It's nice to have daikon mochi available. The xiaolongbao is priced at 480 yen for 3 pieces, and you can eat it crunchy. The skin is thick, but the filling is juicy and quite delicious. They sell 60cc of sake for 260 yen, so you can enjoy a variety of options. I might try to visit all the different locations.

I ordered an omelette, but it tasted burnt, and when I flipped it over, it was completely black. I informed the staff, but they just said the heat was too high. I couldn't eat it, so it was disappointing. The dumplings were good, but there are better restaurants out there, so I won't be going back.

During these times, many izakayas are offering lunch service. I had never been to this place before, so I decided to stop by on my way back from errands. Since I rarely visit in the evenings, I appreciate the lunch service. When I arrived around noon, the restaurant was not crowded. I chose a seat at a table with a sunken kotatsu, which felt luxurious. I found my favorite dish, lu rou fan, on the menu. Every menu item comes with gyoza, and you can choose between pan-fried or boiled gyoza. I ordered the pan-fried gyoza. Unlike other places where a drink is included with lunch, here it had to be ordered separately, which was a bit disappointing. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes. The meal included lu rou fan, soup, gyoza, and pickled vegetables. I started with the lu rou fan, which had a sweet and savory flavor from the pork belly. It was delicious and went well with the rice. The pan-fried gyoza was crispy on the outside, and the filling was tasty. The side of chicken and pickled vegetables complemented the meal, making it perfect for enjoying with drinks. The egg soup was gentle and comforting. I'm glad to see more places offering lu rou fan. While the pan-fried gyoza was great, I'm curious about trying the boiled gyoza too. The tantanmen and mapo tofu also look delicious. If I can come back during lunch hours, I would like to try the tantanmen or mapo tofu.

Lunchtime wandering journey~ I was drawn in by the lunch sign and ended up sitting at the counter. I couldn't decide between Braised Pork Rice or Dan Dan Noodles. I chose Braised Pork Rice with 3 dumplings. I was the first customer, followed by two more. Exciting! The Braised Pork Rice came with half a soft-boiled egg, pickled mustard greens, egg drop soup, and 3 dumplings with pickled vegetables. The pickled vegetables were delicious. The Braised Pork Rice was slightly sweet and went well with the pickled mustard greens. The surprising thing was the size of the dumplings! They were huge and there were 3 of them, very satisfying. Oh, by the way, they moved from Tanukikoji Street. Was it because of adult circumstances? It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

I visited Abaaba-san's restaurant. The place was very crowded and fully booked, but after a short wait, we were seated right away. We sat at a table on a raised platform with a sunken floor. We started with the plum kimchi and seasoned seaweed appetizers. The sweetness of the plum paired well with the spiciness of the kimchi, and the seaweed added even more deliciousness. Perfect for snacking! We also had the drooling chicken and assorted spring rolls. Everything was delicious, especially the assorted spring rolls with its generous filling and rich flavor. The crispy skin provided a satisfying crunch. Our main purpose was to try the soup dumplings and dumplings. The soup dumplings came in a set of 3, but since there were two of us, they explained that we could add one more for 200 yen, so we did. This thoughtful gesture was much appreciated. Both dishes were juicy and delicious, but the dumplings left a lasting impression on me. For drinks, we had Calpis sour in a large frosty mug, which was also delicious. Overall, we were very satisfied.

Hello everyone! Don't you want to drink beer with dim sum? And wouldn't it be great to enjoy plenty of meat dishes too? Let's kill two birds with one stone and go with friends to "Taishu Shokudo Niku to Tenshin Suezou Abaaba" in Susukino, Toyosui. It's quite a walk from the Toyosui station, but it's worth it! It's right next to the newly opened Chinese restaurant on September 2nd. We were seated in a raised tatami seating area and enjoyed a 100-minute all-you-can-drink deal for 1500 yen (excluding tax) with beer. The appetizer of sliced chicken and pickled vegetables was delicious. However, to our surprise, there were no meat dishes on the menu at all, only dim sum options. It seems they have narrowed down their menu due to the impact of the pandemic. Despite our disappointment, we decided to enjoy the dim sum dishes. We ordered dumplings, spring rolls, xiaolongbao, saliva chicken, fried chicken, stir-fried greens, egg and wood ear mushroom stir-fry, avocado and wood ear mushroom salad, and minced meat fried rice. The saliva chicken was tender with a good balance of sauce acidity. The thick coating of the fried chicken didn't stand out until we added the sauce, making it delicious. Unfortunately, the dumplings were not good, lacking juiciness in the filling. The large spring rolls had a similar sweet and savory filling as the dumplings. The stir-fried greens lacked garlic and punch. The minced meat fried rice was similar to the fillings of the dumplings and spring rolls. The highlight of the meal was the egg and wood ear mushroom dish, which we really enjoyed. There was a big poster advertising the neighboring Chinese restaurant inside the restaurant, and it seems they may be focusing more on that in the future. Overall, it was an interesting experience. There are 12 types of dim sum, all handmade from scratch starting with the dough. The main chef seems to be a person named Chon. Due to the current situation, they are open for lunch and offer takeout and dine-in options. If you were born in the year 1979, you get a 100 yen discount (for dinner). Tom was born in 1979, so what a coincidence! If you're into daytime drinking, it's a bit cheaper. Ah, I'm a classic hopeless case (= ´∀´)ノ凵゛Today's daily special was sweet and sour pork set meal. It looked like a school lunch tray, but the sweet and sour pork was delicious. It was deep-fried with a crispy coating, yet tender inside. The egg soup was thickened without cornstarch, perfectly seasoned with salt. I can't wait to go to Taiwan (Taipei's night market) next year...

