Cafe experience. The American blend coffee was strong and bitter, which paired well with the sweet bread. The cream on top of the cream bread was slightly crispy while the inside was fluffy, not overly sweet. It was easy to eat with the whipped cream. The other item was a salt bread sandwich with natural cheese, smoked salmon, onions, and lettuce. The slightly firm salt bread balanced well with the salmon and cheese, but lacked a punch. I feel like adding capers would make it better!

On a certain weekday, I suddenly had to adjust my schedule and decided to try something different from my usual choices at McDonald's. Inside the Aeon mall in Toyohira Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaido, there is a bakery called Donguri that is famous for its bread. When I arrived, the place was bustling, but there was still some space in the eat-in area, which was a relief. That day, I had already eaten lunch, but I couldn't just order a drink, so I decided to try something that caught my eye from the menu. I ended up buying the "Goro Goro Apple Cream Pie (330 yen)" which was prominently displayed at the front of the store. The pie was quite large with a thick and well-made crust. As I tasted it, I found a generous amount of soft apple slices inside, along with a light cream layer at the bottom. It was a satisfying treat for apple pie lovers. I also tried the "Fried Bread (99 yen)" which was smaller than the average size, but still decent considering the current circumstances. It had a crispy sugary coating, a hint of oiliness, and a slightly chewy bread texture. Lastly, I had the "American Coffee (230 yen)" which was a simple coffee from a machine. After finishing my meal, I realized that thanks to this impromptu visit, I was able to relax for a while. Thank you for the meal.

I love salted bread, so I am very happy to see the variety of salted bread increasing at Donguri. This time, I bought a type of salted bread that I had never seen before. ★Salted Chicken Lemon 180 yen I love salted lemon, so I bought this. It's refreshing and delicious with lemon. I love salted lemon so much. ★Pumpkin Salted Bread 130 yen A fall-themed variation. Inside, there is pumpkin paste, and the sweet pumpkin paste goes well with the saltiness of the bread. ★Smooth Cream Apple Fromage 160 yen A cute apple-shaped bread filled with stewed apples and lemon-flavored cream cheese. It's my favorite taste. It's cute and delicious, perfect for autumn. Salmon and cream cheese salted bread, crispy chicken salted bread sandwich, and others are also available. These are not my preference, so I passed on them. I have tried red bean paste salted bread and salted bread with ground salt before, so I passed on them. There was also a pumpkin cheesecake limited to the Nishioka store!

Once again, it's Donguri at the Nishioka store. This time they had a donut fair, and they were selling various types of donuts. They always come up with new flavors, which is amazing. I tried the Cream Cheese and Dried Fruit donut last time, but I got tired of it halfway through, so this time I bought the Cheese-filled one! It's delicious even when eaten raw, but when you bake it, it becomes a gooey cheese delight! Cheese-filled is my favorite. They have a variety of salted bread, which makes me happy! Thank you for the meal!

The milk tea salt bread was delicious when warmed up, with a combination of salty, milky, and tea flavors. There was a bit of white cream inside that complemented the salty bread, creating a sweet and salty taste. Donburi-san always introduces new salt bread, which is exciting. The bread with fruits and cheese was also tasty, but I preferred the one with lots of cheese. Both were labeled as "most popular," which caught my attention. Thank you for the meal!

Today, I went shopping at AEON Nishioka store and decided to have lunch there as well. My family enjoyed sweet bread and coffee at the dining area of Donguri Nishioka store, while I went to the food court alone. After finishing my soba lunch, I returned to my family who were still having their lunch, and since it seemed like it would take a while, I decided to browse the store myself. I skipped my favorite fish sandwich as it felt too heavy after soba, and debated between a healthy roll and a salted bread. I left the healthy option to the bean salad and chose the salted bread. (The healthy roll was saved for my daughter's breakfast the next morning.) The dining area had a toaster available, along with perfectly sized aluminum foil. Great service! I used it gratefully. The salted bread from Donguri had a crispy and firm outer layer, with a moist and soft inside that tasted of butter. It was simple yet very delicious. The salad with various beans, including edamame and kidney beans, was healthy and tasty. Donguri's consistent delicious flavors shined through once again. Thank you for the meal!

