On a certain weekday, I visited a small cafe located at 1-cho, Higashi 20-jo Kita, in Higashi Ward. Since there was no parking lot, I had to ask the staff for nearby coin parking options, and they informed me that Round One had an agreement for parking, which was a relief. The entrance to the cafe is a bit hidden on a narrow street next to a supported employment shop, so it took me a while to find it. The building itself is an old, large house-like structure, and upon entering, I found an open space with a few simple tables and caster chairs, giving it a unique handmade feel with interesting wallpapers. The background music playing was songs by Miyuki Nakajima. From the menu, I chose the "Soup Curry" lunch set, which was said to be ready quickly. The coffee cup arrived with a pitcher of milk for self-service, which was a nice touch. When the meal was served, I was surprised by the large portion size. The soup had a thick consistency and a good balance of sweet and sour flavors, with a hint of spiciness from garlic and ginger. It was quite spicy, similar to a moderately spicy dish from an average restaurant, so I didn't need to add the homemade chili powder provided. The soup was filled with pumpkin, okra, broccoli, potatoes, carrots, boiled eggs, and three large pieces of chicken breast, which was impressive. The rice was served on a flat plate, and although it was a bit firm, it complemented the soup curry well. I finished the meal with the remaining coffee. At the time of payment, they kindly offered me a tamago sandwich and fried sweet potatoes as a gift, which were both delicious. Overall, the cozy atmosphere of the cafe reminded me of a friend's mother's home, and I had a pleasant dining experience. Thank you for the meal.
