"I'm alone in Asahikawa at 'Tachinomi En to Kagura Honten' and I think it's about time to start drinking soon. I was driving by and happened to come across this place, which I had been wanting to visit. However, I ended up arriving quite late, even though I had planned to start drinking in line with the opening hours of this place. No matter how many times I pass by, I can't remember the name of the place. It's located right near the Michi-no-Eki (roadside station). It's a standing bar, right? The noren curtain is not hanging, so are they not open? I was worried, but then I noticed a small electronic display board with 'OPEN' written on it. Upon closer inspection, I saw 'From 4:00 PM' written on the wall. Their regular holiday is on Tuesdays, so fortunately they are open. I'm not particularly interested in standing bars, but it seemed interesting, so I decided to go in.
Upon entering the restaurant, I was surprised to find that there was no standing space. It's a normal restaurant with counter seats that are comfortable to sit on, without backrests. There are about 7 L-shaped counter seats and one table with chairs in a raised area. There are also three tables - for 2, 3, and 4 people. There is a TV, and it's 6:00 PM on a Saturday, but I'm the only one here. It seems like they are struggling, but it's none of my business. I ordered a beer for 500 yen, and I plan to have two and then leave. It's my first drink of the day, so I feel a bit sensitive.
I ordered the 'Yabai Chicken Gizzards for 450 yen' and the 'Fried Pork Skewer for 250 yen'. The Yabai Chicken Gizzards arrived quickly, and they were served straight from the refrigerator. I tasted it, and it was delicious, with a creative touch. It's quite chunky. It's not too raw, but it's not fully cooked either. I ordered a second beer. The fried pork skewer seemed to be fried too much, but the color was just right. The onions were also fried to perfection. The meat was properly fried, but the frozen meat felt a bit dry. It's not particularly delicious. There are two small fans on the counter, but they don't provide any coolness. I'm sweating, unlike the master who is wearing only an undershirt. I'm still wearing a three-quarter sleeve shirt, a hat, and a scarf. I don't care if people laugh at me; it's my policy.
It seems like it's better to leave this place, which feels like a endurance contest. The next customer was an incredibly beautiful woman. This is Asahikawa after all, but I won't approach her just because she's nearby. I won't even invite her to the next place. I'm just an ordinary person. The lady paid her bill pretending to be drunk, but I won't do such things. I feel like it's better to leave this place, which seems like a endurance contest. The only customers seem to be locals, as expected given the location. It seems that they get quite a few customers from outside the area who come to the Michi-no-Eki. 'There aren't many places around here where you can drink,' she said. That's true, Kagura is not a place you see often. It's kind of in between the city and the outskirts. Maybe normal people think it's far away? I don't feel that it's far away even without a car. A taxi ride wouldn't cost more than 1000 yen, right? I would even walk. 1750 yen? Well, it's a straightforward calculation. It's including consumption tax. That's a very good point. 'Thank you for the meal.'"
