Office workers have limited lunch options, but there was a weekday drinking party at the Otaru Beer Garden. Located between the Nijo Market and Tanukikoji 1-chome in the Sousei River Tanuki Nijo Square. It was crowded with many guests arriving and leaving. There was light rain on and off. This beer garden seems to only serve Otaru craft beer, not the usual major beers. My colleague recommended the cherry beer, so I chose that for my first drink. Oh, it's not very cold. It has a nice sweetness and depth, yet refreshing and delicious. The price is not too high for a craft beer, which is good. Enjoying it while planning where to go for the second round. Ah, I want to skip work tomorrow. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. I'll come again!

Even the locals were surprised by the unusually humid weather this year. Feeling tired from walking, I took a break and enjoyed a glass of Otaru Beer's Dunkel. It had a rich flavor but was refreshing and delicious. My throat was dry, so even though it was a medium size, I quickly finished it and happily moved on to the next place.

In Sapporo, when it comes to summer, the beer garden at Odori Park is popular, but it ends during the Obon period. This place by the Toyohira River is open for a little longer, so you can enjoy the last remnants of summer. They only serve craft beer, not the big four brands. You can also try Otaru beer, which is part of the Bikkuri Donkey chain. Craft beer is more about savoring, so some people may not like that it's not ice cold. It's reasonably priced at 700 yen for a 500ml glass, compared to other craft beers. Why does beer taste so much better when you drink it outside?

The location is at Sapporo City, Chuo Ward, Minami 3 Jo Nishi 1, Soseigawa Park, Tanuki Nijo Square, between Nijo Market and Tanuki Koji 1-chome. Otaru Beer's Pilsner, also known at Bikkuri Donkey, is delicious! They also have Cherry Beer, Weiss Beer, rich Dunkel, Schwarzbier, and other tasty beers. The staff is friendly and provides great service, allowing customers to enjoy the refreshing feeling of drinking outside. It was mentioned that the last day of the season is August 19th.

Craft beer of various kinds is available. I enjoyed drinking a large mug while incorporating it into my workout routine. It's a great way to decorate the cool summer nights in Sapporo. The specialty is roasted young chicken. You can see that it is carefully roasted. Here, the focus is not on the food, but on enjoying the beer. It was a relaxing experience as I visited on a quiet weekday when the crowd was not too busy. The energetic young staff were fun to chat with. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

This is our second beer garden visit this season with three people. Compared to last year, we have been going out for drinks more often, but it seems like I've become weaker with beer... I haven't even gone for a second drink this time. However, there are sweet beers available from Otaru Beer that I surprisingly enjoy. So, see you again next year!

The Otaru Beer Tanuki Nijo Beer Garden is currently being held in 2019. This summer has been quite hot and humid, so even the cold beer may not have tasted as good. I had planned to visit last month, but it was canceled due to rain. Finally made it this time! I don't drink much beer, but I started with a Pilsner toast. Otaru beer tends to be a bit bitter. I preferred the light and sweet strawberry beer I had at the Otaru Warehouse, but unfortunately they didn't have it here. Instead, I enjoyed the Radler with lemonade. The food was simple, with yakisoba, karaage, sweet potato, German potato, and yakitori. My picky companion only ate hamon serrano (prosciutto) and was shocked by the price later. I still have some tickets left, so I can use them however I want.

It is a beer garden at Sousei River Otaru Beer Biaga. It was a ticket system, but during the day, it seems like the waitstaff are not selling tickets, so purchasing tickets takes some time. It might be better if the waitstaff sold tickets during the day for faster turnover. The system where you can order drinks and food from your smartphone and have them brought to your table is convenient. The service of bringing items to your table was not too slow. It would be even more convenient if you could also purchase tickets from your smartphone. There were various flavors of beer to enjoy. The food sometimes looked different from the photos, but the taste was good. There were many rich flavors, perhaps intentionally to make the beer more enjoyable?