"Ababa" has moved from Tanukikoji and now operates as a meat and dim sum restaurant. I passed by the front of the restaurant during lunch hours, so I decided to stop by. There are tables where you take off your shoes and sit down in the front, and counter seats in the back. For lunch, you can choose from Chinese set meals or spicy curry. I ordered the "Two kinds of curry combo (900 yen)" from the spicy curry menu. It was ready in about 10 minutes. The combo includes half portions of "Bone-in chicken curry" and "Japanese-style Keema curry". The bone-in chicken curry had a pretty spicy flavor, while the Japanese-style Keema curry was more mild and easy to eat. I preferred the bone-in chicken curry, so I wish there was more of it. I also found the mapo tofu from the Chinese set meal menu interesting, so I would like to try it for takeout if I have the chance.

Located between Odori and Tanukikoji, this restaurant was almost full when we arrived without a reservation. Luckily, we managed to get a table, but we noticed that they were turning away guests without reservations. It seems like making a reservation is a must when coming here. We started with a toast with beer and then ordered chicken with pickled vegetables, meat dumplings, dim sum, spicy dim sum, and pan-fried dumplings. The chicken with pickled vegetables arrived quickly, while the rest took about 15 minutes. The dim sum was juicy and flavorful, exceeding our expectations. The spicy dim sum was quite hot, so those who are not fond of spicy food should be careful. All the dishes were delicious, which I believe is why this place is so popular. They also offer a wide variety of drinks, popular among women as we noticed many groups of women enjoying their time here.

In February 2020, we visited the popular dining spot "Niku to Tenshin Suezou Abaaba" with three middle-aged colleagues from work who were starting to notice body odor in the canteen. Surprisingly, there were quite a few women there too! We decided to have a party and ordered Taiwanese water dumplings, pan-fried dumplings, braised pork rice, delicious fried chicken, meat shumai, and scrambled eggs with mushrooms in oyster sauce. The Taiwanese water dumplings were so delicious that we couldn't believe how good they were. The pan-fried dumplings were also great. The scrambled eggs with mushrooms in oyster sauce made us crave for more rice. Everything was delicious! The only downside was that the restroom was only on the second floor, so we had to climb stairs every time. Definitely worth a revisit!

I went to the shop I was interested in, Aba Aba. Personally, I prefer dumplings over xiaolongbao. The dish of lamb meat cooked at low temperature was very delicious and refreshing. It's a crowded shop, so if the timing is right, it's definitely a place I want to visit again.

I wasn't very hungry last time, so this time I visited the restaurant with a big appetite. Stir-fried Taiwanese vegetables: 650 yen, tasty with a strong garlic flavor. Taiwanese boiled dumplings: 480 yen, goes well with the thick sauce. Pan-fried dumplings: 480 yen, delicious but would be better with vinegar. White intestines and skirt meat: 110 yen each, the intestines were slightly smelly. Five ingredients spring rolls: 380 yen, safe choice and tasty. Sesame balls: 150 yen, average. Overall, the food was delicious and cheap, but lacked a standout factor. However, the hot pot for the banquet looked appetizing. Thank you for the meal.

I had been trying to visit this restaurant since its opening day, but it was always fully booked. Finally, I was able to make a reservation online and visited the restaurant with great anticipation. There were customers being turned away at the entrance one after another. I tried the handmade tripe kimchi for 480 yen, which had plenty of tripe and was slightly spicy, perfect with ponzu sake. The Taiwanese-style steamed dumplings for 480 yen had a chewy skin and were made without any artificial seasonings. The shrimp steamed dumplings for 480 yen also had a chewy skin and plump shrimp filling. The baked char siu bao bun for 480 yen had a slightly sweet skin, which I didn't particularly like as a fan of spicy food. It was quite filling. The mapo tofu for around 500 yen (a signature dish) was a Sichuan-style mapo tofu, spicy and very delicious. It was around 5:30 PM, so my stomach capacity was not at its best. I wish I could have tried the ramen as well. The restaurant also had a wide selection of affordable sake. It's clear that making a reservation is a must. Thank you for the meal.

