I first came here when Lake Akanko was still called Okan, and the town was bustling with Okan. I wonder what happened to those lively Okan from back then? I hope they turned into something good, but I have a bad feeling that they might have turned into chikan. Anyway, it's almost lunchtime, and I have an old man who keeps saying he wants to eat ramen, so I'll go eat ramen with him. But that old man doesn't seem to like me much. My daughter is at a sensitive age, so if I take her with me, she won't come out of her room. "Minshuku Ginrei" seems to be the only place in Akanko that focuses on ramen. There are other places that serve ramen, but on the north side of the hot spring town, right? Or is it the west side? When I entered the restaurant, there was a large table with only one lady sleeping, and it seems like men and women are seated separately, chatting noisily. It's so loud. I sat at this table, which had about 11 seats. There are two 4-person tables connected to create two islands. One island has about 6 people. Is it a grandfather and granddaughter? A married couple? Just two people. I ordered "salt ramen" for 650 yen. The noisy lady got up and started preparing to leave. Good for her. She sat back down and continued chatting. It's a TV. This place is not non-smoking. The smoke is coming from the raised seating area. The lady who was standing and preparing has now sat down. She's even louder now. I felt like hitting her from behind. This lady is now dragging the restaurant lady into the conversation. It got even louder with one more person. I have to endure this noise for over 10 minutes before the ramen arrives. Finally, the ramen came, but it was the noisy lady's, not mine. She still hadn't eaten? Then my ramen arrived. This restaurant smells a bit. The ramen that came also smells a bit. The noodles are thin and white. I imagined it to be similar to Kushiro ramen, but I shouldn't compare them. They might get angry. It's just normal, but it's good, right? Is the seaweed roasted? The bamboo shoots have a slightly seasoned taste, but they also have a hint of refrigerator smell. The green onions are not cut, so that's good. Oh, the raised seating area is drinking. The chashu is thick and delicious. The naruto is floating in the soup, which is slightly cloudy and salty. I can't quite figure out the flavor of the broth, but it seems to be chicken-based. It's just normally delicious. The ramen was a bit smelly, thanks to the noisy lady and her smoking companion. That was lunch in Akanko.