I will purchase my favorite Fish Sandwich from Donguri-san for breakfast on my day off. Today, I will buy it from the Nishioka store. They have an eat-in space, although I have never used it. There is also a food court at the Aeon mall. Other favorite breakfast options on my day off include the Ham & Cheese Burrito from 7-Eleven, the Crunchy Lettuce Sandwich, the Sausage (Egg) McMuffin from McDonald's, and the Grilled Salmon Belly from FamilyMart. Today, I will add shredded cheese and enjoy it hot after toasting! The shredded cabbage and sliced onions add a nice touch. Adjusting the toasting time so that the bread, cheese, and white fish fry are hot while the cabbage remains cold makes it delicious. Yep, as always, it's delicious. I'll do my best today!

I always end up stopping by DONGURI. I want to eat Stollen, but when asked if I want to pay 700 yen for it, I always hesitate... (laughs) ★ Nori Salt Punch The salt bread here is always something I look forward to trying different variations, and this time it's Nori Salt Punch! The combination of seaweed and salt is a new approach... I ended up buying two of them. It tasted like a snack with the seaweed salt, and it was delicious. ★ Umami France - Cheese Galore Umami France has a variety of options, such as Spinach Cheese, Cheese Galore, Walnut Raisin, Macadamia Cranberry, and Fruit & Cheese. I chose the Cheese Galore, which was filled with cheese as the name suggests. It was delicious whether eaten as is or toasted. I wanted to buy the Fruit & Cheese too, but I decided to save it for next time. ★ Garlic Rusks This time, I wanted something that would last longer, so I bought these. They seem like they would go well with beer. They are crispy and delicious, and I couldn't help but eat too much of them... Off to DONGURI again to discover new breads... Thank you for the meal!

These are the items available at the Don Guri store inside Aeon Nishioka. It's located right by the entrance, so even if you didn't plan on buying anything, you might end up stopping by when you visit Aeon. I will be posting multiple reviews at once.
- German Frank / 270 yen
I love this. The Frankfurter is crispy and underneath it, there's potato salad. It's quite filling, so one is enough to satisfy you.
- Nori Salt Bread / 97 yen
A combination you wouldn't expect - salt bread with seaweed mixed in. The flavor of seaweed and salt goes well together.
- Corner Bread / 118 yen
2 slices of 3cm thick bread for toasting the next morning. Simple and perfect.
- Teritama Chicken Bread / 210 yen
The sweet and salty teriyaki sauce makes even the parts without chicken delicious.
- Pudding / 187 yen
The caramel on top is in jelly form, so it stays clean as you eat. The pudding is just the right consistency, quite to my liking.
- Sakura Daifuku / 162 yen
Both the mochi and red bean paste have a strong cherry blossom flavor. I loved it and kept going back for more, but unfortunately, it was discontinued in June. (Now they have Orange Daifuku available)
I look forward to trying more items in the future.

This is Nishioka, Toyohira Ward. After evacuating from McDonald's due to an emergency, the rain hasn't stopped. As I started walking, the rain became strong again. I took shelter at Aeon. I decided to pass the time and wait for the rain to ease up before heading home. I wondered if Fukuzumi Station was close by. While looking around, I found a donut! Shall I have it at the food court? It looks delicious with plenty of cheese and freshly baked! Three cheese fondue sauce pizza for 259 yen including tax. I will enjoy it at the food court! It is still warm, fluffy, and heavy with lots of cheese. It is soft and stretchy. When you hold it, it feels soft and heavy due to the cheese. The saltiness of the cheese and the fondue sauce are just right and delicious! I have eaten many donuts before, but this one is the best I have ever had. If I come across it again, I would definitely buy it. Thank you for the meal!

