I entered the Seven Cafe with the intention of purchasing a drink. Beside the drip machine, there was a bento corner. As I touched the button displayed on the machine, I noticed the words "New Soba". Without being able to resist, I found myself holding it and taking it to the register. I also ordered a coffee and headed to my car. The package mentioned that it was made with buckwheat flour from Hokkaido, which made me excited. Upon opening it, I found the soba noodles stuck together, which I loosened with the included broth. I usually check for excess water, but this time I poured the water over the soba myself. The amount of soba was quite generous. As I slurped it, I realized that the broth was on the saltier side. It's amazing how convenient things have become nowadays, making traditional soba shops in town shed tears. However, it's impressive how those shops manage to offer soba for under 500 yen.
