We were seated on the first floor, but there are also seats available on the second floor, more than we expected from the exterior. As it is a chain, the basic menu is the same as other locations. For lunch, we ordered the "Delicious Single Sandwich (620 yen)" with a set of "Coffee (350 yen)". The Delicious Single Sandwich allows you to choose from 6 fillings and whether you want it as a hot press or regular sandwich. This time, we tried the "Camembert Cheese and Spicy Egg Potato" as a hot press. It was ready in about 10 minutes. The hot press had a crispy outer texture and was filled with plenty of hot ingredients, making it satisfying and delicious. The set coffee, likely a blend, had a mild acidity and a refreshing taste, making it easy to drink. The prices were reasonable, and the quiet and calm atmosphere inside the cafe is perfect for relaxing and enjoying a leisurely time.

I visited this cafe for a quick break when I was nearby. The interior had the typical Sapporo Coffee House atmosphere, with a slightly dim lighting and a calming ambiance. I ordered an iced coffee and a plain waffle. The waffle was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which was delicious. The butter on top didn't melt much, so it could have been served a bit hotter. However, it didn't really affect my overall satisfaction. Maple syrup was also provided, so I could add flavor to the plain waffle. The portion size was good, and I felt satisfied after finishing it. It was delicious. Since it's quite easy to visit, I think I will come back again.

After that, the stone warehouse was used as a rental facility and was later renovated into a cafe named "Sawada Coffee Shop" in 1992. Since 2011, it has been used as the current "Sapporo Coffee Kan". [Visited in early July 2022] The restaurant is located in a large warehouse-like building in a nondescript area in the middle of the building. I visited for breakfast. French Toast 440 yen Iced Coffee 275 yen Morning Set Price I ordered the French Toast without realizing it was coffee-flavored, but I ended up enjoying it as the orange flavor was refreshing. The Iced Coffee was strong with a refined bitterness and a hint of acidity that was very delicious. I would like to revisit to try the hot coffee! It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Cafe with parking in front of the Hiranai Station, a 3-minute walk away. It opens at 9 am, which is early for this area. I was looking for a cafe that was not crowded early in the morning, so I stopped by. I worked on my laptop while sipping on a coffee. I can't really describe the taste of the coffee, but this review is for my own record. I tried the daily special!

It was initially a Sawada Coffee Shop when I first visited. Now it is the Sapporo Coffee Kan Hiragishi store. The building was built in 1936 with Sapporo soft stone, and it used to be an apple sorting facility (from the website). I heard that Hiragishi used to be an apple orchard. There are other apple warehouse buildings in different locations as well. The sign for Sapporo Coffee Kan is located on the upper left side of the building. Below the store name, it says "Ethiopian Coffee Story." When it first opened, there was an Ethiopian staff member who served Ethiopian-style coffee using a coffee pot called Jabana. I still regret not having the courage to order it back then. The Jabana pot is still displayed inside the Sapporo Coffee Kan Hiragishi store. There are also other African souvenirs on display. The video footage of coffee-producing regions like Africa that I recorded in 2013 was still playing endlessly. The store opens at 9 am, but customers started coming in one after another as soon as it opened. This visit was on a Saturday. The store was still crowded on weekends as usual. This time, I ordered the morning set with a croque monsieur and the coffee of the day. It arrived shortly after ordering. The coffee was a premium blend with a complex flavor. It used to not seem unusual to me, but it might actually have a unique taste. It is likely a dark roast with Colombian beans. The croque monsieur was not extravagant, and the recipe seemed unchanged, although there was less cheese on top today. Despite the small imperfections, I will still come back tomorrow. The side dish was from the open sandwich ingredients. It was delicious. I wanted to visit the restroom if I had time, but it was crowded with customers, so I decided not to. The restroom is also stylish.

As I walked through Nakamichi, I saw some charming buildings along the way. Today, I decided to try their coffee. When I entered the shop, I was directed to the first floor. The seating was arranged to maintain social distancing, with some tables designated for that purpose. The interior had a calming atmosphere, with a mix of bright and slightly dim areas. I chose to sit at a table where sunlight streamed in. I skipped the sweet options and opted for a pure coffee experience. I was indecisive about which coffee to choose, so I went with this month's special, the Brazil Valentine's limited edition Chocola Blend. It was mentioned that it would take some time, but I was fine with waiting. After about 10 minutes, the coffee was ready. It was served in a pot for self-pouring. This was my second cup of coffee for the day. The Valentine's blend was a once-a-year treat. The first sip revealed a hint of sweetness followed by a pleasant bitterness. There wasn't much acidity, and the aroma was delightful. I appreciated being able to enjoy two cups from the pot. It was a relaxing moment.

I enjoyed my coffee while observing the various people around me - students studying, a chatty parent and child, and a relaxed elderly man. It was a smooth transition of customers and I was able to comfortably spend my time there. The morning coffee was a premium blend with a slight acidity, richness, and a pleasant bitterness. It was delicious. I guess early mornings really do have their perks! I ended up staying longer than planned, about 20 minutes over, because I was enjoying myself too much. Thank you for the meal!

The afternoon coffee, a European mild blend, is priced at ¥500 and has a nice bitter taste and aroma. The option for a refill at ¥250 makes it hard not to stay longer. It was still early in the morning, so I chose the morning set which included a croque monsieur and a cafe au lait for 650 yen including tax. The croque monsieur was delicious with curry-flavored chicken salad, melted cheese, and ham. I was planning to eat it with my hands, but they provided a knife and fork, so I used those instead. The cafe au lait had a light milk foam on top, and the coffee flavor was strong but not too bitter. My friend ordered French toast which had a coffee flavor and was not too sweet, and they enjoyed it. The atmosphere inside the cafe was calm with dim lighting. The first floor is non-smoking and the second floor is smoking. I added a little syrup to the Royal Milk Tea to adjust the sweetness. The butter toast was simple and good choice. I stayed for about 40 minutes. It's a relaxing space where you can be comfortable even by yourself, so I will use it again. Thank you for the meal♪

I secured a seat on the first floor, which is a non-smoking area, while the second floor is for smoking, but the smoke tends to come down a bit from the second floor, so it's slightly smoky. The interior is made of wood, stone, and plaster, with dim lighting creating a nice atmosphere. Their house blend costs 463 yen and is served in a tall, thick cup. It has a rich aroma and a deep roasted flavor with a nice bitterness and sweetness. Even when it cools down, there is no acidity.