On this day, a beer garden opened in Odori Park in the cold heavy rain. While Odori Park is dominated by major brands, a beer garden featuring Otaru beer (craft beer) made near Sapporo started in the square in front of Nijo Market. The customers were sparse, but there were prefab seats with roofs so you could drink even in the rain. When you order, they bring you the beer poured with an umbrella. I ordered a pilsner. Overall, the taste was strong and bitter, with a satisfying flavor that made it enjoyable to drink even in the rain. I thought American beer wouldn't be like this. Although the event may have ended by the time this review is posted, I believe it will be held again next year, and there are also places where you can try this beer, so I wanted to share my experience.

The Sapporo Summer Festival in 2019 (from July 19th to August 17th) has started a beer garden in the Tanuki Nijo Square in the Nakajima Park, in conjunction with the beer garden on the Odori Avenue venue. I love "Otaru Beer"! I want to drink a lot, but the S size (300ml) for 500 yen is a bit expensive. However, for all the beer lovers out there, there is a super happy service available. Twice a day, from 12:00 to 14:00 (last order at 15:30) and from 17:00 to 21:00 (last order at 20:30), there is a limited offer for the first 50 people to enjoy all-you-can-drink! There are 15 different drinks available for all-you-can-drink inside the venue, making it an extremely great deal. There are also plenty of delicious food menu options available, so even if you want to eat, you can do so with peace of mind. Unfortunately, it started raining halfway through, so we had to leave after about 8 cups of S size. However, next time, I will aim for a sunny day and enjoy a full hour of delicious beer. Thank you, "Otaru Beer"!

It's a bit of an old story, but I went to a beer garden. They had various German beers. I can't remember which one was the most delicious, but I wanted to record it... Oh, the pretzel was delicious (*゚∀゚*)

■ Beer Garden The other day, I visited Toyohirakan as mentioned in the article (I went to the nostalgic record appreciation event at Toyohirakan (It was quite good)), but the true purpose of that day was the beer garden. In the summer, beer gardens are held in various places, but for over a decade since coming to Sapporo, I don't have a clear memory of going to one. This summer is unusually hot, and being at home is boring, so I decided to finally give it a try this year. ■ Otaru Beer Beer Garden Beer gardens are held in various places. Initially, I was thinking of going to the one held at Odori Park, but it seems that they also have a Otaru Beer beer garden at Sousei River Park (http://otarubeer.com/jp/archives/7394). They serve authentic German beer, and the menu seems unique and interesting, so I decided to start by going there. ■ System I walked from Nakajima Park, sweating, and finally arrived! Now, how do you order food and beer? It seems that you first need to purchase tickets. After that, you can order food from the attendant once you are seated, and for beer, you can either order it along with the food or directly at the shop next to the ticket counter. The menu looks like this. Hmm, looks delicious! ■ Food and Drinks First, I ordered a Radler, which is beer mixed with lemonade. After that, I looked for a seat. The weather was unusually good that day, meaning it was hot. The humidity wasn't high, so it wasn't too bad when in the shade, but it was still hot. I managed to secure a seat by the river to seek some coolness. But, it was still hot. Although there was a tent, so it wasn't directly under the sun, the edges were still hot. I ended up moving towards the center of the tent. Now, for food, I ordered the roast chicken plate. I wanted to try a variety of things. It was quite delicious. The low alcohol content was also nice. Since it was a beer garden, I wanted to try a few different beers. Next, I tried the Waldmeister. And I ordered some more food. Currywurst and Jamon Serrano. In the end, it looked like this. ■ Clean-up There was a return slot next to the shop to return the beer mugs. Plates and such could be thrown in the trash bin in the same place. I had prepared a plastic bag (for trash) in my bag just in case, but I didn't need to use it. ■ Afterword As always, I went alone. I'm not good with group activities due to my personality, and I get uneasy when with others, so I wanted to enjoy it slowly by myself. Well, I don't dislike drinking with others, but I'm not good at small talk, so it's hard to keep the conversation going or I feel bad for the other person... If you think I might get bored alone, well, recently there's the convenience of smartphones, so I enjoyed my beer while reading online novels. I was a bit skeptical at first, but it seemed to suit my personality, and I surprisingly had a good time. By the way, I chose to go during the day rather than at night because I anticipated fewer people. I had gone at night before, but it was too crowded and I felt overwhelmed and ended up not doing anything and going home. Taking that into consideration, I thought it would be better to go at a time when there were fewer people, almost at the same time as the event started. This attempt was successful, as there were quite good seats available and I had the leisure to understand the system slowly. Yeah, I enjoyed it more than I thought, so maybe next time I'll go to the beer garden at Odori Park?

