (grilled lamb), ingredients for seafood donburi, and a great selection of drinks. The rice is delicious, and you can add as much toppings as you want to the miso soup. The view is also nice, making it a pleasant way to start the morning. It can be a hassle to eat sometimes, especially since it opens at 6:30 am, but if you're leaving early and can't make it in time, you can give your breakfast voucher to someone trying to buy from the ticket machine next door. They always appreciate it, which makes me happy too. The staff changes often, but they are all kind and efficient.
