This is a souvenir shop that also offers takeout. I visited twice. They sell corn for 300 yen and "Northern Cheese Bow" for 650 yen. In September, I stopped by on my way back from having a meal at Lake Shikotsu because my friend wanted to buy corn. The lady at the shop was grilling corn outside. I prefer boiled corn, so I asked if they had any. She said they didn't because it didn't sell well. I bought a grilled corn instead and ate it at home. It wasn't as good as the one I had 30 years ago in Odori Park. In December, I visited again and wanted to buy sweet potatoes, but they said they only sell cooked items from 12 pm. So, I bought a cheese stick cake instead. It was moist and had a good cheese flavor. It is a product of a company in Asahikawa, with no connection to Lake Shikotsu. They also sell wooden carvings as souvenirs. The staff were friendly.

Whenever I visit Lake Shikotsu, I always make sure to stop by this shop. The grilled corn soaked in fragrant sauce looks incredibly delicious, but I always go for the sweet potato mochi for 300 yen. I really like the soy sauce-based sauce at this shop. The main ingredient, potatoes, are cooked perfectly, and it's just delicious. Now that I've consumed more calories, I'm off to my next destination.

【Takeout】Located in the Lake Shikotsu Onsen area in Chitose City, the shop with the slogan "The Best Tasting Imo Tempura in Japan!" is a souvenir shop and light meal restaurant. Inside the shop, you can find folk crafts and stuffed animals for sale as souvenirs. For the location of the shop, please refer to the first review. On August 30, 2014, around 4 pm, I visited the shop again after a long break due to inserting reviews from different days. I started uploading the Tomakomai cycling edition from March 17th, and finally, this is the end (lol). Had breakfast at Taka Bee and got Yuka-tan in Chitose. At the Lake Utou Road Station, had an early lunch, but gave up on the Hokki Curry restaurant due to the long line. Bought seasoned Jingisukan at two meat shops and visited two cafes. Brought BBQ from a broiler and arrived at Lake Shikotsu after cycling on the cycling road. Cycling time: 4 hours 20 minutes, distance: 99 km, average speed: 22.9 km/h, maximum speed: 46.1 km/h. Despite it being a sunny Saturday, there were few tourists around after 4 pm. There seem to be several popular shops here, but I always come here for the delicious imo mochi even when I don't have much appetite due to fatigue. Bought and ate the imo mochi again today. The balance of potato and mochi is exquisite, unlike fake imo mochi made mainly with flour. The sweet and salty sauce is also perfect. Delicious as always! Feeling energized. Let's do our best to get home. On this day, Mogutan cycled for 6 hours 46 minutes, covering 160.4 km at an average speed of 23.6 km/h and a maximum speed of 56.6 km/h.

[Takeout] Located in the Lake Shikotsu Onsen area in Chitose City, this shop boasts the best sweet potato tempura in Japan! It's a souvenir shop that also serves light meals. Inside the shop, you can find folk crafts and stuffed animals for sale as souvenirs! They also offer products like Yoichi melons and milk, which are guaranteed by local organizations. The shop's name is not certain, so it is currently pending publication. When I visited again on June 7, 2014 at 4 pm, I enjoyed their sweet potato tempura, which was simply delicious. On my way back from Tomakomai City, I stopped by this shop and indulged in their offerings. The soft serve ice cream was tempting, but the weather was too cold for it. Instead, I opted for the sweet potato tempura, which was a treat. The shop is located near a large restaurant on the parking lot side, as it is not listed on the Foodlog map. In my previous visit on June 2, 2014 at 10:30 am, I also tried their soft serve ice cream, which was delightful. The vanilla flavor was my choice, while my companion went for the Yoichi melon flavor. Both were delicious, with the melon flavor tasting just like the fruit itself. The shop also offers a variety of sweets, including cakes, sweet potato tempura, and fried buns. Overall, the sweet potato tempura and soft serve ice cream were both to my liking. I look forward to visiting this shop again to confirm its name.
