《2022.09.23OPEN》《Sat/Sun/Hol 14:00- Limited》◆Gyoza Festival【90min/1,800yen】A new gyoza restaurant affiliated with Gyoza-kan and Gyoza-en has opened on Odori Avenue! With the ESTA branch closing next summer, it's truly a blessing to have this new place in town. While they offer a variety of set meals, the highlight here is definitely the all-you-can-eat gyoza♪ You start with 2 servings of gyoza (10 pieces), then enjoy unlimited pan-fried gyoza (per person), rice, miso soup, and pickles for 90 minutes! However, there's a penalty of 90 yen per piece for any gyoza left uneaten over 5 pieces. The gyoza with chewy skin, juicy filling, and crispy bottoms were delicious as always. I personally prefer the gyoza from the Sapporo-style dim sum restaurants. I devoured 50 pieces using the chili oil and vinegar on the table. So tasty! Although I didn't try it this time, their set meal menu looks tempting too (see images)! Especially the ◆Assorted Dim Sum Set Meal【980yen】 looks incredibly delicious. They also offer gyoza without leeks or garlic (not included in the Gyoza Festival), making it suitable for regular dining. Overall, a great new addition to the dining scene!

Iran Kara Pute. ---------- 2023.06 ----------South 1 West 4, facing south, along the main road, was it not "Zangi Ichiban" before? |o| °д°)ノ|Yu Gachon Dim Sum shop, a stylish space preferred by ladies, with a layout of counters and tables surprisingly more spacious than before, a polite hall, and it seems narrow in the kitchen, with a chef in a white coat? I don't know if the lunch and dinner menus are different, but around 1:30, I was able to relax without getting caught up in the busy office workers around. The set meal is reasonable, so I'll have a drink. "Mega Highball" is strong because it's pumped from the beginning, so strong~~~(= ´∀´)ノ凵゛It's a good deal, but it's too strong for Tom, so I added some "Pepsi." I tried the "Assorted Dim Sum Set Meal" - dumplings (with garlic), juicy and juicy, fried dumplings (very juicy and garlicky), spring rolls (with plenty of filling and gooey), delicious curry zangi (spicy), small and not too spicy. All the dim sum dishes are well-seasoned and don't need any condiments on the table (except for Tom). I ate rice, miso soup with enoki mushrooms, and pickles. The chili oil is delicious at first, but then it's too spicy for Tom. Since Esta is closed, this place is precious. The "all-you-can-eat dumplings" seems to be always available. The words on the wall are ====

After 10 pm, it's hard to find a place open, especially during the pandemic. I finally found this place near Tanuki Koji. Even though I thought they wouldn't have it at this hour, I asked about their limited edition dish - and they had it! I ordered the Curry Zangi for 750 yen, and it was delicious. The zangi was curry-flavored, and the portion was huge. I left feeling satisfied!

Dessert Sapporo Mix Set. Around Nishi 5-chome. It was a bit of an off-peak time, so only one customer ahead of me. But then more and more people started coming in. Must be popular. I ordered a set of 3 dumplings and zangi. The dumplings had garlic and chives, while the zangi was not spicy. Despite being the only customer initially, I had to wait a bit for my order to arrive. The dumplings were good, but nothing special. The zangi was delicious with a curry flavor and was hot. It was also tasty to dip the dumplings in the sauce. Thank you for the meal. I was able to use PayPay.

Located right near Daitsu Station, the Nishi 4-chome bus stop is even closer. I decided to drop in for lunch. Since it's a dumpling restaurant, I ordered the dumpling set meal. They seem to have quite a variety of other menu items as well. There's even a dumpling all-you-can-eat challenge available. For the dumpling set meal, you can choose between 5 or 8 dumplings, and they confirm whether you want garlic and chives added. It's convenient for those working since you can choose not to have them added. The dumplings were just right, tasting like the kind of dumplings that Japanese people imagine, delicious. It's a perfect lunch option. On a side note, the door is light and makes a loud noise every time it closes. It startles me every time, haha.

The curry zangi was delicious and the gyoza was average. Next time, I want to try the zangi set meal. The water was lukewarm and the table was dirty. The staff seemed to have limited knowledge. However, the food was tasty and the staff seemed friendly, so I think the restaurant will improve in the future.