Daitsu Beer Garden will also end on August 15th... It's a bit sad not to have participated even once, so before it ends, we will visit Otaru Beer at Sousei River Park with two people... The time is a little after 4 pm in the evening... Asahi, Kirin, and other venues tend to fill up quickly from early hours, making it difficult to find a seat, but this venue is only about half full. We ordered Curry Bratwurst for 600 yen, Pilsner (M) for 600 yen, and Weiss (M) for 600 yen. The Bratwurst is a soft, fresh white sausage that is not smoked, with a mild seasoning of curry sauce flavor. It is served with French fries sprinkled with curry powder. The Pilsner is the most commercially available type of beer here, easy to drink and gulp down. The Weiss (also known as Weizenbeer) is slightly cloudy, rich, and has a good depth of flavor, a beer that you want to savor slowly. The first thing I thought when I tasted the beer was the temperature... The serving temperature is not too cold, making the taste clear and deep. I apologize to those who like ice-cold beer, but I think good beer tastes better this way.

Beer gardens are essential during the short summer in Sapporo, aren't they? I lined up under the scorching sun to secure a spot for the 4-hour all-you-can-drink beer session starting at 12 o'clock, limited to the first 25 people (2,200 yen). However, my companion didn't show up. Probably got held up with something. You need to be present at the venue together, otherwise it's invalid. Luckily, we made it just in time with only 3 spots left (*^^)v We sat in a sheltered hut where the sun didn't reach and enjoyed sipping on Pilsner beer. I ordered a bit of Oolong tea as a chaser from time to time. It was a perfect beer garden day with clear skies and a gentle breeze in Sapporo. The snacks included a platter of homemade German-style sausages, pretzels, and roast beef. The sausages here are really delicious, a favorite of Totoro♪ We drank to our hearts' content until the time limit of 4 o'clock, bidding farewell to my companion with a promise to meet again next year. I will be attending a long all-you-can-drink event at the Otaru Beer (Otaru Warehouse No. 1) on August 25th from 12 o'clock. Anyone interested in joining me is welcome! (#^.^#)

I regret not knowing about this super high cost-performance all-you-can-drink beer garden! The day session is limited to the first 25 people, and the night session is limited to the first 50 people, both offering 4 hours of all-you-can-drink for only 2,200 yen including tax?! They serve delicious Otaru beer, so there's no reason not to go, right?! This time, I focused on trying all the varieties, so I drank in a small size glass, but next time I want to carefully select my favorites and enjoy them in a large size glass. I can't wait to go again soon! Thank you, Otaru Beer!

I came to the beer garden again! I have been using this place for the past few years. I like the beer on the main street, but it's crowded, small, and the toilets are a hassle. Plus, it's far from Susukino. But here, it's so much more comfortable! The seats are spacious, it's moderately crowded, and the toilets are clean right in front of you. And the best part is that Susukino is right nearby. Also, they have a limited first-come, first-served all-you-can-drink option, which is great. And this year, they introduced something called an up server, where the beer is poured from the bottom of the cup. I tried it with one cup of Sapporo beer.