After moving, Suezou Abaaba was even more bustling and amazing! I had seen the sign on Tanuki Koji Shopping Street before the move and was curious about Abaaba. It was always crowded, so I made a reservation just in time! When I entered, I was even more surprised to see that I was the only male customer! I pretended to be calm and looked at the menu, which had a good selection of Chinese dishes, yakitori, and meat dishes. When I looked at the sake menu, there were more types than at a sake-focused restaurant! I ordered a yakitori assortment, meat sashimi, xiaolongbao, and sesame oil-marinated oysters. The yakitori was decent, the meat sashimi was skillfully cooked at a low temperature, the xiaolongbao was delicious, but the oysters were honestly a bit disappointing. They had a good selection of sake, including Uguisu Shousei Seishun, which I liked. However, I wish they had more options like Junmai Ginjo, namazake, or daiginjo based on the food menu. Considering the balance of the menu in terms of taste and price, I can see why it's popular with women. I feel like the restaurant will be even busier towards the end of the year.

I'm on Tanuki Koji Street. I'm not sure if I came with someone or went alone. I remember what I ate though...σ(^_^;) Judging from my order, I must have been alone. I ordered the Manrei special junmai unpasteurized sake for 250 yen! I really like this one! If I find it, I'll definitely have a drink. It's a sake from Saga. It's slightly sweet but has a crispness and depth to it that makes it delicious. It's just the right amount for my carb-restricted rehab! LOL For the appetizer, I had udon...(^-^; I had a single serving of udon with toppings. It was firm and tasty udon. If they serve this as an appetizer, wouldn't everyone be full already? As a side, I ordered the half-cooked smoked egg for 380 yen and the Taiwanese xiaolongbao for 480 yen. The smoked egg was a bit overcooked but had a nice aroma and was delicious, and the xiaolongbao was piping hot with juicy meat filling! I tried various types of sake in small amounts, it's a good place for sampling and casual drinking! I really liked it, but I was alone, right? LOL Thank you for the meal^_^

I thought it was the previous Suezou-san's place, but it was actually the one next to it. I left Tanukikoji Street and went around in a circle. We used it for a party. We took off our shoes. It was packed. There were partitions, but the open layout allowed us to see the lively and bustling atmosphere inside. The all-you-can-drink course included beer and hops. Beer was an additional charge. The tomato liquor was really delicious. The homemade motsu kimchi was tasty. It had motsu in it, which was unusual. The pickled mushrooms and cucumbers were refreshing. I was surprised to see mushrooms in pickles. The Taiwan water dumplings had a strong flavor. I like that taste. The daikon mochi was fragrant and delicious. It didn't have any oily smell, and it was tasty. The five-ingredient spring rolls were long and looked impressive. The Taiwan xiao long bao were bite-sized. I placed them on a spoon to eat. They were small, so they didn't have a lot of meat juice, just a little bit. They were very light, so ginger and vinegar soy sauce were recommended. The tantan motsu hot pot and the finishing tantan noodles were a big hit. It was rich but had plenty of minced meat, with a mild taste. They said the numbness was free, so we asked for it, and they brought a huge object to our table and ground it for us. It was exciting. There was plenty of motsu in it too. Later, we added soup, put in the noodles, and also had tantan noodles. It was delicious. The salted steamed buns were tasty in my opinion, but some girls said they were too salty. I also enjoyed the dim sum from Suezou-san, which was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Today finally opened at 17:00♪ I had heard in advance that there is a 3-day festival where you can get a glass of draft beer for only 100 yen starting today. But it seems that reservations are already full for the next week, so it's too late to get in on the 100 yen festival♪ If you really want to, you can still manage it after 9:00 PM, so give it a try, haha♪ As for me, I had a reservation for 21:00 at Totoron (^^; Totoron isn't a big fan of beer, you know (゚Д゚;) I really wanted to go with friends who love beer, but Totoron doesn't have any friends... (´;ω;`)ウッ... So, Totoron decided to drink alone♪ However, while I was adjusting the time at the previous shop, I got a message asking where I was, so I ended up meeting here. First, I ordered the draft beer and the grilled gyoza and beef tongue sashimi that I had my eye on (^^)/ Beef tongue sashimi for 600 yen: It's the typical low-temperature cooking type, haha Grilled gyoza (5 pieces) for 480 yen: The gyoza is delicious with plenty of meat juice! The seasoning is also well done, so you might be fine with just chili oil (laughs) It's big, so it's satisfying to eat. I recommend it!! I also ordered the charcoal-grilled offal skewers for 110 yen each (all). Pork cheek: It's the pig's head♪ I love this (^^♪ The texture of the pork fat clinging in your mouth is something you won't understand if you don't like it, haha Akahorumon (red offal), shirohorumon (white offal): Both have a fluffy texture!! The 100 yen beer was delicious, but I ended up with just one glass, and finished with mega water and oolong tea♪ Well, should I go for the all-you-can-drink party course or just have a quick drink and eat and go home? I went to this restaurant right after it opened. It was very popular, and I finally got a reservation after booking two weeks in advance. They have a good selection of drinks and you can enjoy a variety of international dishes. Honestly, the Taiwanese soup dumplings I was looking forward to were just average, but the coriander salad here is incredibly delicious. It's an Italian-style salad with coriander that even people who don't like coriander would find easy to eat. I would like to go back again and enjoy the food at a more leisurely pace.