They serve dumplings, curry, and curry-flavored fried chicken at this restaurant. I arrived right when they opened, so I was able to get a seat on the sofa in the back. I brought my child with me, and they provided separate plates and children's spoons and forks. The plate had Anpanman on it, which made my son, a big Anpanman fan, very happy!笑

This shop, which opened in September in Nishi 4-chome, Minami 1-jo, offers gyoza and curry zangi as their specialties. You can enjoy them as a set meal or as a snack with drinks. When I visited on a Saturday afternoon around 2 pm, the place was almost full with people having set meals and drinking. I ordered a Sapporo Classic (medium size) for 580 yen. There was no appetizer for lunch service, but you can choose gyoza in sets of 3 or 5, and curry zangi in sets of 3 or 6. I ordered the Garlic Oil Gyoza (3 pieces) for 360 yen, the Green Onion Miso Gyoza (3 pieces) for 360 yen, and the Curry Zangi (3 pieces) for 390 yen. You can choose between "spicy" and "mild" for the curry zangi. The dishes arrived one after another. The Garlic Oil Gyoza was crispy with garlic chips and spicy oil, perfect with beer. The Green Onion Miso Gyoza was supposed to have special miso sauce and green onions, but I noticed there were no green onions after eating one. The Curry Zangi was crispy and tasty, but not as spicy as expected. For my second drink, I had a Bali King (1 Bali) for 380 yen. Some customers were leaving after paying, while others were coming in. They were informing customers that the last order is at 2:30 pm. I remember when they first opened, they used to have continuous service on weekends and holidays. Looking at the shop card, I saw that now they also serve lunch until 3 pm on weekends and holidays (last order at 2:30 pm). It's a shame to turn away customers who want to have a leisurely lunch. Maybe they assume people coming in are expecting continuous service. But seriously, where are the green onions? (laughs)

The review for a restaurant in Sapporo:
Continuing with the reviews for 2022, I visited a restaurant located a little south from the streetcar street in Odori Park area, which I had been curious about every time I passed by. The restaurant has a narrow entrance and a deep interior with counter seats and table seats. Since the restaurant recommends their pan-fried dumplings and curry zangi, I ordered the "Dim Sum Sapporo Mix Set Meal (3 each) for 900 yen" which includes both. It was ready in about 10 minutes. The dumplings had a chewy skin and a juicy filling, but I found the taste slightly strong as I prefer lighter dumplings. The curry zangi was not too big in size, had a crispy texture, and the curry flavor was not too strong. Both the dumplings and zangi were delicious, but I felt the price was a bit high for the portion size. They also offer all-you-can-eat dumplings, so it might be good for when you want to eat a lot of dumplings.

Today, it rained in the morning and the sun came out, typical autumn weather. I happened to be out when the sun was shining, so I didn't have an umbrella. When I went outside to go back, it started raining. Oh no! I decided to take shelter from the rain while having lunch nearby. I had a set meal of grilled dumplings. The dumplings were just what I was craving. The filling had a nice flavor, and the juices from the meat were overflowing. These dumplings would be perfect for a casual drink as well.

Recently opened shop. It seems to specialize in gyoza and curry zangi. There are 8 lunch menu options, and I ordered the mixed set for 900 yen, which includes gyoza and curry zangi. It took a bit of time for the food to be served. There were 3 pieces each of gyoza and curry zangi. I chose gyoza without leeks and garlic. The skin had some color and was chewy. When I bit into it, meat juice came out, but the filling also spilled out. The gyoza sauce was strong on vinegar. The curry zangi were small, 3 pieces. I chose the spicy flavor. The surface was crispy and the inside was juicy. They were small, so there wasn't much to chew on. Instead of pickles, there was kinpira burdock. The miso soup had enoki mushrooms and seaweed. The rice seemed to not be freshly cooked. (October 2022)

A new dim sum restaurant opened on the main street! I found it after my maintenance, it's right here! I decided to go in right away. Even though it was past 6 PM, I was the first customer? I was seated at the counter and saw that you could choose between 5 or 3 dumplings! A great choice for dumpling lovers! I already know the taste of regular dumplings and curry dumplings, so I ordered: Ginger pork dumplings (3 pieces) for 300 yen, the skin was yellow and the ginger flavor was just right. Miso sauce water dumplings (3 pieces) for 330 yen, the miso sauce was delicious. I think I prefer the pan-fried dumplings. I also ordered two Sapporo Classics for 1160 yen, I like to taste a little bit of everything. The complimentary appetizer was the same as the other dim sum restaurant, bamboo shoots! I enjoyed it with the original spicy oil. The dinner set was popular among men, while the women were enjoying drinks. I really like this place! I may have been a bit biased towards the 3 dumplings. Thank you for the meal!