On a certain weekday, I stopped by Don Guri at AEON Nishioka for lunch after finishing my meal with some energy to spare. It had been a while since I visited this place, and I was pleased to see that it was quite busy inside but the eating area was spacious. I chose a "Fruit Danish Berry Berry (248 yen)" that caught my eye from the display shelf, along with a cup of coffee. The Fruit Danish had a shiny pastry filled with sliced strawberries and blueberries, topped with a creamy custard that leaned towards a milky taste. It was a delightful treat. The "Plenty of Rum Raisin" had a soft and fluffy bread filled generously with cream and just the right amount of rum-flavored raisins. I finished off with a cup of Americano. Eating at Don Guri always reminds me of their unwavering dedication to quality. Thank you for the meal.

Anyway, this bakery is super popular! The store just opened but it's already crowded. I overheard a conversation between a parent and child at the counter. The child couldn't decide which bread to get, it was like they were in a TV commercial. First, I tried the most popular item, the salt bread (102 yen including tax). It wasn't dry, had a crunchy texture with plenty of salt. It was a bit salty for my taste. I also tried another limited edition bread, the spinach and cheese French bread (248 yen including tax). I was tempted by the cheese-covered one, but I chose the spinach for health reasons. The bread was full of spinach and had a slightly earthy taste. The bread was light with a lot of air bubbles, and tasted delicious when lightly toasted. I would like to try a different bread from a different store next time. Thank you, "Aeon Nishioka Store"!

I've been going to this place countless times, but I never knew... Some types of bread like melon pan and cinnamon rolls can have whipped cream added for an extra 10 yen if you ask the staff before paying. The details are written on the price tag as "Whipped cream available." It feels like a little luxury or a step up. It seems that different items can have whipped cream added depending on the store.

The acorn bread at Donguri Pan is always delicious! This time, I tried the popular items: fish sandwich, kushi zangi, and chocoron noel. I was quite hungry, but the portions were substantial, so I was very satisfied. The zangi was also delicious! Each piece was large, so three pieces filled me up quite a bit. I definitely want to go back!

There are lots of freshly baked bread! It's fun! The service is good! It's lively! When I visited, I found out it's not just a delicious bread shop! It's a concept of a bakery with about 10 stores in Hokkaido. They sell deep-fried breadsticks, about three times the size of the ones at 7-Eleven.

At lunchtime, I quickly went shopping and bought a fish sandwich from Don Guri in Nishioka. Unlike the typical "poki" used in other bento boxes or fish burgers, this white fish fry uses "sablefish" which has no fishy smell and is easy to eat. It has a solid umami flavor, making you feel like you're really eating fish. I felt that it tasted even better when slightly warmed in the microwave or oven, rather than eating it cold. Thank you for the meal.

I came to Toyohira-ku for some errands and decided to stop by Don Guri inside Aeon Nishioka store since I had some free time. I bought a large cream bun for 167 yen, which was bigger than a man's palm. It was heavy but delicious with custard filling all the way to the edges. I also got a mini croissant with sausage inside for 70 yen. The croissant itself was average, but the sausage was tasty and flavorful. Lastly, I tried the chewy takoyaki bread for 86 yen. It may not look fancy, but it's always been my favorite. It tastes just like takoyaki with sauce and bonito flakes, and has a chewy texture. The display at the Nishioka store was organized and easy to navigate. I would love to visit again. Thank you for the delicious food!

Today, I went for the Chicken Tata Taburger. I also had a cream chiffon, cookies and cream bread, taco pon, and mentaiko France. I recently started eating mentaiko France, and it's crispy on the outside, juicy, and has a strong mentaiko mayo flavor. It was even more delicious today because it was freshly baked. Thank you for the meal.

I tried the most popular menu item at Nishioka store, the Chicken Tata Taburger. The chicken inside is incredibly delicious, with a rich flavor and juiciness that is irresistible. I also tried the Mentaiko France for the first time, with a crispy outer layer and a chewy inside. The Mentaiko cream has a rich flavor too! It's true that trying out different varieties leads to new discoveries.

I felt like eating rusks, so I went to buy some and saw a strange device next to the register... Inside, something white was spinning around and it caught my attention. I had to try it! Yogurt smoothie for 250 yen. Is this amount enough??? It was... delicious. It tasted like rich yogurt you would find at a farm, with finely crushed ice. It was sweet, but the acidity of the yogurt was perfect. Wow, this is going to be my go-to from now on. Thank you for the meal.