The other day I visited a newly opened restaurant. It seems to be a chain store, but it was my first time visiting this one. They had garlic chive-free dumplings on the lunch menu, so I decided to have lunch there! To be honest, it was neither good nor bad. The dumplings were not crispy and the presentation was mediocre. Also, without garlic chives, the dumplings felt too light. I regret not choosing dumplings with garlic chives since I was having curry-flavored zangi. The zangi curry was quite delicious. Additionally, the self-service water station did not have hand sanitizer. It was not crowded when I visited, but the seating at the counter was close together, which might be a bit concerning during the pandemic. I think things might improve as the staff gets more experienced since the restaurant is newly opened. I plan to visit again in about a month! By the way, they currently only accept cash and credit card payments.

Established in 1978, "Tenshin Sapporo Co., Ltd." is a popular Chinese restaurant company that operates "Gyoza-kan" and "Gyoza-en" near Sapporo Station. In 2014, it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of "Matsuo Co., Ltd.," a food and beverage company based in Takikawa known for the "Matsuo Genghis Khan" brand. Recently, Matsuo has been expanding its presence in Tokyo (Shibuya, Akihabara, etc.) and actively engaging in mergers and acquisitions, gradually growing as a company. On September 23, 2022, the "Gyoza and Curry Zangi Restaurant Tenshin Sapporo Odori Branch" opened facing west on Minami 1-jo Nishi 4-chome. The narrow entrance leads to a spacious interior with a counter seating for 7, 7 tables for 4 people each, a kitchen staff of 2, and a floor staff of 2. The young staff members are still learning the ropes, with a few customers already seated and more coming in for a casual lunch and drinks. Orders are taken for the "Tenshin Sapporo Mix Set Meal @900" and the "White Soup Gyoza Set Meal @800" (both with small rice portions), which are served in about 8 minutes. The White Soup Gyoza features large, thick-skinned dumplings with a tender texture, while the mild soup complements them well. The Tenshin Sapporo Mix Set Meal includes pan-fried dumplings and spicy curry zangi, with the latter offering a balance of heat and flavor. The accompanying salad of cabbage and red cabbage with a mini tomato on a bed of mayo adds a surprising touch. Overall, the food is satisfying, although the value for money may vary.

Today, I opened in the rain. I had a misunderstanding. I thought it was a curry zangi restaurant, but it's actually a gyoza and curry zangi restaurant. So no matter how much I looked at the menu, there was no curry (sweat). It was actually curry zangi (laughs). The zangi is spicy and a bit hot, so if you're not a fan of spicy food, you can ask for a milder version. The meat dumplings were a bit sticky but delicious. The spring rolls were fried to perfection. As for the pan-fried dumplings, they didn't have much seasoning, so I enjoyed them with the sauce. All the dishes were delicious, but the spicy curry zangi was the most memorable.

The flowers for the grand opening are amazing!! There are 7 seats at the counter, and more in the back, maybe 6 tables?? We ordered hot water soup, boiled dumplings, shrimp dumplings, and pan-fried dumplings, all in sets of 3 and 5, but we chose all sets of 3. You can choose between garlic and chives, which are marked on the menu. The dumplings are too perfectly shaped, lacking in softness, and feel a bit sharp in texture. They are big and not bad in taste, but they all feel the same. I wish I could have ordered just one instead of three. The staff were kind, offering us water with a smile and covering the lack of handmade feel with their warmth and kindness. They have all-you-can-eat dumplings on weekends from 2 pm, including rice, miso soup, and pickles for 1800 yen! Check the details for more information! They also have appetizers and drinks, and I'm curious about the Zakuchiki. So, maybe don't order 3 dumplings. That's the story. Thank you for the meal!!!

Mixed Zangi Set Meal ¥1,000. It was okay. It was decently tasty. The curry zangi was a little bit tastier.

I enjoyed it. I think it would be even better if it were a little juicier.

I went to a new dumpling restaurant for the first time and the food was simply delicious. They even had an all-you-can-eat option, so I want to challenge it next time.
